Hey guys, this is thenewguy22 (not Joo) here with my first ever RMT. I wanted to make a team build around a Zard X and Wobbuffet core because it's a core I've been wanting to use for a while and it pwns noobs works really well.
charizard-mega-x.gif
wobbuffet.gif

(please excuse my lack of sprites for the teambuilding process, blame it on Dread Arceus)
(Insert sprites of Charizard and Wobbuffet here)
So I obviously started the team off with Zard X and Wobbuffet, the core I wanted to build around. It's pretty simple, Wobbuffet traps mons Zard doesnt like, and either counters/mirror coats them to death or encores them into will-o/rocks/some other status move that gets zard a free switch in and dragon dance.

(Instert Latios sprite here)
So obviously since I'm using Zard X I need a defogger. I found that there are only about 3 solid defoggers/spinners for offensively based teams, and the one I chose to use is Latios, which gives me a decent switch-in to keldeo, and can remove those hazards while also not giving up offensive firepower.

(Insert Raikou sprite here)
Here I needed a strong special attacker that could beat the bulky waters in the tier such as slowbro, slowking, rotom W and suicune, while also being able to keep up offensive momentum and check birdspam. Raikou seemed like a perfect fit, as it does all of the aforementioned things extremely well.

(Insert Landorus Sprite here)
It seems like these days with all the fast threats running around (Lopunny, Manectric, Talon, even Beedrill), a scarfer is extremely necessary on all teams, especially offense. Lando T fit in well here, as it serves as an offensive pivot and can intimidate setup sweepers as well.

(Insert Ferrothorn Sprite Here)
Ferrothorn was added as my rocker, and also as my only switch in to latis/azu/raikou. I felt like a suicide lead was not needed on this team as I will be clicking defog a lot with lati to support zard.

And now, on to the team.

Ability: Tough Claws
EVs: 80 HP / 216 Atk / 216 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Flare Blitz
- Dragon Dance
- Roost
- Dragon Claw

The sweeping part of the Wobbu-Zard X core. I've always really like using zard X just because of how hard it hits and how much it is able to set up on. Zard is a bit like a poor man's mega mence, setting up on much of the tier and being able to do massive damage with its dual STABs. Dragon Dance obviously to boost speed and attack, and roost to be able to recover off stealth rock damage/weaker attacks such as rotom-W's hydro pump and Clefable's moonblast. The evs given outspeed gyarados/mega gyarados while also maintaining an odd HP number and giving Zard a solid amount of bulk. 90% of the time, this is my win-con.

wobbuffet.gif

Team Rocket (Wobbuffet) @ Sitrus Berry
Ability: Shadow Tag
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Def / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
- Counter
- Safeguard
- Encore
- Mirror Coat

Ahh, Wobbuffet, the second part of the core this team was build around. The amount of mons this thing can get rid of is insane. It can switch in to just about any neutral attack and either get rid of the mon, or lock it into a setup move for Zard to come in on. This thing is excellent at taking down Zard's checks such as Hippo, Heatran, Scarf Keldeo, ect. Counter and Mirror Coat obviously to pick up KOs, and encore to prevent it from being setup bait. Safeguard allows wobbuffet to lock mons such as gliscor into toxic, then being able to switch freely without being worried about having something else get statused. 252 in both defensive stats because Fett has a massive HP stat already. Most of the time, I like to click encore with this thing because I hate going for counter and having the opponent set up an SD, I'd rather play it safe.

latios.gif

Standard.Standard (Latios) (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Hasty Nature
IVs: 29 HP
- Draco Meteor
- Earthquake
- Defog
- Psyshock

The best offensive defogger in OU, and the most used mon on all of my teams. I swear my teams are never any good without having a lati on them. Earthquake turns this set into a heatran lure, removing another Zard Counter as I am not running EQ on Zard. The rest of the moves are on EVERY latios, with draco doing massive damage to anything that doesn't resist it, psyshock as a secondary STAB and a move to hit Spdef mons, and defog to remove the rocks that Wobbuffet will most likely give up. Only 29 HP ivs to hit a life orb number, but the rest of the Evs should be self-explanitory, Max speed and special attack to hit as hard as possible because Life orb EQ still OHKOs most Tran builds.

raikou.gif

Doge 1 (Raikou) @ Choice Specs
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 2 Atk / 30 Def
- Thunderbolt
- Shadow Ball
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Volt Switch

