Upon being defeated, the Harvest King dismounts his steed and approaches you.
He briefly touches your forehead, and your vision fades as flashes of ancient memories-not yours-course through your eyes. Primitive humans, huddling together by a fire, sharing stories of the beings lurking in the dark, finding solace in the meager light brought by the fire. The vision changes; they are now offering tribute of wheat and grape to a statue, chanting as they start feasting merrily.
Another vision; of humans and Pokémon playing together at a festival as golden leaves fall, excitedly gathering around a big cauldron of candy brought forth by a man looking like Steve.
The last vision has two children passing by each other. The boy has a full bag of candy, while the girl's bag is almost empty. The girls seems to ask something, but the boy shakes his head.
He simply points to a few different candy stores and walks away. "The people in this town have been consumed by candy." a voice echoes in your head. "They have forgotten what it means for the harvest to be at its end. I came here tonight to remind them of the true nature of this event. Since you defeated me, this duty is now yours." The Harvest King comes into view back again as you stagger backwards. It walks back to its mount and they both start galloping away into the night. As you turn around, trying to make sense of this, two children with their bowls start approaching you.
