"The Most" awards - Pokemon

This is a thread I came up with while I woke up this morning O . o

EDIT: Don't just said *insert pokemon name here* is better than *insert pokemon name here*, explain why? - Jumpman

Ask a question * This includes you the reader* of what is the most *annoying, common, never used, underated, w/e (your own choice of "what is")* pokemon.

Here's My question to start up the talk.

What is the most hated pokemon in the entire metagame? - I myself believe that title belongs to Bulkydos, it always manages to ruin stuff with taunt + dd. Edit: Because taunt ruins stall pokes in general, and laughes in the face of skarm/bliss. Then it gets off with free stat boosts, which in general is a major pain. That's why I believe it's the holder of "Most" Hated.

And now you can respond to what is your idea of the most hated pokemon. Or you can ask your own "The Most" question and get answers yourself from other people. <-- Make sure to add why?

personally I think bulkydos is becoming alot easier to handle, every team seems to pack a bulkydos counter nowdays. I think that title belongs to Breloom, what an annoying piece of shit.

@ Bulkydos. Yes, I did take this photo in real life. I lead with P2 for a reason, and I never ever had problems with Bulkydos.

Most hated? Hmmm. Blissey, by popular demand, regardless if it's easy to stop. :D To me at least.

Most underrated: Magmortar. Because people are not expecting it, and it is quite difficult to counter since it can damage pretty badly all of it's counters.
Most overrated: Electivire. It isn't as good as you may think. Every bulky ground walls it. Pure Physical ones don't even 2HKO Skarmory, Cresselia can just set up Calm Minds, most physical walls nullify (spelling?) it.
It can't take a hit, but that's normal being an electric type. Flamethrower is also not used at all. Unlike T-bolt on Magmortar

Most Hated: Substitute, Swords Dance Bright Powder Garchomp , Just because of how much hell it can give you even if you miss only once, miss twice and simply call it game over.

Most Annoying: Substitute, Leech Seed, Focus Punch, Spore Breloom This thing is just always a threat with this set, especially when you having no sleep absorber, and then even if you do you have to put up with Sub-seeding arguably the most annoying tactic in the game on par with Flinchhax.

Most Underated: Offensive Life Orbed Empoleon It's amazing the amount of damage this thing can to an unprepared team coupled with the ease of bringing it in thanks to the steel typing it can be an extremely viable threat.

Most Common: Blissey / Bulky Gyarados Topic is enough said, i can't go two games without seeing at least one of these pokemon.

Most Whatever: Scarfchomp This Garchomp Set is everywhere and isn't that hard to stop with adequate prediction.

And i'm not even bothering with Neverused.

i should technically close this thread as it is fast on the track of not having anything to do with actual competitive pokemon

so i am going to have to ask that, if you are going to weigh in in this thread, you give a concrete competitive reason why you hate it or you think it's the most hated. otherwise i kind of have to lock this thread, considering there can just be one-word responses to the original question

I see...the reason i posted the thread here was because it wasn't RMT or other subjects, just to raise questions. Where should I properly post the thread then Jumpman? just so i know?

Most Hated: Anything with a Substitute... and Blissey for being Blissey
Most Annoying: Blissey, the dumb bitch tries to T-Wave everything, and Breloom because of spore
Most Underated: Rain Dancing Kingdra... best Dragon in the game
Most Common: Blissey / Bulky Gyarados
Most Whatever: Scarf anything...

Most Hated: Has to be to the Pink Whore Blissey. She is a walking clitoris. Just for being there and walling special attacks.
Common: It is yet again, Blissey the swolen clitoris. This should be obvious as it was already calculated that Blissey was used the most.
Never Used: Unown. Get it?
Underrated: Snorlax, Curselax mainly. Yes, I'm not kidding. Everyone underestimates Curselax IMO, I've swept teams with it but people fear it's SDef isn't good enough to deal with a lot of special threats anymore.
Annoying: Hard one. Sceptile, Breloom, Cresselia all get my vote. Cresselia doesn't die unless your name is Tyranitar, Heracross etc. Subseeding is obviously very annoying, so Sceptile and Breloom are there for that reason.

This thread could have been awesome if you organised it properly and came up with quite a few catergories, along with a first post that looked neat and tidy. Coded voting template would've been nice too. Have a think about it, but everyone would need to edit their posts...

Edit: Sorry Jump, you hadn't posted when I started writing this.

I see...the reason i posted the thread here was because it wasn't RMT or other subjects, just to raise questions. Where should I properly post the thread then Jumpman? just so i know?

you posted it in the right forum, dont worry...it's really more a question of the people responding to this thread with literally a dozen words or less. that part isn't really your fault, but i think the thing about this forum is that people still do not quite understand that we are different from serebii and different from gamefaqs in that we specialize in competitive battle, first and foremost.

i mean, if i were you, i would have added a sentence in my original post to the effect of: "And don't just say 'x pokemon is most y', because that literally doesn't get us anywhere. Please give some insight as to why you chose the pokemon you did". but, again, that's not really your fault, it is more the shortfall of the members of this forum in general, forgetting what promotes good discussion is insightful responses to good questions (which can indeed include 'what is the most hated pokemon?' but should be understood to have an 'and why?' at the end, an 'and why' that the majority of us are forgetting

im updating the rules (again) to help cut back on this problem in the future, so we can (continue to) promote keen pokemon discussion, as is the aim of this forum and has been from the beginning

Most Hated: Blissey for being the whore she is
Best Def wall: Skarmory for its restances and defense and access to roost
Best Special wall: (insert big fat whore here)
Most Unpredictable: Salamence, it can DD be banded/speced or mixed enough said
Best Physical Attacker: heracross CB guts 120BP moves hurts alot of things
Best Special Attacker: PZ for its NP adability LO hyperbeam can OKHO the standard blissey
Best Wall Breaker: Im giving this one to traniboah. mixape is way to easy for me to take down
Most Laughable:
luvdisk need i say more?

most awesome NFE: porygon2, naturally. i love abusing trace so much it hurts. one of the best movepools this side of clefable, with access to almost everything it needs to ruin the bulky spreads that abound. my favorite time with this was sweeping a team after grabbing speed boost from yanmega, then boosting my special attack with charge beam. taking down a blissey with only special attacks made my day.

