Welcome to Smogon! Take a moment to read the Introduction to Smogon for a run-down on everything Smogon, and make sure you take some time to read the global rules.
Brandon recalled Gatorstrike, thankful for his efforts. Then he looked back to the battlefield. "Scorchstrike, let's go!" The Charizard returned to the field, and Brandon wasted no time giving his orders. "Alright, start with a Flamethrower, then follow up with a Flare Blitz! Finish off with another Flamethrower! If he uses an evasive Agility, then use a Heat Wave to catch him and push your actions back!"
Summary: Flamethrower -> Flare Blitz -> Flamethrower If he uses evasive Agility use Heat Wave and push actions back
Arena: Contact moves cost 1 more energy, +10% Acc on moves.
BEGIN ROUND SEVEN
It seems that Scorchstrike is back for round two! He releases a thin jet of flames, but they are rendered useless by Metagross' protective barrier and fall as mere embers to the floor, which seems to start melting the arena floor again! Scorchstrike is unrelenting, using his natural weight to slam into the Metagross after wreathing himself in hot flames. The Metagross charges his fist with electricity before punching Scorchstrike, dealing more damage on top of the recoil. Scorchstrike goes back to ranged attacking and fires off another flamethrower, but once again, his attack is foiled by the Metagross' protection. The ground becomes even more slippery, though, and it shows no sign of refreezing just yet!

BEGIN ROUND EIGHT
The Tyranitar begins, swinging his massive tail around and slamming into Tuskstrike with an imbued elemental force of water. Tuskstrike takes significant damage from the attack but manages to retaliate, spraying lethal toxins over the Tyranitar, who quickly absorbs the poison into his bloodstream. Tuskstrike goes on the offensive, summoning an earthquake that rocks the entire platform. Some of the glacial pillars fall to the ground and break with a crash, making the ground even more slippery and precarious than it was before! Tyranitar picks up one of these pillars and smashes it over Tuskstrike, dealing an immense amount of damage and shattering the pillar; it appears as if crossing the distance to make a contact attack will require more effort than was previously required... Regardless, Tuskstrike continues his seismic assault, never causing the ground below them to cease shaking. More ice comes toppling down, shattering and making it easier to slip. The Tyranitar seems unaffected, though, as he picks up another one of the pillars and breaks it over Tuskstrike, albeit using much energy.
Suddenly, a Soul Fragment appears in front of each of the battlers, both of whom look bruised and battered...

Even though Raptorstrike was extremely low on HP, Brandon wanted to save him for later; he knew he could get a strong Close Combat off on Tyranitar before going down, and there was no point in wasting him here. He called him back, and replaced him with Tuskstrike, clearly exhausted but still ready to fight.
"Figured..." Brandon muttered to himself. Tuskstrike couldn't do damage to Metagross once it used Magnet Rise, but that didn't mean he wasn't going to try. "Alright Tuskstrike, start off with an Earthquake boosted by that Soul Fragment Raptorstrike passed to you, then follow up with a Bulldoze! Finish off with another Earthquake!
