I've got a stallish team build recently. Its nothing too spectacular but it's winning me a fair share of games. So I was at the ladder today as usual, and got paired with a fellow named Big Bang Fart. I've had some bad luck the games before, as did he. It seemed all of this was channeled into this game.
First, the teams, in order of appearance.
Big Bang Fart's Team:
Kilvas's (Lou Cypher) Team:
I put all BBF's actions in RED
Rules: Ladder Match, Sleep Clause, Freeze Clause, OHKO Clause, Evasion Clause, Species Clause, Strict Damage Clause
Big Bang Fart sent out Deoxys-e (lvl 100 Deoxys-e).
Kilvas sent out Tentacruel (lvl 100 Tentacruel ?).
Deoxys-e is exerting its pressure!
Kilvas switched in Hippowdon (lvl 100 Hippowdon ?).
Hippowdon's Sand Stream whipped up a sandstorm!
A sandstorm brewed!
Deoxys-e used Taunt.
Hippowdon fell for the taunt!
---
Given the fact that I myself run Deoxys-E, and I know starters tend to run Taunt, I didn’t like the odds of letting Tentacruel fall under the taunt. So I switched to Hippowdon, intent to at least quake it, seeing as how my other members wouldn’t like Taunt too much either.
---
Deoxys-e used Ice Beam.
It's super effective!
Hippowdon lost 53% of its health.
Hippowdon was frozen solid!
Hippowdon is frozen solid!
The sandstorm rages.
Deoxys-e is buffetted by the sandstorm!
Deoxys-e lost 6% of its health.
Hippowdon's leftovers restored its health a little!
Hippowdon restored 6% of its health.
---
Interesting to note is that his Deoxys does not carry Leftovers. Anyway, this is where the hax starts rolling. Really, my Hippo is a bad luck magnet lately.
---
Kilvas switched in Deoxys-e (lvl 100 Deoxys-e).
Deoxys-e is exerting its pressure!
Deoxys-e used Rain Dance.
The sandstorm stopped.
Rain began to fall!
The rain continues to fall.
---
A Rain Dancer Deoxys? Well that’s one way to use him I suppose. My Deoxys is a bit different, as will be shown in the next turn.
---
Deoxys-e used Taunt.
Deoxys-e fell for the taunt!
Deoxys-e used Taunt.
Deoxys-e can't use Taunt after the taunt!
The rain continues to fall.
---
Just so you know, that is MY Deoxys doing the outspeeding here. I guess those few extra Speed EV’s paid off, they’ve been doing so all the time lately.
---
Big Bang Fart switched in Azumarill (lvl 100 Azumarill ?).
Deoxys-e used Spikes.
Spikes were scattered everywhere!
The rain continues to fall.
---
I know Azumarill is strong. However, I made a pretty big error right after this…
---
Deoxys-e used Spikes.
Spikes were scattered around the foe's team!
Azumarill used Waterfall.
Deoxys-e lost 100% of its health.
Kilvas's Deoxys-e fainted.
The rain continues to fall.
---
I thought I could go for just one more round of Spikes, forgetting to factor in Rain Dance. D’oh. I also figured he’d go for Aqua Jet, but yeah, should’ve known better.
---
Kilvas switched in Tentacruel (lvl 100 Tentacruel ?).
Tentacruel used Toxic Spikes.
Spikes were scattered everywhere!
Toxic Spikes were scattered around the foe's team!
Azumarill used Waterfall.
It's not very effective...
A critical hit!
Tentacruel lost 100% of its health.
Kilvas's Tentacruel fainted.
The rain continues to fall.
---
And here we see the hax continue. While Azumarill would’ve 2-shotted Tentacruel, getting a Knock Off in between and another layer of Toxic Spikes would’ve helped immensely.
---
Kilvas switched in Celebi (lvl 100 Celebi).
Big Bang Fart switched in Toxicroak (lvl 100 Toxicroak ?).
Toxicroak was hurt by Spikes!
Toxicroak lost 19% of its health.

