id rather a better answer to standard gliscor (eq roost stealth rock ice fang) since zong cant touch it if something else is asleep and gyara and zard are taking stealth rock damage with no recovery as cruel can switch in to get rid of sr for them. definetely surf on cruel for that an for nape, even ice fang on rhyperior, (who's presence i kinda wonder about without sand or a serious intention to sweep. by serious intention to sweep i mean either with agility pass+swords dance, trick room +swords dance or lifeorb rock polish)

to help your problem even more try wish vaporeon over gyarados, whom perior on charizard will love. no status taker/sleep talker is worrying a bit, maybe sleep talk>pursuit on hera xD
 
i was suggesting replacing gyarados actually, bronzong helps you beat chomp

i also wasnt saying gyarados cant beat gliscor, but that he cant switch in on him repeatedly with sr down.
 
ice fang on rhyperior to beat gliscor since you have fewer problems with celebi (thanks to hera and zard) than with gliscor .

i was wondering about the utility of that rhyperior since he seems geared defensively despite having no sand to boost his terrible sdef
 
Wouldn't Hidden Power [Grass] or even [Electric] work better on Tentacruel?

Plus Electric hits Gyarados especially hard, you know, the ones who try and Taunt or Dragon Dance instead of use Earthquake?

Plus if it makes a difference, Charizard uses Hidden Power Grass, so you have less need for another Grass Attack.


Sure Giga Drain heals, but not by much with its low base power, and your minimal Special Attack EV investment, even when super effective (except vs Swampert).

Overall go for HP Electric. Also, whenever I use Tentacruel/Vaporeon I always use Hydro Pump for more power, and it pays off. It does wonderous damage to Lucario, Gengar, etc.

I often use Tentacruel to take on Lucario (as it resists Close Combat), and since it usually goes 2nd to Lucario, the Close Combat Special Defense drop really helps to let Hydro Pump go for the surprise KO.

Hydro Pump also does alot to even Spiritomb and Dusknoir. And consider Toxic Spikes over Sludge Bomb, handles Blissey, and other walls nicely.
 
Honestly, I like the creativity in this team. It's nice to finally see a team with no Garchomp...

Your lead should be running Lum berry. Bronzong will sleep you in seconds
 
Hydro Pump has 85% accuracy, meaning it will miss 15 times if you use it 100 times.

The power is worth it though.

Consider this:

5 Surfs with STAB = 95 x 1.5 = 142.5 x 5 = 712 Power

4 Hydro Pumps (1 misses) with STAB = 120 x 1.5 = 180 x 5 = 720


Hydro Pump hits 85% of the time, I did a calculation of Hydro Pump hitting 80% of the time, and it still does more damage.

So in other words, it is worth it.
 
gyara can give your sweepers problems and then continue to setup and then kkthxbai. Either add HP electric on Zard or on vaporeon over Ice beam.
 
I wouldn't rely on Tentacruel to bring down Gyara. With your EV spread HP Electric would only 2HKO a Gyara with no investment in HP whatsoever, and Earthquake will rip a rather large hole into Tentacruel in return.
