Welcome to my team showcase of my team, the Green Dragons! It is based around
sweeping with my two Green Dragons, Shiny Dragonite and Shiny MegaZard X.

Teambuilding

charizard-mega-x.png
I began with my first dragon type, Mega Zard X.
dragonite.png

The idea of HO came to me when I added Dragonite.
staraptor.png

I knew I would need an extremely hard hitting mon to prep for a sweep
or clean up games so I opted for Staraptor.
thundurus-therian.png

I realized I was running all physical attackers so I added Thundurus-T.
Volt Absorb also helps cover up weaknesses.
bisharp.png
I needed a revenge killer and fairy counter so I went with Bisharp
because of the mind games that can be played with it.

This was a random choice, I went with this since I was still lacking special
attackers.

In-Depth

xfront.gif

Cherryzard (Charizard-Mega-X) @ Charizardite X

Ability: Tough Claws

Shiny: Yes

EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe

Adamant Nature

- Outrage

- Dragon Dance

- Roost

- Flare Blitz

This is my first sweeper. Argueably the best DD mon in the game, Zard X can hit like a truck with tough claws+base 130 attack. My moveset is pretty standard, although I chose Outrage over DClaw because the extra damage is really nice.

dnitef.gif

Dragonitite (Dragonite) @ Lum Berry

Ability: Multiscale

Shiny: Yes

EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe

Adamant Nature

- Dragon Dance

- Outrage

- Extreme Speed

- Ice Punch

This is my second sweeper. Multiscale allows Dragonite to get essentially a free DD, and so does Lum Berry. I have Outrage for damage, ESpeed for the priority, and I'm running ice punch over EQ because the rest of the team doesn't enjoy chomp and gliscor.

starf.gif

Suicidal Bird (Staraptor) @ Choice Band

Ability: Reckless

Shiny: Yes

EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe

Jolly Nature

- Brave Bird

- Double-Edge

- Close Combat

- U-turn

Quite the suicidal bird. This thing is literally a lawnmower on low gas, I like to call it. It'll clear a path until it is out of gas (or killed itself with recoil), then it allows my dragons to sweep. Since this is an all out attacking set I went for the most damage, with stab brave bird and double edge.

keldeo.gif

The Storm (Keldeo) @ Choice Specs

Ability: Justified

EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe

Timid Nature

- Scald

- Hydro Pump

- Secret Sword

- Icy Wind

This mon is rated as one of the best in OU, and for good reason. With great coverage and extremely high offensive stats, anything that takes a neutral hit is going to be hurting. I'm running the standard set as usual.

bisf.gif

Mind Games (Bisharp) @ Lum Berry

Ability: Inner Focus

Shiny: Yes

EVs: 248 HP / 252 Atk / 8 SpD

Adamant Nature

- Swords Dance

- Sucker Punch

- Knock Off

- Iron Head

Not much to say, Bisharp is very self-explanatory. Probably the best revenge killer in OU, with sucker punch hitting hard and iron head and knock off, you can play mind games with opponents to try to set up SD or knock off, or try to KO with SP.

thunf.gif

Thoron (Thundurus-Therian) @ Leftovers

Ability: Volt Absorb

Shiny: Yes

EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe

Timid Nature

- Nasty Plot

- Thunderbolt

- Focus Blast

- Hidden Power [Ice]

This is an amazing mon. It barely sees usage, but I feel like it should get more. The combo of a powerful movepool and great stats makes this a horrific sweeper if an NP is set up. It also gets free switch ins on predictable volt switchers like rotom-w.

Every and any fairy. These things completely wall my team. I want to replace Bisharp for a fairy counter, but what do I know, you guys can come up with some good ideas.

Replays-

These aren't serious battles, I was just playing with a friend but they were fun so I thought Id share.

Thanks for reading!

Mega Altaria & scarf Rotom-W do nicely against this team. In most cases, Thunderous-I is better because of the prankster and higher speed. It may have lower spA but when it comes down to doing 130% or 101% the extra power doesn't matter

I think your team would appreciate hazard removal because 4 of your mons are weak to it. Dragonite's niche is that it has extreme speed and multiscale. Charizard-X also doesn't appreciate coming in at 50%. I would take out Thundurus-T and Staraptor for Starmie and Jirachi. Jirachi is used as nice speed control vs. mons like M-Alakazam and M-Sceptile. It functions as a really good switchin to Dragon and Fairy. Starmie provides rapid spin which M-Charizard-X and Dragonite appreciate. Charizard should run Dragon Claw because it doesn't appreciate being locked into a move and Jolly to outspeed choice Excadrills and Landorus at +1 speed. Dragonite is walled by Heatran and your team really struggles vs it outside of Keldeo so swap it with Earthquake. Starmie helps Keldeo rid of Heatran's and Bulky grounds and is a good check to M-Venusaur.
