KNOCKED OUT
The field seems almost alive—tall, uncut grasses dance in the wind, while tree branches wave about. Bushes and flowers are abundant in the arena, releasing a delightful scent that makes most Pokemon want to stop what they are doing and bathe in the smell. You still can't find any water around here, but that's not much of a worry. The greenery is enough of a compensation.

  • Arena Type: Grassland
  • No water source. Only sun and rain weathers allowed.
  • One (1) stage evasion drop for Pokemon without a Grass typing that is maintained at the end of each round.

Ancient Tree

Exhausted from your battle efforts, you continue to plod on the path, wondering when this ordeal will end. Lost in your thoughts, you don't realize the huge shadow that you walk under; soon enough, however, you realize it and look up, gasping in awe. A magnificent tree lies before you, wider than three Snorlax lying side by side, and higher than the eye can see. Seeing a hole in the base of the tree, you crawl in excitedly, wondering what lies ahead. While you're still crawling within the tree, you encounter a fork—one that goes left, and one that goes right. Which way do you go?[/box]

Viper Pit

Marching through the grass at a fast pace, you find that the terrain goes up and down, with an incredibly powerful wind blasting through the air; then, you stumble upon something rather shocking. A ravine, seemingly carved into the ground by some deity, impedes your path. A large log bridges the gap, while vines coat the ravine sides. There seems to be a path veering down the ravine, indicating that there is a crossing further up as well. Of course, flying across the ravine is an option, although it might be risky. As far as you can tell, these are the only ways to cross this ravine; which will it be?[/box]

[box]Telling your team to wait, you clamber across the log. It's sturdy, but you fall under fire from rather venomous attacks down below; various projectiles including toxic materials and brightly-colored acid fly up and over. They miss you, but perhaps you ought to foster your team in larger chunks before they can fire even more at you. Unfortunately, despite the fact that the log is quite huge, it seems as if it still has a chance of breaking...[/box]

Then Fyros is the only Pokemon left to cross, and he does so successfully as well—if, of course, by successfully you mean "while getting tons of acid rained upon him." Maybe it would've been better for both of them to come across at once.[/box]

Rustling Grass

As you venture deeper into the meadow, you notice that the grasses become more and more unkempt, as if no gardener has wishes to enter this area. This is somewhat disconcerting, especially as the hue of the grasses turn from fresh greens to that of yellows and darker greens, like that of a savannah. As if to exacerbate your discomfort, you realize that some of the grasses tend to rustle about in contrasting motions to the wind, giving the impression that there are things hidden in there. You eventually reach an area of this grass where you see two patches of rustling grass—one to your left and one to your right. The one of the left seems to rustle with greater frequency but with smaller magnitude, but you never know...[/box]

Tall Grass

Unlike the Grass Flat, the grass here seems wild and untouched; however, the stalks are yellowed and the flowers wilted for some strange reason. As the grass nearly comes up to your shoulders, you tread cautiously—there's no point blundering in when you can't see too well in front of you. The closeness of the grass seems to favor Grass-type Pokemon as well as generally smaller Pokemon, though other ones seem to do fine here as well.

[box]Patience proves to be a hindrance rather than a virtue, as the rustling grows even louder and some Pokemon hop out, glaring at you viciously. All three of them seem to be of the same evolutionary family—green, with some yellow markings—although the center one seems to be larger and somewhat more protective. Suddenly, you realize what you're facing: two Snivy along with a Servine—not a monster, but rather monsters.

You note that the Servine seems oddly protective... you might be able to exploit this.[/box]

KNOCKED OUT

  • Arena Type: Grassland
  • No water source present.
  • One (1) stage evasion boost for Pokemon with a Size Class of one (1) that is maintained at the end of each round.
  • One (1) stage Speed boost for Pokemon with a Grass typing that is maintained at the end of each round.

[box]The little whirlwinds prove to be too much, and Fyros keels over. You run through the meadows as fast as your human legs will carry you as the three Pokemon stare you down fearlessly. I guess you'll have to come back again next time.[/box]
