Hello! This is my first post on Smogon.com and I decided to post an rmt. This team has given me a fair amount of success, although I'm not ranked very high on the ladder. The team tries to focus on Zuruzukin's various qualities and make up for its weaknesses.
Nattorei @ leftovers
Ability: Iron Barbs
EVs: 252 hp 4 atk 252 def
Nature: Impish
- Stealth Rock
- Leech Seed
- Power Whip
- Protect
Nattorei is a very reliable lead with good bulk on both sides. Leech Seed, Protect, and Leftovers can make up to his lack of a reliable recovery move. I try hard to keep him alive after laying down stealth rock because he functions as a reliable wall and he is the only pokemon on the team that resists dragon type attacks.
Zuruzukin @ Leftovers
Ability: Shed Skin
EVs: 184 hp 228 atk 96 spdef
Nature: Adamant
- Rest
- Drain Punch
- Crunch
- Bulk Up
The star of the show. Zuruzukin survives some pretty hard hits and usually has a free turn to set up +1 +1. His two STAB attacks have near perfect coverage, with the bonus and +1, he gets quite a few unexpected OHKOs. At first, I thought that shedrest would be terrible, with only a 1/3 chance of working, but works pretty well. He's practically immune to status effects and bulky enough to get beat up in his sleep.
Gengar @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 hp 252 spatk 252 spe
Nature: Timid
- Pain Split
- Shadow Ball
- Substitute
- Focus Blast
Conveniently, Gengar and Zuruzukin resist all of each others weaknesses(bar flying, which doesn't exist anyways). Subsplit Gengar is my favorite of gengar's sets with the major flaw of focus blast's terrible accuracy.
Porygon2 @ Evolution Stone
Ability: Trace
EVs: 252 hp 4 spatk 252 spdef
Nature: Calm
- Tri Attack
- Thunderbolt
- Ice Beam
- Recover
Porygon2 is the special switch-in of the team. It takes tons of special attacks and does much more damage than chansey or blissey. It also sponges up the ghost attacks aimed at gengar.
Gliscor @ Toxic Orb
Ability: Poison Heal
EVs: 96 hp 160 atk 252 def
Nature: Impish
- Protect
- Earthquake
- Substitute
- Ice Fang
Gliscor is like a Breloom, but worse, more defensive, and helps handle that pesky Doryuuzu. Doryuuzu is most of the reason that Gliscor is on this team. Truthfully Gliscor does not really do anything other than stall the opponent until they become very annoyed.
Suicune @ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 4 hp 252 spatk 252 spe
Nature: Modest
- Ice Beam
- Hidden Power [electric]
- Surf
- Calm Mind
Suicune is one of the best bulky water pokemon in the game. Suicune is my best response to Heatran. Suicune offers helpful resistances to Gliscor's weaknesses.
That's my team. I would really like to know what you all think of it. I hope you enjoy it.
