Hello Smogon Community! This has been my most successful team in the current metagame and I would really appreciate some suggestions:
Medicham @ Expert Belt
Trait: Pure Power
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature
- Hi Jump Kick
- Ice Punch
- Zen Headbutt
- Fire Punch
Medicham is very underrated in my opinion as it can easily OHKO most everything that does not resist in not named Skarmory or Blissey. The only problem I've experienced with this set that it still is not fast enough at times. I'm thinking about switching to a scarf but I'm not sure how much the power drop will affect the set.
Ferrothorn @ Leftovers
Trait: Iron Barbs
EVs: 4 HP / 144 Def / 248 SAtk / 112 SDef
Calm Nature
- Giga Drain
- Protect
- Toxic
- Leech Seed
I originally put Ferrothorn in as a Rotom-W counter, but this has quickly become one of my all-time favorite sets. I know that this set is completely walled by opposing Ferrothorns and other Steel types, but once those are gone I've gotten some good late-game sweeps with it.
Gyarados @ Lum Berry
Trait: Moxie
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature
- Bounce
- Dragon Dance
- Waterfall
- Ice Fang
Fairly standard Gyarados set here, I have a Lum Berry here to stop potential counters trying to burn/toxic/paralyze before Gyarados gets a chance to set up
Sableye @ Lagging Tail
Trait: Prankster
EVs: 252 HP / 120 Def / 136 SDef
Calm Nature
- Will-O-Wisp
- Trick
- Foul Play
- Recover
Another personal favorite, I have Sableye here both as a Latios/Latias counter and to cripple any problem pokemon on the opponent's team. Foul Play gets around Sableye's low attack stats and can usually OHKO most psychic types after burn damage
Heatran @ Expert Belt
Trait: Flash Fire
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature
- Sunny Day
- Fire Blast
- SolarBeam
- Earth Power
Another standard set, Heatran is really only here to soak any Fire attacks that Ferrothorn might attract, to be honest this is the one slot that I'm not 100% confident in.
Landorus (M) @ Expert Belt
Trait: Sheer Force
EVs: 228 Atk / 28 SAtk / 252 Spd
Naive Nature
- Earth Power
- Focus Blast
- Psychic
- Rock Slide
Landorus is also only here to soak up attacks with its Electric and Ground immunities, but has a lot better coverage than Heatran. I'm considering switching to a full on Special set instead of a mixed set, but then I lose my only rock coverage.