Toxicroak soaked up rain!
Toxicroak restored 12% of its health.
Toxicroak's health was sapped by leech seed!
Toxicroak lost 12% of its health.
Celebi regained health!
---
Lots happening here. Okay, so my Toxic Spikes were pretty useless. Still, I know now what this Toxicroak is gonna do, so I seeded it for a start. I figure he’s going to Swords Dance. At this point I kind of curse myself for not carrying Psychic.
---
Toxicroak used Swords Dance.
Toxicroak's attack was sharply raised.
Celebi used Substitute.
Celebi lost 25% of its health.
Celebi made a substitute!
The rain continues to fall.
Toxicroak soaked up rain!
Toxicroak's health was sapped by leech seed!
Celebi's leftovers restored its health a little!
Celebi restored 6% of its health.
---
Just so you know that Celebi carries Lefties. Anyway, I figured I’d set up a sub, scouting him out. I guessed he’d go for Sucker Punch or something like that. This…is not so favorable.
---
Toxicroak used Stone Edge.
Toxicroak's attack missed!
Celebi used Baton Pass.
Kilvas switched in Hippowdon (lvl 100 Hippowdon ?).
Hippowdon's Sand Stream whipped up a sandstorm!
The rain stopped.
A sandstorm brewed!
Toxicroak's health was sapped by leech seed!
---
Lotsa Lefties/Leech/SS damage omitted here. Anyway, I figure Hippo can take some blows, whilst waiting to thaw. I do get a bit lucky with Stone Edge missing, so the Hax is coming my way now, I hope.
---
Toxicroak used Cross Chop.
The substitute took damage for Hippowdon!
Hippowdon's substitute faded!
Hippowdon is frozen solid!
The sandstorm rages.
---
Ofcourse, what was I thinking. No thawing for me, no sir.
---
Toxicroak used Cross Chop.
Hippowdon lost 63% of its health.
Toxicroak lost 10% of its health.
Hippowdon is frozen solid!

Hippowdon is frozen solid!
The sandstorm rages.
Toxicroak is buffetted by the sandstorm!
Toxicroak's health was sapped by leech seed!
Big Bang Fart's Toxicroak fainted.
---
Funny. Hippowdon killed Toxicroak by being frozen. That Chop miss saved him for now, which is favorable to me later in the game.
---
Big Bang Fart switched in Deoxys-e (lvl 100 Deoxys-e).
Deoxys-e is exerting its pressure!
Deoxys-e was hurt by Spikes!
Kilvas switched in Magnezone (lvl 100 Magnezone).

Magnezone fell for the taunt!
Magnezone used Thunderbolt.
A critical hit!
Deoxys-e lost 69% of its health.
Big Bang Fart's Deoxys-e fainted.

---
Big Bang Fart switched in Magnezone (lvl 100 Magnezone).
Magnezone was hurt by Spikes!
Magnezone used Thunderbolt.
It's not very effective...

---
Magnezone used Thunderbolt.
It's not very effective...
Magnezone lost 27% of its health.
Magnezone used Thunder.
It's not very effective...
Magnezone lost 43% of its health.
Magnezone is paralysed! It may be unable to move!
---
But I should’ve known better. Sure, Thunder has a high paralysis ratio, but its less as 50% still. Oh well, Maggy’s gonna die, but his Maggy will die too.
---
Magnezone used Thunder.
It's not very effective...
Magnezone lost 27% of its health.
Kilvas's Magnezone fainted.
---
So my Magnezone bites the dust. Nothing special.
---
Kilvas switched in Hippowdon (lvl 100 Hippowdon ?).
Hippowdon's Sand Stream whipped up a sandstorm!
The rain stopped.
A sandstorm brewed!
Magnezone used Hidden Power.
It's super effective!
Hippowdon lost 50% of its health.
Kilvas's Hippowdon fainted.
---
I don’t care for losing Hippo here. The sand is up, and as far as I’ve seen, all he has to deal rain dance so far is Deoxys, who has bitten the dust.

---
Garchomp used Earthquake.
It's super effective!
Magnezone lost 27% of its health.
Big Bang Fart's Magnezone fainted.

---
Kilvas: ....
Big Bang Fart: no this is not possible

Bronzong used Rain Dance.
The sandstorm stopped.

Celebi's substitute faded!

Big Bang Fart switched in Bronzong (lvl 100 Bronzong).
Celebi used Leech Seed.
Bronzong was seeded!
Bronzong used Explosion.
Celebi lost 98% of its health.

Yes, ladies and gentleman, he blew up for a moral draw, but he failed to kill Celebi. The odds of the kill were 75% in his favor. And he fails it.
Pros and Slops:
+ Fun with Hax
+ Hippo for killing Croak while doing nothing
+ Chomp for 1337 dodging skills
+ BBF for laughing about the hax as much as I did
