The A-Team

So this is the OU team that works best for me. What I find nice about it is the idea that 5/6 team members abuse weather conditions in some way.

Forretress.gif

Knox the Forretress
Item: Leftovers
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP/252 Def/4 SpDef
Relaxed Nature (+Def/-Spe)
Note: 0 Speed IVs
Stealth Rock
Rapid Spin
Volt Switch
Gyro Ball
This is the Mr. T of the my team if I would say so, as Forretress is one of my favorite pokemon. Anyways, Stealth Rock is absolutely essential for giving damage for pokemon out there like Kyurem-B, Dragonite, Salamence, etc. Rapid Spin is totally important to get rid of hazards for my own Salamence. Volt Switch allows Knox to take a hit for another pokemon rather than switching out into a powerful hit from the opponent, and Gyro Ball gives him a decent-enough offensive attack to ward off magic bounce pokemon like Espeon. Another nice touch is the immunity to sandstorm

Infernape_BW.gif

Son Goku the Infernape
Item: Life Orb
Ability: Blaze
EVs: 252 Atk/4 SpAtk/252 Spe
Naive Nature (+Spe/-SpDef)
Overheat
Close Combat
Stone Edge
U-turn
Infernape is a really underrated OU pokemon, but I find him just as useful as he was in DPP. His Overheat is insanely powerful, and its only boosted if sun happens to be shining as well.
Close Combat is another powerful STAB option,. Stone Edge is for coverage, obviously. U-Turn can hit slower Psychic types as well as switch out for other team members.
Alternatively, I could go for Grass Knot, but I find U-Turn to be the best option, as Overheat lowers its Special Attack greatly.

Salamence_BW.gif

Exodia the Salamence
Item: Choice Scarf
Ability: Moxie
EVs: 252 Atk/4 SpAtk/252 Spe
Naive Nature (+Spe/-SpDef)
Outrage
Dragon Claw
Earthquake
Fire Blast
This may be a generic late-game sweeping Salamence, but it's still a powerful attacker that everyone fears. Outrage is a standard all-out attacking option, while Dragon Claw is an option for if I don't want to get locked into Outrage for some set-up sweeper. Earthquake is for coverage, and so is Fire Blast. All the while, Choice Scarf almost ensures going first, while Moxie raises attack with every kill. One thing I am wondering is if I should replace Exodia with a speedy Choice Scarf Garchomp I have named Krusha, who serves the same purpose as Salamence, but gets STAB Earthquake as well as faster speed along with a Choice Scarf, not to mention the better usage of Stone Edge.

Weegee the Jellicent
Item: Leftovers
Ability: Water Absorb
EVs: 248 HP/216 Def/44 Spe
Bold Nature (+Def/-Atk)
Surf
Will-O-Wisp
Recover
Taunt
Jellicent is another one of those pokemon that I love using but that I don't find many others using. I prefer using Surf and Will-O-Wisp over Scald and Toxic, because I don't trust the 30% chance of burn with Scald, plus Surf's got more power. Recover and Taunt are godsends for a pokemon like Jellicent, I find Taunt being total game-changers, plus Recover allows stalling to be something Weegee's the best at. The main reason why I would choose Jellicent is just that wonderful Ghost/Water typing, avoiding fighting moves and Rapid Spin, as well as burning powerhouses like Tyranitar or Scizor.

212.png

Skizzers the Scizor
Item: Life Orb
Ability: Technician
EVs: 248 HP/252 Atk/8 SpDef
Adamant Nature (+Atk/-SpAtk)
Bullet Punch
U-turn
Superpower
Pursuit
Scizor is not only one of my favorite pokemon, but also an insanely powerful pokemon in OU. This may not be the most orthodox set for Scizor, but I find it just as potent as the Choice Band set. Bullet Punch and U-turn are obvious STAB options on any Scizor. Superpower is THE coverage option for Scizor, although sometimes I debate Brick Break due to the lack of drawback like with Superpower, and Pursuit is to not let Psychic or Ghost pokemon escape his wrath.

