The Flaming Chicken - Need Suggestions

I've been using this for about 2 weeks. Its been doing well but lately has been losing. This does better against bog standard teams that I usually see in the upper tier of people but loses against random stuff. One problem I've been having is dealing with Gengar and Heracross respectively. Another problem is Chomp coming at times and wrecking after my Moltres and Bronzong are low. I play some poor players or some people that don't plain expect WoW on Moltres and it catches some T-tar/Chomp etc off guard but generally doesn't work all the time.. so yeah I need your guy's help make this team better as I don't want to scrap it totally. Of course posting it here doesn't stop the problem but I've lately just talk with only a few people about my teams and decided to get more of an outside opinion on what needs to be added.

Moltres @ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 HP/252 Def/4 Spd
Bold nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Flamethrower
- Substitute
- Roost
- Will-o-wisp

Basic wall for my team and a good starter since many people start Zong. Most people call this set an "annoyer" set but really people don't understand why I keep it in until they realize they have no more PP left from X move.
---
Starmie @ Leftovers
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 106 HP/152 Spd/252 SAtk
Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Recover
- Rapid Spin
- Thunderbolt
- Surf

Moltres being weak to SR means I need a spinner, so Starmie was added. Its a counter to Gyarados too which does cause my teams some troubles, esp the STing variant and WoW doesn't really affect it. Originally my first set was more bulky and I may go back to it.
---
Tyranitar (M) @ Expert Belt
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 252 HP/252 SDef
Naughty nature (+Atk, -SDef)
- Crunch
- Fire Blast
- Stone Edge
- Earthquake
Not the best set out there but it catches Zong, Skarm, and Scizor off guard with Fire Blast. Expert Belt is lacking though as there aren't enough monsters super effective to Rock and Dark in the metagame, so I may go to Choice Band.
---
Bronzong @ Light Clay
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP/252 Def/4 Spd
Relaxed nature (+Def, -Speed)
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- Reflect
- Gyro Ball

Odd Set but it helps walling some teams. The EVs are probably bad too so I need some help on that. Gyro Ball is an okay attacking move nailing Chomp a little harder but less efficient because most Chomp carry Fire Fang or Fire Blast. Nails Gengar too, which is nice.
---
Garchomp (M) @ Yache Berry
Ability: Sand Veil
EVs: 252 Atk/252 Spd/4 SDef
Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Dragon Claw
- Earthquake
- Fire Fang
- Swords Dance

best sweeper in the game, so I run it
---
Snorlax (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Thick Fat
EVs: 104 Atk/200 Def/4 Spd/200 SDef
Careful nature (+SDef, -SAtk)
- Sleep Talk
- Gyro Ball/Crunch/Curse
- Rest
- Return

Weird EVs aside, I really like this set but I wish I could have Curse on here as it catches some people off guard. Although it doesn't sweep like it used to back in the day it definitely scares some people. Gyro Ball hits Gengar and T-tar respectively, while Crunch will quickly make the opponent wish Gengar didnt come in on a switch. Like I said I would rather have Curse on here some how but Sleep Talk seems to important. This is definitely one of the pokemon I would take out and is mostly filler

Threat List: There is none atm but I will add one when I get the time.

Well with the addition of Choice Band Tyranitar, opposing Ghost-type Pokemon will suffer a premiture death through Pursuit, which will inevitably permit Snorlax to effectively use Rest + Sleep Talk with Curse. Of course there are more threats that will prolong and successfully stop your Snorlax sweep, so it's not vital. But, you have yourself mentioned that Fire Blast and Expert Belt aren't working personally for you, which therefore forces me to further advise the addition of Choice Band Tyranitar. With Snorlax, if you chose to relagate the Curse set, then run Pursuit instead of such. Opposing Gengar (as you have mentioned) is an un-wanted, yet severe threat to your team.

I believe the lack of Garchomp coverage will become your biggest weakness. Once a set-up has initiated, presumably on Tyranitar or Snorlax, you will find that Bronzong and Starmie will be your last-ditch effort in OHKOing opposing Garchomp before you fall. Yes, you have your own Garchomp to tie-break it out, but I don't believe that it's the safe, secure route to take. I think we can argue with confidence that it's fairly evident that a Gliscor would remedy Garchomp, Tyranitar (non-Ice Beam varients), Lucario and Heracross respectively.

Summazing, I believe that Gliscor would operate tremendously well over Tyranitar/Snorlax. If you feel that Snorlax isn't as effective and the option to replace, then shift Tyranitar's EVs to the Special Defense EV spread with a Careful nature (Jibaku Tyranitar). On the other hand, if Tyranitar's Sand Stream affects Snorlax, Starmie and Moltres for the worse, amongst bringing forth other concerns, then make sure that Pursuit is the 4th move on Snorlax. Bronzong could use Rest + Sleep Talk with Gyro Ball / Earthquake / Toxic or whatever you feel is best if you add Stealth Rock onto Gliscor alternatively.

I like what you suggested with Bronzong and adding Gliscor to the team. My guess is that I would have to invest some SDef EVs into Zong to deal with Gengar well? Careful will be added to T-tar with Choice Band and Pursuit. I also noticed I had Naughty Nature on my T-tar.. lol.

I never noticed the Naughty nature... <_____<

With regards to Bronzong and the Special Defense EVs, I would presume so, yes. However, note that Tyranitar with the Special Defense EVs can withstand Gengar's Focus Blast with Life Orb, and Pursuit for the return OHKO. So, you don't have to go all-out on Bronzong with the Special Defense EVs.

this is my spread for it atm

Bronzong @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP/130 Def/128 SDef
Impish nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Earthquake
- Gyro Ball
- Rest
- Sleep Talk

You will want to maximize Bronzong's Gyro Ball power, therefore you must use a nature that reduces your Speed, increasing the difference between you and your opponent's Speed stat.

Here's the Smogon analysis set:

252 HP / 152 Atk / 8 Def / 96 SpD - Relaxed nature

0 IVs in Speed.

is that an actual good spread, like are the EVs in Attack worth it?

I have the 0 Speed part.. I just forgot Relaxed :[

The Attack ensures the OHKO on Gengar with no EVs in either HP or Defense. But, deviding the EVs accordingly between Defense and Special Defense remains an effective option.

Snorlax doesn't get Gyro Ball, so remove that as an option(Gamefreak wouldn't do that either, CurseLicky would be completely inferior then).

The standard spread is excellent and it also allows you to OHKO Jolly Tyranitar after a DD.

Props for using Moltres, but I think you will find Stealth Rock to be hard to use, especially if they have a Weavile. Speaking of Weavile, it destroys this team. I think you should put in Forretress>Bronzong and remove Rapid Spin from Starmie. You can now counter MixApe, Garchomp, and Gyarados. Forretress can Rapid Spin without being revenge killed by Weavile, who is more common than Magnezone anyways.
