The Chumps (Need Help)

I based it around Machamp as the core. It's had some surprising success vs other teams, however it still could use some work.

I appreciate constructive feedback for my team, especially with underrated pokemon or moves.

The basis of the whole team is practically "bulky attacking", a mix of bulk and attack that allows me to switch in more often in exchange for some loss of offense.

Hercules (Machamp)

@ Life Orb
Trait: No Guard
EVs: 252 HP / 212 Atk / 44 Spd
Adamant Nature
- DynamicPunch
- Stone Edge
- Ice Punch
- Bulk Up / Bullet Punch

One day, I thought "How could I make Machamp more beastly?" Then I decided, "Hey why don't I make it hold a life orb?" And man. This thing kills. I decided to swap HP and Atk evs for more bulk. The amount of switches this gets is incredible, and often I have to predict a switch to let's say Chandelure with a Stone Edge. However, it can't deal with all of its counters. That's what the other pokemon are for. Ice Punch is there to counter Gligar, basically forcing you to Dynamic Punch then hope he doesn't roost when you throw out an Ice Punch. Bulk up can be replaced with another move perhaps. If only Machamp had Mach Punch.

Absol

u scurred? (Absol) @

Choice Band
Trait: Super Luck
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spd / 4 SpD
Jolly Nature
- Superpower
- Megahorn/Psystrike
- Sucker Punch
- Night Slash

Why Absol, you may ask?
First of all I'm a sucker for underused pokemon, that's for sure.
Cofagrigus is one of the most annoying walls to deal with, however with Absol it's a two hit KO including Night Slash. Plus with Night Slash's high crit rate, it's easy to OHKO Cofagrigus with a bit of super luck. (hehe)Complements Machamp well since it takes away those pesky ghost type. Sucker Punch makes up for its lackluster speed and gives a much needed priority. Choice Band over Swords dance allows for an immediate power boost.

At Dusk... (Dusknoir)
477.png
@ Leftovers
Trait: Pressure
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 HP / 4 SDef
Adamant Nature
- Shadow Sneak
- Substitute
- Focus Punch
- Earthquake

The Bulky Attacker. For some reason disliked... However, it works amazingly well, no one expects it and it's damn good. Golurk has nothing on Dusknoir, since no one can beat its bulk.
Focus Punch is nothing to laugh at. Shadow Sneak is unfortunately too good to pass up for Shadow Punch.
Plenty of battles have been won on Shadow Sneak and Focus Punch. I picked this underrated pokemon for its bulk and attack. Max Attack isn't shabby. Max HP makes its bulk immense. It has that perfect balance of bulk

Prefer Dusknoir over Dusclops for it's better HP and attack... mainly the latter. Not sure for the fourth move spot; will o wisp, pain split or eq. eq seems redundant, but there's a lot of pokemon weak to ground and not fighting, including threats like Nidoking, Raikou, etc.

Quizno's (Rotom-Heat)
479-heat.png
@ Leftovers

Trait: Levitate
EVs: 120 HP / 252 SAtk / 136 Spd
Modest Nature
- Overheat
- Thunderbolt
- Will-O-Wisp
- Pain Split

The glue on this team, helps out against grass and water types as well as steel types. It's simplistic, but very effective. Physical attackers will fear the Will-O-Wisp + Pain Split combo. Sometimes the low speed let's it down, but it helps greatly vs Raikou and Zapdos. It's bulk completely prevents Zapdos from doing anything in particular. One of its problems is that since it's my main counter vs water types, I can't switch in without getting a Surf or Scald in the face. Pain split is insane, it get's it out of tough situations.

Aerodactyl

142.gif

Aero Assault (Aerodactyl)
142.png
@ Focus Sash
Trait: Pressure
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 Atk / 4 HP
Jolly Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Taunt
- Stone Edge
- Earthquake

Some people might chastise me for this, but I still like to use leads. Aerodactyl happened to fit my team to a tee; it prevents setting up as the best taunt user in the metagame, barring Tornados who can be OHKO'd, and Murkrow who is 2HKO. Stealth Rocks helps against threats like Arcanine.
EdgeQuake provides the excellent coverage it needs. There isn't much that can counter it, and coming from a 100 attack it has to hurt.

