The Next Best Thing, LC Edition

Rowan has a pretty great set that may function as a Foongs lure. Since Foongus is only set to be more popular, it may very well be the Next Best Thing where Cottonee is involved.
 
boo836 cos he voted for me because its really inventive and a priority 80BP attack is pretty cool, even if Cottonee is kinda weak. It does take a bit of prediction though, maybe I'd put a supporting move over one of the other attacking moves.

Aaron's Aron's set I would use, but I wouldn't consider it very inventive - it's pretty much standard
Cutie Caitlyn's would be my second pick, priority tailwind is pretty cool.
 
Nightmare Vampire - using special attack moves but not completely forgotten about how useful Cottonee's ability is (adding Non-damaging moves). It really pushes Cottonee to its limits(which is good). Thus, presenting a good grasp on how much damage Cottonee can deal on most LC threats. Pretty good set. ^^

Porygon is known for its impressive bulk, even without eviolite, and as one of the better Misdreavus checks currently out there. It can run a variety of effective sets thanks to two great abilities in Download and Trace. It also has a decent third ability in Analytic, but gives up its ability to use moves from its level up pool in Tri-Attack and Recover by doing so. Can't wait to see what you guys come up with! This one has a lot of options to explore.

Although TR (Trick Room) is a gimmicky, albeit almost-horrible, idea in LC, I figured that this is a decent start to any LC TR team. It has the bulk to take stuff that isn't OHKO'd while also not being revenge killed by anything bar priority. It also really helps in setting it up for possible teammates via Eviolite coupled with its natural bulk or used as an OTR type of poke. The EV Spread hits 25/14/14 for Evio numbers plus odd number for HP. The last slot is up to what the team is weak to/if in need of utility whether it be Missy, Fighting- types, or Recover.

Download is a great ability for the OTR type of set, making this a bulky attacker who can dish it out as well. Trace adds to the utility of setting TR for the team. This guy is so cool in terms of what he has. I cannot wait to see what you guys come up with, :)

The goal of this set is simple: switch in on something that you scare off (I.E. Missy) and proceed to start attacking stuff with the move of your choice. Normal/Ghost/Psychic/Fighting has INSANE neutral coverage in LC, and with correct prediction, Porygon will be very likely to get a kill. Just look at this calc on Mienfoo.

240+ SpA Porygon Psychic vs. 0 HP / 196 SpD Eviolite Mienfoo: 12-16 (57.1 - 76.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Think you can safely switch in on that "Shadow Ball" now? The moveset is rather simple: Tri Attack is your main STAB move, sporting a decent Base Power and a really nice 20% chance to inflict a nasty status condition on the opponent. Shadow Ball is to smash those Ghosts that are immune to Tri Attack. And Psychic is to decimate Fighting types that think they can come in and wreck Porygon. HP Fighting is an instant "GG" to Pawniard. EDIT: Psychic removed, Porygon + Staying in on fighting types = bad. Trick is there as a nice little "now FUCK you" to a lot of mons, since the mons that hate Choice Scarf the most are the runs that run Eviolite, which will help Porygon's defenses if you're done wrecking everything.

Download has the power to boost Porygon's Special Attack to REALLY high levels. The EV spread is to crank out maximum power out of Porygon, while still guaranteeing a speed tie with 19 speed mons. 68 Defense allows it to take Physical attacks (Which are hella common) better.

Specs Porygon hits monstrously hard, reaching 42 Special Attack after Specs and a Download boost. Tri Attack is its main STAB, nailing anything that doesn't resist it, 2HKOing most of the tier who do not resist it, while Shadow Ball punishes Psychic and Ghost-types - OHKOing 36 HP / 0 SpD Misdreavus after a Download boost. Ice Beam and Thunderbolt are coverage options, both of which nail Fletchling. Trick is useful for depositing your Choice Specs on something that hates it, like Dwebble or Cottonee and receiving an Eviolite or Berry Juice in return, which can help its lower defenses. 236 Special Attack with a Modest Nature gives it maximum Special Attack, 196 Speed lets it outspeed some slower foes and 36 Def marginally helps its defenses.

I put Inkay in there 'cos according to the usage stats its one of the best Porygon counters. Tbh, you can see Fighting-types switching into Porygon from a mile off, only to get OHKOd (though Scraggy needs a tiny bit of prior damage). Also 2HKOs Ferroseed on the switch without HP Fire, which is pretty cool. 2HKOs primary special walls in Lickitung and opposing Porygon. Ice Beam can go last to hit Vullaby who otherwise walls the fuck out of you. Quiet can be used to reverse speed creep on Porygon, making sure you always go last, but Modest is okay too, it's not too important. Trick can go over Ice Beam to fuck with shit if you like, but coverage is always nice when you have no STAB.

reasons to use over download+specs: reliable, sometimes download doens't get the right boost (it'll get attack boost switching into misdreavus for example)...
yeah that's about it...

download is probably better...