The only two I actually despise are SubBrightpowder chomp and Breloom. Both can eliminate their counters by themselves or a fellow teammate(chomp can use a magnezone to beat skarms that wall it, breloom can generally do it by itself)

Breloom basically looks for slow pokemon, and then owns you if you don't have a sleep absorber. It can even rip apart cress with leech seed.

SubBp chomp is disgusting, and is just retarded. If they get lucky and you don't have a bulky steel type, you are fucked.

Though everyone says Blissey is broken, she really isnt. She is what makes specsmence and togekiss not rule the metagame. She gets countered so easily...

Eh.
I always thought one annoying pokemon was Cradily in a Sandstorm with Rock Slide/Stockpile/Recover/Swords Dance. Doesn't hurt too much attacking wise, but it always annoys me.

Focus Punch/Substitute/Leech Seed/Spore Breloom is quite annoying too.

The only three pokes that seem to get me are:
Mamoswine because Ice Shard ruins my trademark Dragonite sweep. I normally hold off until late game or at least until I can completely scope out my opponents team but sometimes he has to come early.
Sceptile because subseeding sucks when you are slower.
Scarfchomp because its just plain annoying.

Most hated? SubbrightpowderChomp for breaking clauses and everyone being hunky-dory with it.

^ YES. ^

Most Overused - Blissey

(duh)

Best Special Wall - Blissey

(duh)

Best Physical Wall - Skarmory, though Hippowdon is close second.

Why? Skarmory usually gets by on its incredible typing. But hard hitters with neutral damage will tear holes in it. Also how many dragons have Fire Blast stuck on them? How many teams have mixed sweepers, mixed only so they can take out the metal bird? But Hippowdon can take neutral damage hits better then Skarm. If you mess up with Skarmory, you get a Fire Blast to the face and die. But you have more room with Hippowdon, who's able to take a special hit and live (mostly). Of course Skarmorys steel typing and ground immunity are what makes it the best wall. Not its stats (not entirely at least).

Best Mixed Wall - Cresselia

What? Are you surprised?

Most Hated - Brightpowder Garchomp.

Sand Veil sickens me as it is. Using Brightpowder makes you a terrible person.

Most Annoying - Breloom

The first time I fought one it surprised the hell out of me. I kept screwing up, not activating sleep clause and lost several pokes before I finally managed to take it down. Its not much of a threat if you have a good poke to take the Spore, but its an asshole...

Most Unexpected - Munchlax

I really can't see why anyone would use this. Its not like its a cute Poliwag, or giant Regigigas. A dumb looking... Fat bear?

Most Underestimated - Mawile / Regigigas

Mawile can take hits like a champ with Shuca Berry and intimidate. Not to mention it has a surprisingly good movepool with Emerald tutor punches as well as Sucker Punch. Oh, and it can Baton Pass.

Regigigas can launch volleys of Thunder Wave and Confuse Ray, and if by some miracle it doesn't die before it powers up it can massacure things with its amazing movepool. Its durability rivals that of Hippowdon, though not having recovery (Rest!?) hurts it. Well... it has Drain Punch...

Most Unpredictable - Salamence

Yeah... No one uses Specsmence anymore, but if you actually run into the 5% that do then you just lost a poke.

Best Physical Attacker - Garchomp

Great STAB, only resisted by Skarmory I believe. Stick Fire Blast and Swords Dance on it, and you have a team raper.

Best Special Attacker - Porygon Z

Its not a pokemon. Its a cannon!

Best Wall Breaker - Garchomp

Tyraniboah will give you warning of an attack as it uses substitute. But Garchomp will unleash its deadly rain of Meteors, Earthquakes and Fire as you struggle to bring in a counter.

Most Laughable - Palkia. It has a penis for a head.

Most overrated: Physical Electivire. It isn't as good as you may think.

Edited for accuracy IMO. Electivire seems to work best when it's playing chainchomp: carry HP grass/ice for grounds, Cross Chop/Focus Punch for Blissey and you're golden. Admittedly this makes it inferior to Magmortar for straight sweeping, but it has the benefit of an infinitely better trait and you're more likely to take out one of their key physical walls.

Most overused: Bliss-bliss

^_^

Most overated: Leckevire

All Vire sets, save for the SubPunch are ekk!

Most hated: Sub+DD+Leichi+Flail Gyarados

i'm cereal

Most annoying: Umm...Celebi

Celery...

Most unexpected: Lapras?

...

Most unpredictable: Gengar

Yes. Hands down.

Most underestimated: Spiritomb

PP stalls like a juggernaut.

Best physical wall: Swampert

*nods*

Best special wall: I dunno, maybe Bliss again?

.___________.

Best physical attacker: Slaking

I'll fckin' shoot you if you say no.

=)

Best special attacker: Heatran

Absolutely fabulous, darlin'..

Best wall breaker: Lol, maybe.....Houndoom or MixMence

Hard time deciding between the two, so I'll leave it at that.

Yes. So true.