Milotic

350.gif

Dragonair (Milotic)
350.png
@ Leftovers
Trait: Marvel Scale
EVs: 248 HP / 8 Spd / 56 SDef / 196 Def
Calm Nature
- Rest
- Sleep Talk
- Scald
- Dragon Tail

Expendable honestly. I like it however for it's amazing bulk because of Marvel Scale when resting, Sleep Talk for Dragon Tail is pretty good too. Good counter for the fire types in the UU and is a good phazer. Suicune could replace it with a Mono-attacking set.
I need a good bulky water type. Maybe Lanturn, but I prefer physical defensiveness...
If there was a pokemon that had heal bell just in general, that would be fine too.

You may like leads, and I understand that. But you have some huge holes in your team, and they need to be patched up. The biggest one is a Quagsire weakness; Quagsire loves usage due to Unaware. This can be patched up by going Ferroseed > Aerodactyl. No Quagsire is bold enough to even be fighting a Grass-type Pokemon, and Ferroseed can still keep hazards down. If replacing Aerodactyl is not good for you, then I dunno where to put Ferroseed. But you need it.

627.png

Ferroseed @ Eviolite
Trait: Iron Barbs
EVs: 248 Def / 252 HP / 8 SDef
Relaxed Nature
IVs: 0 SAtk / 0 Spd
- Spikes / Stealth Rock
- Gyro Ball
- Leech Seed
- Protect

A dude, incase you forgot, this is UU, not NU. Ferroseed has no buisness being up here.

If you honestly need a grass-type that can set hazards Roserade is much better.

407.gif

Roserade @ Black Sludge
Trait: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 HP / 120 Def / 136 SpD
Calm Nature
- Spikes
- Giga Drain
- Sludge Bomb
- Rest / Synthesis

Sets up spikes, stops Quagsire, good all around. Much better than Ferroseed.

Of course hardly anyone uses Quagsire so you can ignore both rates.

Gengan, that is very biased to say. Ferroseed can perform in this metagame (and it is RU not NU). Also, Quagsire is a pain in the neck to deal with. If you are not prepared for it, it will stop your team cold.

If you go the Roserade set, go HP Fire/HP Ice > Sludge Bomb because Poison has horrible coverage.

If anything, Swampert will get more usage than Quagsire.
But I guess you're right, I may need some more coverage.
I'll try out Roserade and then Ferroseed, and see if they work any better than Aerodactyl, which I like for taunt and Stealth Rocks
I would like some more suggestions for my water type though, I think Milotic is expendable atm.

Ok Hi, just got some stuff to say:

Your team is susceptible to hazards as your only two spikes immunities are weak to stealth rock weak. UU is huge on hazards, and you really need a spinner to patch this up. I would replace milotic with blastoise for spinning as well as phazing and scald. IT has better bulk than you would think and really fits your team better.

Blastoise @ leftovers
Nature: Bold (+ Def -Atk)
EVs: 252 HP/ 136 Def/ 120 SpD
-Scald
-Roar
-Rapid Spin
-Ice Beam or whatever

Roar is preferred over Dtail as it allows you to phaze thrrough subCM raikou and subDD Kingdras' substitutes

In reply to the other posters, I think he wants a Stealth Rocker so I would go with bisharp over either aerodactyl or absol. It doesn't particularly hurt your synergy, and provides either a stealth rocker or an offensive dark type. If you're fine with aero then just switch absol anyway as it is outclassed.

Stealth Rock Bisharp is not the terror that Swords Dance Bisharp is. Seriously, I have tried it, and it only works on Ambipom.

Okay, I tried Blastoise and realized "Wow, for what reason didn't I add him in?"

Then I remembered... Milotic was a status absorber and didn't mind at all sleep inducers.
I definitely think Blastoise is more useful though and I think it's a permanent addition.
I gave Blastoise toxic since Ice Beam isn't really useful as coverage imo.

I wasn't a huge fan of Roserade really. Stealth Rocks is much more useful and taunt helps a lot. Sure, Sleep Powder is amazing, but still...
