The Forty Fraylords

Thank you very much folks! I don't know if I have the time to respond to each comment individually, but I have ready every one and I'm positively tickled!

Some people have commented on the time consumed on this project. The whole thing included first translating each battle video of each battle into paper in a blank book (this occured right after each battle, and was the only step that occured across the whole of the 2-3 months of this story), then turning it into typed text in PMs to myself. I then wrote commentary in another notebook for each space in between turns, and then spent some time over this past weekend formatting those PMs and rewriting/editing the commentary as I put it in.

It took about ~20 hours total. I don't cite this number to brag nor to proffer evidence that I am veritably insane, but rather as a reference point for the future.

A couple folks have pointed out the succintness of some of the comments, and I think they're absolutely right. Part of the reason for that is that it's difficult to juggle all the content of 5 battles and I didn't want to recycle the humor I had used in previous paragraphs/stories, and I figured it was better to not say much than to say what I had already said. I understand how this can sort of negotiate the quality of a warstory, and if I did it over again I'd have taken more time sorting things out, but I wanted to get this done early so that people would have "a feel" for how people might think in VGC 2012.

@verbatim: I actually did not do this for that reason. I had a frame of what this warstory was going to look like before any of the battles occured (Five teams and five foes), so I had planned this ahead of time. However, that's a good point (Though I certainly have nothing against Amon Amarth).

Thanks again everyone. Don't worry; I won't follow the trend and do 7 warstories next time :D. If I do another story, it would probably be just one good battle. I hope this has been constructive and I'd love to see y'all at the coming VGCs!

This was really fun to read! Very well formatted and appropriately commented on, and each battle was unique for several reasons. I wouldn't suggest doing a 5-in-1 as your next warstory either, but I am looking forward to more!

I really enjoyed these! The overall format was very good, and I liked the volume of the content (particularly because the content was good).

I really enjoyed the content as well as the battles. Its always refreshing to read a doubles warstory and your commentary made it all the better. One of the best warstories I have ever read. If I had one improvement to make it would be changing the foramt so the picturees and percentages are after the turn ends. This is because the log can be hard to follow at times and it gives the reader a reference point when processing a strategy. That may just be my personal preference though :). I thank you for contributing such a great warstory.

okay, so i'm NOT the only one who uses Bug Bite on Scizor... good battles, but i did notice some turns where it was kind of obvious what the opponent was going to do (usually whenever they'd Protect to avoid getting KO'd). all in all, i'd say 8/10
