Project The Lunatics' Workshop

Hey Phyn , remember than one time you said that "Ramphardos is like a mini Zapdos"?
Well... I hope you like this one..
Then how about we make Zapdos into a mini Ramphardos instead? (No, sadly Zapdos does not lock physical Rock type moves).

I think the set speaks for itself, you go in, and headbutt your way in...
I have no calcs, no replays, and no team build with it so... Good luck to whoever wants to build this masterpiece.

Requesting Mega Gard. Been a fan of this line for ages and looking for a better take on building around it. Also am considering taunt instead of calm mind just to avoid status/hazard from a fair amount of the meta mon.

gard is actually such a powerful breaker, i thought it was just worse lele but it 2HKOes literally EVERYTHING and its so crazy
rbolt + lando is really fun
dengo lures darks shifu lures pex and rbolt
ferro somewhat helps with ghosts without becoming too ground weak
all my replays are from an old version of the team, but i ended up optimising it over and over until i got sick and tired...

and this isnt even all some of them i deleted. remember not to overoptimise guys it doesnt always really improve your team
still kinda dengo weak maybe replace own dengo with kgb idk
but. BUT!!! on a much brighter note mgarde ended up being a lot more fun that i ever would have thought. HAVE FUN!!!

Requesting a team

:melmetal:or :ursaluna:(dynamic punch)+ :blunder-policy: + :slowking-galar: (trickroom)

:melmetal: or :ursaluna: suffers extremely from its speed or its lack there of it. Therefore using the combination of dynamic punch + :blunder-policy: , :melmetal: or :ursaluna: can either confuse the opposing pokemon or DOUBLE its speed.

With the help of :slowking-galar:(trickroom) :melmetal: or :ursaluna: can preserve its :blunder-policy:. In trickroom :slowking-galar: + :melmetal: or :ursaluna: can become offensive threats, while outside trickroom :slowking-galar: can be a slow pivot and a future sight setter. While :melmetal: or :ursaluna: can be a speed control using :blunder-policy:

I think the team should be a balance or bo to take advantage of :slowking-galar: and :melmetal: or :ursaluna: as they can output a decent amount of damage while being bulky.

Sneakpeak at next post :iron valiant::psychium z:
:melmetal: :heatran: :ogerpon-wellspring: :iron-valiant: :landorus-therian: :tapu-koko: Blunder Policy Melmetal Offense

Blunder Policy Melmetal is stupid strategy BUT at the end of the day, a Melmetal is a Melmetal so it's not like it can't do anything; it notably helps versus Dragon Dance Dragapult and Tapu Lele which the team likes even if it has minimal bulk. I chose Earthquake + Ice Punch because it does very little damage to Moltres with Thunder Punch which isn't worth insta-losing to Heatran or other Melmetal in my opinion.

Heatran is able to easily come into opposing Heatran, Mega Charizard Y, Moltres and Volcarona for the team while helping break through Ferrothorn and opposing Melmetal for the team. It also sets up Stealth Rock which is neat and can bait in Ground-types like Garchomp with HP Ice.

Ogerpon-W beats Rain because I hate Rain and I hate Barraskewda and Mega Swampert. It also is a good pivot that beats Moltres for Melmetal, with Encore to annoy a lot of things like Dragon Dance Dragapult and Substitute Serperior.

Iron Valiant destroys most Dragon-types while not folding to Steel-types more than Melmetal. I chose Destiny Bond over Encore because I guarantee you there's a threat this whole team folds to and having a safety net to trade with it is worth it - also I already have Ogerpon-W for Encore I don't need it.

Landorus-T is the main Defog mon, yes I know Defog Landorus-T is kinda mid but it's whatever, and it helps pivot. Not much to talk about it's just a glue mon I guess.

Choice Specs Tapu Koko is a goated wallbreaker with all these Anti-Ground options like Ice Punch Melmetal, HP Ice Heatran and the whole Ogerpon-W; helps break through Moltres even more while assisting Iron Valiant with E-Terrain.

Slither Wing @ Choice Band
Ability: Protosynthesis
Tera Type: Fire
EVs: 156 HP / 252 Atk / 16 Def / 84 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Close Combat
- U-turn
- First Impression
- Flare Blitz
This is the "I hate Kingambit" build of Slither Wing. It's made to outspeed and KO with either CC or FB it also lives fallen: 5 +2 sucker punch which makes it the perfect counter. Of course this doesn't only delete kingambit, it also checks most steel, normal, psychic, and dark types as it should live any one hit and either KO back with First Imp. or do enough damage for something else to revenge KO. This could be used on HO or just as a mon to beat Kingambit on almost any team.

