I have a very good argument for why it is town; I'm waiting for Texas to get awake and give me approval to quote logs from Discord from a little while ago when we were discussing ideals. It should be fine because it is well before the game started and he doesn't need to confirm them as true, but I want to be safe. The paraphrase version is he said scum fruit vendors are moronic and shouldn't exist; if he ever made a setup they'd have to be town.
 
Fruit Vendor

Targets 1 player at night - if not interfered with, at day start that person will be informed they received a fruit. Trackable and Watchable. Fruit does nothing. It is slightly more common you can't give a fruit and perform a night action, but not even close to a hard rule.

(a night action as in the factional kill. so mafia fruit vendor can sometimes not also do an action even if otherwise allowed)

it is essentially a named townie. does nothing else without mod meta. :)
 
(fruit vendor itself may not be a role that's like, a big deal to have claimed but having the fv claim reduces the pool of "could be a cop/doc etc" for scum to hunt in and they can ignore that person for pr hunting purposes. thots?)
 
Please trust me. I have a very good reason for why I want the claim now, powerlynch me if it isn't 100% undebatebly good. This isn't some retard saying "LoL I have a conftown claim - what okay i need to claim? I'm bg u idiots get off". I have a drift written in another tab, and it is partly due to what I am informed of. I'm going to repeat myself: powerlynch me if it is not unequivocally good reasoning. I'll give you a hint: it involves another role, and it does not require a person claiming.

Knights, your post just furthers my point. If I needed the Fruit Vendor for some nefarious reason I literally could have waited for D2 and found it out easily. Or, I could have asked them to target me tonight (still better than them not claiming at all, but only barely). If I'm scum, I'm trading myself for a Fruit Vendor claim. Shrinking the good PR pool by 1. Take that trade. It's a good trade. I'm not being stupid here.

Metal Sonic, you've seen me play. You know I'm not incompetent. Yeti, you too. This is like when I was Merlin and when I led official. Mechanics are my thing. This is not a gambit, if you are town this is 100% pro town and you need to support me.

There is NOTHING that will clear my teammates. I am going to clear the Fruit Vendor, the Ascetic, and then I'm going to do something else. This is a game within normal standards on ms; you are the literal only other person in this game who should know that there is 0 nefarious possibility to what I'm doing. Go look in my scum games, all of them. I have never done any mechanics shit like this, not once.
 
I don’t engage with scumreads after I’ve lock scumed them simply because of the fact that good scum players can focus on pocketing me to reverse the read, it’s optimal play

I consider you a good scum player

Therefore I don’t trust a word you say until I have strong evidence to townread you on my own terms

I suggest everyone else do the same
 
I am asking a FRUIT VENDOR to claim. A FRUIT VENDOR. Not a 1 shot doc, or some other weak pr, a fucking Fruit Vendor. The scum would very likely find out who the Fruit Vendor is within a couple days anyways by virtue of them randing a scum with fruit or someone claiming it or them having to claim. You know my ego. If you, Metal Sonic, think I would ever try to do a play dumb gambit like this to get a Fruit Vendor to claim... fuck man think of the risk vs reward. I'm actually pretty insulted you won't hear me out on this, I offered my lynch up on a platter if you cooperated with something very small.
