I'd disagree. The nucks had plenty of shots on Niemi and he made some pretty great saves throughout the game. The first goal was probably nerves, the second goal was a 5-3 PP, and after that he let nothing in. He went close to a full 60 minutes without letting in a goal, and I'm gonna give him props when he deserves it.
I see you're completely disregarding the other 35 minutes where he made plenty of nice saves
you must not have been watching the same game as I was
Wow, maybe the Sharks won't choke and actually make the finals. :)
I think Price is still the guy that the Canadiens are hoping to be their goalie of the future. Halak is just playing exceptionally well these playoffs, and Price hasn't been too hot lately. Price has had his chances, so inevitably Montreal is getting a bit antsy regarding his status as their #1 goalie. However, the fact that he has so much potential and was such a highly-touted prospect leads me to believe that the Canadiens are willing to wait a bit more on Price. With that said, if Price doesn't start showing he can be the team's #1 goalie on a consistent basis, who knows what'll happen!I'm asking out of ignorance, but is Halak the guys the Habs will turn to in the future? If so, where does that leave Price? If not, what happens with him?