Kokoro (Gourgeist) @ Ghostium Z

In the Tera Metagame, I achieved great success with Gourgeist. This guy was a funny niche sweeper in Sticky Web HO team that can spinblock and punish switch-in Defogger by Trick-or-Treat or Explosion. Nowadays, the presence of Kingambit, Gholdengo…. kinda harm it significantly. Is there any rooms for its niche right now ? Hope you guys could make a funny team with it. ❤️

Ting-Lu @ Leftovers

Tera Type: Dark
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD
Careful Nature
- Sand Tomb
- Ruination

I'd like to see this trapper ting-lu set work somehow
Somehow indeed... because this set is stupid as fuck:

:ting-lu: :tapu-koko: :dragapult: :hawlucha: :cinderace: :scizor-mega: Trapper Ting Lu + Hawlucha Offense

:ting-lu: Basically the set you gave, but with more Speed investment to notably let it outspeed Kingambit. This also lets it outspeed potential trapping victims like Ferrothorn, Clodsire, opposing Ting Lu and Toxapex; should be noted that it isn't guaranteed to beat any of these, but wearing them down is huge for our teammates. Ting Lu can be useful defensively, like it should be, too, but not always because we have much less bulk investment.

:tapu-koko: Now, a Pokemon that LOVES the first three getting trapped is Tapu Koko, who helps pivot Ting Lu in as well as supporting the rest of the offense structure, while also handling Flying-types like Tornadus-T and Zapdos for the team. Electrium Z helps to nuke neutral targets such as Mega Diancie or Terapagos, the latter who is a bit annoying for the team.

:dragapult: Simple utility set, helps pivot, helps versus Bulk Up Great Tusk and Zamazenta, appreciates Ting Lu trapping and removing Toxapex as well. Synergises nicely with Tapu Koko also.

:hawlucha: Likes removal of Toxapex from Ting Lu, while being the main setup sweeper of the team, helping deal with opposing HO structures more reliably.

:cinderace: Appreciates Ting Lu trapping opposing Ground-types like Clodsire. You've probably noticed Smack Down and that's because this team is annoyed a lot by Fire-types such as Moltres, even with Tapu Koko running around, so Smack Down Cinderace with Libero is a good bait into that as well as Volcarona and Mega Charizard Y.

:scizor-mega: Mostly helps the team not get immediately shafted by Iron Valiant or Tapu Lele while also being another pivot that can help Ting Lu or Hawlucha get it more safely; synergises pretty nicely with Tapu Koko and Dragapult anyways so this isn't too bad even if its kinda filler.

Aggron @ Aggronite
Ability:Sturdy
EVs:252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD
Impish Nature
-Avalanch
-Toxic
-Heavy Slam
-Earthquake

Mega Aggron has one of the best bulks, having great psysical defence, good special defence after investment,ok hp and a good defencive type of steel after mega.Mega aggron,in my opinion,is crazy paired with a wall setter. My favorite wall setter to pair with Meg aggron is Grimmsnarl.I use avalanch but you can very well switch it with stealth rocks.Mega Aggron is used best in my opinion to tank the damage and deal damage over time with toxic and heavy slam, earthquake being used to remove the scary stuff like electric and fire types.
I changed the set out quite considerably since your idea of slowly wearing down foes with toxic just... didn't seem to be working for me. Granted, I didn't try screens, but mAggron having no reliable healing outside of mola is just not very long-term to me. I changed it to out to an offensive tank and it does REALLY well, just lead on everything pretend ur gonna rocks and BOOM easy chip damage or a free iron defense on literally ANYTHING. And the stuff that stay in to deal damage are usually the stuff that you can OHKO like moltres fightz lele ival yap yap so at full this guy forces out so much stuff for free iron defense and trades sooo easily its just unbelievable. checks heatran cos it lives magma and +2 bpress ohkoes, deletes ferro cos they for some reason always stay in (why?), I could go on and on im pretty sure this guy just trades into anything. 10/10 pick

