Feel fine sheeping others on Paperblade's meta; if he has that much difference between his town and scum games then meta is a pretty powerful tool to read these type of folks. He's been posting fairly reasonably thus far but inclined to give him a pass for today until proven otherwise (plus, I don't really have a basis on what to compare him to since I have never played with him)

Is there a reason why you put Asek in on the "people i'm not lynching today" and "people i'm less sure of"?
 
I don't really agree with Empoof/Twin page 27 on the reasons cited for their tr/sr on Knights

Empoof quotes Knights explicitly stating that he is trying to put himself in Yeti's scum mindset, I see this more as a statement of intent than an underlying mindset in the bolded post

Twin jumps onto Knights saying his play is the same as when he was active lurking in animal maf as scum, now most of Knights posts this game have been pinging me as they often do, but I didn't see the trend of tuning in just to say "ok i'm here for a while if someone wants to ask me something" without doing anything proactive like he did in animal. Can't say that I see that blatant of a parallel here
 
I think this is twin's style to state a sr as "x is obv scum because of [exaggerated description of x's play]" but yeah he took a bit of a shortcut in his justification of his Knights sr in 690 I can see how he drew people's aggro

Why exactly is this is more suited to Asek's scumgame than towngame? Mass lurking the thread? How about actually looking into his posts? I know that Asek can be a solid scum player but I've liked his posts thus far, so your approach to this is.. kind of worrysome

OK so I'm feeling fairly caught up

Don't think I have much time to do a super duper comprehensive reads breakdown but I can give my one sentence thoughts on each?

TOWN

Prophylaxis

LEANING TOWN

Paperblade - he's been popping in with thoughts but most of these thoughts I've agreed with, and people have meta softcleared him. If we miss then I'll take another look/reread but have liked his presence thus far

Knights - reminds me more of his town game, has some townie phrasing used in his words. Honestly, this might be a townread I need to re-evaluate because OUTSIDE of that I haven't remembered much of what he has done, but I feel fairly confident reading Knights so this is a read that you will see me update

Josh - lots of townie frustration/genuine emotional reactions for me. if he's good at faking this, then well done, but i haven't met too many scum good at faking stuff like this. I think I did a good rundown of his mindset as scum last night

LightWolf - like his engagement/willingness to work with metal sonic and his reads list, doesn't feel as manufactured/fake like it did in the last game I played with him

Empoof - solving, has good thoughts

Metal Sonic - his persona seems really difficult to fake if he's scum and multiple people have backed this up. plus, again, like his engagement with lightwolf and his tunneling on josh (I mean, I think Josh is town, but hardtunneling someone like that seems kind of untenable if you are actually scum)

Asek - liked his posts while he's been around but 875 is a thing and I need to look at it again

NEUTRAL

Yeti - now, I haven't gone much into Yeti when I was reading, and I think she pointed this out. my reasoning here is because, she hasn't really done much that was noteworthy? someone characterized her play as like "offering up comments/thoughts on things from a neutral standpoint" and I think I agree with them. she went blobposting for the first half of day 1 and the second half.. she's been around, but I can't really recall what strong pushes she has made etc. Will need to ask her some questions to figure her out

Moody <- TTM - hasn't really posted much, people said that TTM was in his scum meta but I don't have that type of experience to make that judgement call

Walrein - similar boat to Yeti IMO where he's been offering thoughts but not been super duper townie. hasn't made much impact on the game IMO

FH - hasn't been around though I'm in the same game as him so yeah

LEANING SCUM

Da Letter El - made a bunch of dropin posts that felt.. pretty alien to thread behavior at large in the early game, then said that he'd kick it into high gear and then made a pretty bad reads list. then he votes walrein which seems like a pretty weak vote. then he says he doesn't have enthusiasm for mafia which... sure I guess, but that doesn't really excuse your play thus far.

so yeah, I feel pretty caught up in this game, feels good for day 1

will try to be on more at eod but will focus on [ongoing game] now
