Errr from what I saw, Luongo outplayed whatever Chicago threw at him (with the Canucks shitty play), and Niemi had a solid D of Keith, Seabrook, Campbell and Hjarlmsson (however you spell it) in front of him. I didn't see those great saves sorry. Sure he made some good saves, but those are expected out of any playoff goalie.
 
watching sharks vs wings game at the moment... detroit's D really tightened up and special team got better, but sharks got some skillful shots into the goal making it 3-3. Jimmy Howard is being exposed, the D is saving him almost every time..

edit: heh, defensive meltdown in the end and sharks win :)

I'm sorry, was that the sound of Seabrook actually CHECKING his men and being agressive all around, whether in defense or offense? Oh sorry, was that the sound of the Canucks defencemen letting offensive rush after another? On the powerplay?

I guess not, if you didn't see the same play as I was seeing.
 
I'm asking out of ignorance, but is Halak the guys the Habs will turn to in the future? If so, where does that leave Price? If not, what happens with him?

I think Price is still the guy that the Canadiens are hoping to be their goalie of the future. Halak is just playing exceptionally well these playoffs, and Price hasn't been too hot lately. Price has had his chances, so inevitably Montreal is getting a bit antsy regarding his status as their #1 goalie. However, the fact that he has so much potential and was such a highly-touted prospect leads me to believe that the Canadiens are willing to wait a bit more on Price. With that said, if Price doesn't start showing he can be the team's #1 goalie on a consistent basis, who knows what'll happen!
 
Lol, came back and checked the sharks vs red wings box score.. and Sharks got crushed. Looks like Detroit is waking up after an embarrassing defeat.

Also.. go Habs! I hate Penguins

Yes, the Wings completely humiliated the Sharks... and Franzen set a club record for most points in a playoff game! Just goes to show the old saying is true, "The cornered rat bites the cat".

Also pulling for the Habs, although I'm admittedly an optomistic fellow.
 
Don't worry nig I'm here ;). Botched reversal, and all our first liners contributed to that goal, beautiful to watch YEAHHH!
 
man wtf, Joe Thornton makes some of the most beautiful passes I've ever seen. His last pass behind the net to Scott Nichol was textbook, but Jimmy Howard made a nice save

Remind me why you a sharks fan.. MS... you australian, not californian
 
Howard has been clutch this game, made some very good saves! The same reason I'm a Ravens fan in NFL, a Lakers fan in NBA and a Rangers fan in the MLB; they were the first complete matches I watched for each sport, and at the time I started supporting these teams they were all good but not elite (I started supporting the Lakers in 97, so before we started winning in the new millenium). The Sharks electrifying attack just got me interested in hockey so I've supported them since!
 
GAME OVER! YAYAYAYA. I sense a Sharks Stanley Cup win, only team giving them a challenge is Blackhawks, fuck the east.

But anyways.. Lakers Suck, Ravens suck, Rangers suck. But Sharks party for only me and MS and hot hoes! all other bitches stay out!