This team went through a rough period of me fumbling around to figure out how to use it though, but one day as I was going to sleep inspiration struck and I put nasty plot sinistcha and hippo and it just got better and better from there ENOUGH TALK HERE TEAM
:aggron-mega::sinistcha::hippowdon::zamazenta::rotom-wash::tapu-lele:
:aggron-mega:
The guy you all came to see. I use this guy very offensively, just facetank a hit when you know you can kill back. Initially the idea was to save this guy for later and then IDpress the shit outta everyone, which was also why there was pursuit kgb, but i just... didnt have the patience LOL and instead id rather go ham with the offense and leave the cleanup to everyone else. Coverage explains itself when you load up a game and see moltres on their team. (he is getting traded for like a PSA 7 charizard ex)
:sinistcha:
This guy straight up just stole the spotlight. Almost all the replays are just THIS GUY 1v6ing the entire meta not named gholdengo and dragapult. I took inspiration from my favourite bulky NP ghold and invented bulky NP sinis and its so broken idek why ive never seen this before. Initially this was just supposed to be a clever switchin to tusk and a funny kgb counter (unless its defiant) but it does so, so much more.
:hippowdon:
Special wall. Spreads toxic when i need it to. Sets rocks. Yard hard counter. love this guy
:zamazenta:
Speed control + also wallbreaks, maggron has a habit of killing its main targets so maybe this should be swapped out idk it works for me. Helps vs HO when things go sideways and is a massive help into hstack also.
:rotom-wash:
Another guy that does a lot more work than I was expecting. Just wanted another physical tank that can clear and pivot but it also does a lot more than it should like burning so much stuff that like to stay in (lookin at you kgb) and pivoting is so vital for aggron.
:tapu-lele:
This team used to get 6-0d by Wonderful Frog so Sami had me put this on. Does what it needs to, kills stuff that I have trouble with, makes my life easier because its a scarf clicker. Really good mon.

Replays: (do note that the KGB version of the team gets beat by a lot of stuff that lele now fixes)

I was actually so ready to give up on this mon especially since my personal life was kinda up n down at the time but hoooly the latest version of the team is SO FUN i hope you enjoy it too

IT HAS BEEN ANOTHER WEEK

:ferrothorn:
Ability: Iron Barbs
- Curse
- Body Press
- Gyro Ball

so, curse decreases speed and increases phy def and atk. This means after a curse, ferrothorn will get boosted gyro balls, as well as even more powerfull body press's

+1 0 Atk Ferrothorn Gyro Ball (150 BP) vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Tapu Lele: 582-686 (207.1 - 244.1%) -- guaranteed OHKO

+1 0 Atk Ferrothorn Gyro Ball (150 BP) vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Great Tusk: 181-214 (48.7 - 57.6%) -- 95.3% chance to 2HKO

+1 0 Atk Ferrothorn Gyro Ball (150 BP) vs. 56 HP / 0 Def Kyurem: 504-594 (124.4 - 146.6%) -- guaranteed OHKO

+1 56+ Def Ferrothorn Body Press vs. 248 HP / 56+ Def Ferrothorn: 172-204 (49 - 58.1%) -- 59% chance to 2HKO after Leftovers recovery

This ferro can p much kill alot of offense mons that cant hit it fr supereffective, however it also only has leftovers and leech seed for healing. Leech seed would take up ferrothorn's last move slot. So a substitute for that can be alomomola(suggestion)

大家春节快乐!Here's our progress update:

  • The post below the OP now lists any major updates or changes made to this project.
  • There is now an "In Progress" section to the OP; this will not necessarily be regularly updated, but you can check it out before asking about progress.
  • As always, we are still looking for new, active builders! We aren't very strict on how good you have to be or anything, just have some motivation to build/post regularly so we don't dwindle all the time (kind of like right now... but anyways)
  • :manectric-mega: is done! At least almost... Flames Of Elixir says he will post as soon as he has enough replays so please spam him with challs on PS so he will hurry up lol
  • :zapdos: is likely to be rejected because no one has attempted it yet but still has hope because no one has attempted it yet
  • :ferrothorn: is likely to be rejected because i tried it and it sucks
  • :meowscarada::suicune::altaria-mega::slither-wing::tinkaton: are all underway and may see posts soon!
Thank you all for your support so far and happy lunar new year!!

Rock slide is better than stone edge imo as you still get the KOs on Molt zard and Volc without having the crappy Acc and it 2HKO Zapdos just like SEdge.

OK then, it is time to cook.