Volteon the Jolteon
Item: Choice Specs
Ability: Volt Absorb
EVs: 4 Def/252 SpAtk/252 Spe
Timid Nature (+Spe/-Atk)
Thunder
Volt Switch
Signal Beam
Hidden Power Ice
I love Jolteon for two reasons: the fastest Volt Switch you'll ever see, and it's awesome ability to be immune to electric attacks. Thunder is the STAB move of choice, ESPECIALLY when rain is the weather. Volt Switch allows for a totally quick switch while doing damage. Signal Beam and Hidden Power Ice are just for pure coverage, and HP Ice is absolutely awesome against Dragonite, Garchomp, and Salamence. The best part is that all of this is the Choice Specs boosting all of these moves in the process. However, I would like some feedback as to whether or not I should replace the Choice Specs with a Life Orb.

Okay I like this team a lot, it eases prediction and helps keep momentum in your favor by Volt Turning often. Most of my changes are pretty insignificant.
First, I think you should realize that while sometimes some of your pokemon benefit from being in a certain weather, its not likely that you'll encounter that weather very often.
that being said I would suggest Thunderbolt over Thunder on Jolteon, in Rain it may be more effective, but you should realize that won't happen often and its even detrimental in the sun, reducing the accuracy to 50%
This is just a matter of preference, but you might consider Iron Fists over Blaze on Infernape
I really, really, really think you need Choice Band on Scizor, I mean, he isn't meant to take hits, he gets in and he gets out and that's it.
While Jellicent is great and all, and I know you want the synergy of a physical spiker and special spinblocker. Rotom-Wash would be a better choice here in my opinion. He's once of the best Volt Switcher. I noticed Starmie gave your team a lot of trouble, he can threaten your whole team bar Jolteon. Scarf Rotom-W helps this, just a suggestion though.
503.png

Rotom-W @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spe
Timid Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Volt Switch
- Surf
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Trick

If you're not going to run Rain, use Thunderbolt over Thunder on Jolteon. 70% is horrible accuracy and Jolteon can't afford to miss things. Also, Sun renders you STAB-less.

I prefer to change your Salamence into the powerful Kyurem - B with Choice Band / Choice Scarf. He has a great bulking capability and a normal damage to the ice type attacks. I chose him in my team and it works well

Mence is a superior late game sweeper. He hits the essential base 100 tier to tie with the likes of Victini (and survives sun boosted scarfed V-Creates to boot) and annoying things like Jirachi (whom Kyu-B is smashed by).

Mence also comes with Moxie, which turns him into a win condition once Steels are down as your STAB shreds through the remains of the enemy team.

Every HO needs a Scarfer or Speed boosting sweeper to wrap up the game once counters are worn down/eliminated IMO, so keep Mence. Kyu is better off running his Hone Claws Phazer set in OU anyway, what with the prevalence of Scizor and Breloom.

Hi fellow A-team fan. I like your team but there is some things that will hopefully improve your team. Fistly due to the offensive nature of your team, I suggest you use Custap Berry Forretress > your current set since it doesn't lose much momentum while setting up hazards. With that change I suggest Gengar > Jellicent. Gengar is the best choice if you're looking for an offensive spinblocker. Jellicent on an offensive team like yours really does nothing except lose momentum. Gengar however can pack a punch with good coverage and great Speed & Special Attack. With those changes, Salamence would sweep through teams like there's no tomorrow. Then like the users above me said, use Thunderbolt > Thunder since there's no guarantee that Rain would be up, as a matter of fact if Drought is active, which summons Sun, you'd be stuck with a 50% accurate move. Regarding your Scizor set, since you're not using CB I would go for Iron Plate. The reason for that is with LO Scizor gets worn down rather quickly, but with Iron Plate a) you're bluffing a CB and b) you actually survive for a longer periode during the match. Hope I helped you and Good Luck~

@beaver, rotom-w can't learn surf...

Overall, the team is good. I would watch out for sheer force landorus who could cause trouble for your team. On that note,

1. Thunderbolt > thunder as everybody else said. But try expert belt over choice specs. You can bluff the specs, while not being locked into a move.
2. Don't switch rotom-w for jellicent, otherwise scarf keldeo with hp ice can easily 1to2hko your entire team.
3. Lastly, choice band would be good on your scizor set, but you may be able to try swords dance scizor so it can sweep late game with salamence.
