I wish focus miss worked liked that for me as well...
8.5/10

If only Focus Miss worked for me that well 99% of the time.

Nice formatting and good commentary. Enjoyed reading through this one. Also, congratulations for beating taylor.

Thanks for reading!

I have never seen a SD U Turn Scizor, personally. I don't see the point of that set anymore than I do the Cobalion set. If you're going to use a momentum move like U Turn or Volt Switch, you're better off not trying to boost up; just use choice band/specs. Saves you a turn.

I'm very interested in what that Cobalion set was specifically designed to do, as I said earlier.

Guys, criticism is part of the game when it comes to warstories. I'm not here to personally attack someone, just pointing out what I perceived as minor flaws in this particular warstory. (and what is being focused on, my one comment about the opponent's team construction, isn't that big of a deal in this one).

Bottom line, my criticism is just that: criticism. It isn't a personal attack, and I'm not ripping on an otherwise good warstory. But if the purpose of the warstory archive is to post anything and then expect no negative comments, I'm in the wrong place, I guess.

hey, here, check this out and stop wrecking this thread. You'll find that most of the time (as in every time ever except right now) criticism for warstories involves things like "your comments were too dull" or "the battle was uninteresting." Save "that Cobalion set is weak" for the RMT.

I have to say I really enjoyed reading this warstory. The commentary was entertaining and informative, and the battle entertaining and interesting. I, for one, don't think that the misplays took anything away from the story. They make things more interesting, more unpredictable and above all more relevant to actual battling. People make mistakes in battles, and knowing how to come back from those mistakes and seeing the consequences of those mistakes is just as vital to learning and documenting the metagame as seeing sets work as planned is. The same goes for hax. While you don't want a game overwhelmed with either, a little bit of both is natural and SHOULD be expected, not shunned.

So anyway, mini rant done. Love your warstory and can't wait for the next one. I can only hope that the warstory I'm working on currently turns out half as good as this one did.

Oh, and could you link me to that warstory producing site or whatever? I've already formatted the warstory I'm working on now but it'll make things a HELL of a lot smoother the next time I decide to write one up.

Unfortunately, I used Protect on turn 9, so I really couldn't, or I would have. I'm glad you liked it otherwise!

Actually, since he switched on turn nine, your Protect failed; so you could have used it perfectly safely on turn ten (a failed Protect won't increase the counter). That was the major nitpick that stuck out to me too, but other than that it was a good battle and an enjoyable read.
