Welcome to Smogon! Take a moment to read the Introduction to Smogon for a run-down on everything Smogon, and make sure you take some time to read the global rules.
The heat is stifling, but not to the level of being painful.. Yet. The sheer heat of the arena causes the environment to be as if the sun was shining brightly, even underground. Pokemon seem to exist within the lava and will erupt forth to assist your enemies through some mechanism you don't quite understand.
Arena Type: Cave
No water source present.
Weather: Stifling Heat—Unchangeable Sunny Day
Every five (5) rounds of combat, a Pokemon will burst forth from the lava to join the enemy team in battle.
Things aren't looking too well... those Heat Waves hurt a lot more than they should've.

NB: I hope you don't mind me not rolling for irrelevant Speed ties.
Things aren't going quite so well for you anymore—Oros sacrifices his last attack to set up a protective barrier, which Gigalith promptly pierces with a shower of rocks, killing the dragon as well. Then, right before you wipe Magmortar out, it releases a ridiculously hot wave of air that buffets your remaining two Pokemon. Smogon isn't looking so well...

Stortamus begins by bracing himself for everything that's to come this round. Well, almost everything. The Magmortar quickly covers Stortamus with a cloud of rather noxious fumes, inflicting it with one of the few things it's not quite prepared for: poison. The Camerupt substantially lowers its health with another quick blast of solar energy, and the poison does the rest of the work.
Terrified by these creatures, you climb back up the stairs, through the boulder maze (you hit your head quite a few times), and out the small hole, babbling all the while about horrible lava monsters that shoot fire at you. Oh dear.

As Gigalith throws up a protective barrier akin to the one that Bellistar embellishes on Smogon, Smogon attempts to steal some of Gigalith's soul. The attack bounces straight off the shield, exhausting Smogon until... well, he's exhausted. Bellistar takes a beating afterwards but still manages to paralyze the Gigalith. Issue orders, I guess.

Cheers Engineer. I had no chance of surviving when I come with nothing but Balls (The kind you use to catch something, before one gets any ideas). Oh well, At least I get to leave with an Onix...
Anyways, it was fun, thanks for reffing Engineer, & I'll be back for you one day, <snip>!

With two failed catches and a sudden appearance of an additional Pokemon, the situation seems extremely grim. Perhaps you'd want to reconsider your previous choice?

While Bellistar charges up a massive attack that wouldn't even work due to energy constraints, the Slugma shoots a brief ring of energy at him, as Gigalith shoots hunks and hunks of small boulders. This proves too much for Bellistar to handle, as she collapses to the ground.
Like IAR, you ignore the Nanab Berry lying on the ground, stuff the Pokeballs into your backpack, and sprint back out of the caldera as fast as your human legs can carry you. You too babble about the terrors in the caldera, not knowing that you haven't experienced the worst of it yet...

This ends the first run of Black Sulfur Caldera. Comments are now welcome.
Cheers.
EDIT: Upon further review, I realized that I made rather large reffing mistakes that the general populace won't be able to detect. Don't use this TLR as a guide for the Guardian fight, folks!
Bad luck guys, but js this looked like a great run. It was incredible to see how outmatched you both were considering your Pokes. Props to all of you, a fun one to watch.