Boltbeam Tusk
Great Tusk @ Booster Energy
Ability: Protosynthesis
Tera Type: Ground
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Supercell Slam
- Ice Spinner
- Headlong Rush
- Bulk Up

Now booster Tusk isn't anything new, but I decided to give it a little twist by giving it the BoltBeam coverage alongside Headlong Rush. You may also noticed the lack of Rapid Spin on the set, but that is what the speeds evs are for alongside Booster Energy. This version of Great Tusk is meant to be used on Hyper Offensive teams, commiting to sweep as a aggresive mon that can hit nearly everything for at least neutral damage. I hope you guys enjoy building, I have plans for later post for yall to enjoy.
Apologies for the long wait, some stuff came up, but here's BoltBeam Tusk!

:great-tusk: :glimmora: :gholdengo: :tornadus-therian: :iron-valiant: :weavile: BoltBeam Tusk HO

Great Tusk losing Rapid Spin for its coverage sucks, and I knew from the start this belongs on HO because... well you told me so. This means a hazard lead that could also remove hazards was a big deal, and while Mega Diancie is good, it's a bit boring and easy to exploit by Pokemon like Mega Scizor, which is no good. That's why I opted for Glimmora instead, who can remove hazards with Mortal Spin while still threatening foes with Power Gem and poisoning. I gave it Mud Shot as well to prevent us from losing 1v1 against Mega Diancie, which is pretty valuable, but Earth Power or Energy Ball also works.

Obviously a staple on hazardstack HO would be Air Balloon Gholdengo, who helps us not get overwhelmed by Scarf Tapu Lele and Booster Iron Valiant while also being just a good offensive presence with its coverage and good MU into Stall. Tornadus-T is also a pretty potent threat on these hyper offense structures, combining well with Gholdengo to overwhelm checks such as Kingambit or Mega Tyranitar, while those 2 also lose to Great Tusk, while being a fast Taunt user which is pretty valuable to annoy BO builds.

Iron Valiant's mixed set works nicely here, synergising with Gholdengo to threaten Dark-types like Hisuian Samurott, while having Encore to disrupt setup attempts from foes such as Volcarona. It has Knock Off to ensure Glimmora's hazards have an impact on Flying-types or Pokemon like Toxapex, while the Fighting-Spam duo with Great Tusk is good at breaking through common defensive pieces such as Landorus-T. I originally had Destiny Bond instead, because I felt like the opposing HO mirror was not that good, but Encore is more useful 99% of the time. Finally, Weavile is just a nice fit here with STAB Knock Off and Triple Axel as well as the ability to bait in Kingambit via Low Kick for Gholdengo and Tornadus-T, it just works. You could go Ogerpon-W for a better Rain MU, but Glimmora already annoys the hell out of that with Toxic Spikes.

Is something like this viable, and possible for someone to build with? You can change the item, EVs, nature, Tera (if you build it in SV), and moves except for Upper Hand (unless it's just completely unviable) if you want to.

It's meant to be a set-up sweeper so hazards would be extremely useful, and I think having Protect would be useful to scout for Priority moves, although I don't think it's necessary. Knock Off is so that you aren't walled by Flash Fire Ceruledge.

Z parting shot to fully heal whatever mon you parting shot into, cool tech to help out stuff like melm or something without reliable recovery, or to give some sort of breaker/sweeper a second chance to break stuff/sweep after it's already potentially worn down its check(s). Benefit of using it over hwish is that the user obviously doesn't have to die and you get your mon in on a -1 guy.

Hi guys, TLW is gonna close submissions since we've been making very little progress for a long time. Thanks yall for your continued support thus far, we hope to see you guys back with more subs when we reopen, but in the meantime we want to try to put out teams and finish our tremendous backlog, we seek your understanding.
:amoonguss: is almost done, :altaria-mega: is done just needs its post, rest have all been dropped for one reason or another and nothing else is really in progress. This is the main reason we are closing for now, we just kinda lost steam as builders, really sorry about that. Really goes to show how boppy was actually carrying our motivation (falloff happened immediately after he left) so if any of you would like to step up and help us out do reach out! New talent really seems to get us going again :D
To the builders, thanks to all your hard work so far, heres hoping that we can open again soon

same here, once in a blue moon I come up with quite the wild idea that just so happens to work, so I'm willing to help

Basic premise is, you use cp to get spd and def boost while ur opps cant kill u because unnaware blocks boost. So you just spam cp while they cant do anything because their setup is blocked by unnaware. Flame orb to block toxic which is this set's main weakness

And since I'm posting, I'm terribly sorry to update that we have made flat zero progress as builders since the last update. At this rate this project may just sink, and I don't think I can save it this time.