(Not putting this in yellow cuz its too hard to see:])
I don't have too much explaining to do on this one, this is just standard specs Raikou. This thing fits in great with my team because it can threaten out all the bulky water in the tier, get Zard and Wobbu free switch ins with volt switches on predicted switches, or remove the biggest threat to zard X in the tier, being defensive lando T. Catching that thing on the switch with HP ice is fantastic. I chose specs over AV or SubCM because I think the immediate power specs gives is much more important to this team than more bulk or another setup move. Another one of my favorite mons to use. I chose this over thundurus because I didn't want another weakness to rocks, and because I felt I didn't need Thunder Wave support. Raikou can also 2HKO Sand rush Excadrill with shadow ball after it has taken just one LO hit, which is extremely helpful, as I don't have a ton of answers to sand.

landorus-therian.gif

Doge 2 (Landorus-Therian) (M) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 28 HP / 252 Atk / 228 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Earthquake
- Superpower
- U-turn
- Stone Edge

Oh, landorus, why do you fit on every team? I took a look at my team and saw that I had very few answers to specifically lopunny and mega beedrill, while also lacking a decent revenge killer. Landorus does both of those jobs perfectly, while also acting as a pivor with U-Turn. I'm running superpower over knock off or explosion (lol) because I need to hit cloyster again, this team lacks answers to lopunny. The evs are a bit funky, but I gave this thing just 228 speed evs so I could get outsped by other variants of scarf lando and therefore get off a slower U-Turn, giving me switch priority. Intimidate is fantastic for weakening setup sweepers (specifically dragon dancers) and being able to take them on without their +1 attack.

ferrothorn.gif

Don't Touch (Ferrothorn) @ Leftovers
Ability: Iron Barbs
EVs: 252 HP / 88 Def / 168 SpD
Relaxed Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Gyro Ball
- Stealth Rock
- Protect
- Leech Seed

Standard Ferrothorn here, this thing is so incredibly bulky and will always remain one of the best defensive mons in OU. I thought about running knock off, but I felt protect was necessary because I need to heal as much as possible from leech seed since this is my only mon that can really take a hit on this team. Ferrothorn acts as a counter to non-Hp fire lati, Non-superpower Azu, Non-flamethrower clefable and non-flare blitz darmanitan, as well as many other offensive mons in the tier. The evs and moves are standard, I have stealth rocks because what is a competitive team without hazards? Gyro ball to hit things decently hard with ferrothorn's nichze 40 speed, leech seed for recovery, and leftovers because I never see magnezone unless I'm running bulky Mega Scizor.

So that's the team, feel free to try it out and give me suggestions on how I could improve it! I haven't really been able to ladder with this team yet with all the suspects going on, but I guess I would be around 16-1700 based on where I have been in the past!

hippowdon.gif
I don't have a whole lot to hit the SPdef variant, the physically defensive set can be handled by Raikou and Lati, but my best bet against this thing is usually to PP stall its slack offs with Wobbuffet.
gardevoir-mega.gif
Don't know if this is too common or not, but a taunt/CM set would just blow through my team. As is, though, I have ZERO switches into this monster, and again, I usually have to rely on Wobbuffet to take this out.

Let me know if you think of more

Hey, you're a fren, so I'll help you out.

This is a pretty solid team, Charizard-X + Wobbuffet is an extremely underrated core that can be used to great success. Anyways, let's get straight into this rate. In it's current version, your team has 0 switch-ins to Choice Band Azumarill, as it has the potential to 2HKO / OHKO your entire team with it's dual STAB, Knock Off for Latios, and Superpower for Ferrothorn (Dunno why it would run both, but can't be too careful.). To help remedy this weakness, along with your Mega Gardevoir weakness, I would recommend running Choice Band Scizor in place of your Landorus-T. CB Scizor gives you a perfect switch in to Mega Gardevoir along with being able to revenge kill both Mega Lopunny and Azumarill when weakened. My other suggestion, which is rather nitpicky, is to run a spread of 52 HP / 232 Def / 224 SpD on Wobbuffet over your current spread. The spread guarantees you will live a Knock Off from LO Adamant Bisharp, while the rest of the EVs are dumped into Special Defense, still allowing him to take special hits rather comfortably.

Hey thanks for the rate fren:] I haven't gotten an opprotunity to try out scizor in place of lando, but I'll get onto it soon. The one thing that concerns me about that change is that it will make me rather weak to mega Lopunny, and it may put even more pressure on Wobbuffet to deal with it. As for the Wobbuffet change, those Evs sound good fren:]

EDIT: actually that scizor makes heatran kinda annoying, but I still need to test it a bit more

The only thing that immediately stands out is your ev spread, I would either take 8 evs out of hp and put 4 into speed and 4 into spdf so as to outspeed Mega alakazam or if your spread is purely designed to outpace jolly Gyarados then use these
EVs: 144 HP / 216 Atk / 4 SpD / 144 Spe

as Jolly Mega-Gyarados only really cares about outpacing Lopunny-Mega and Manetric-Mega so this creeps that spread and allows you to maximise bulk
