Hey everyone! This is the discussion thread for Smogon's 13th Official Ladder Tournament (OLT). This tour is one of my personal favorites on the site and I'm very excited to manage its discussion thread! OLT begins with the ladder phase, split into 4 cycles. The top 8 participants at the end of each cycle (determined by ELO) qualify for the Swiss phase, where the 32 qualifying players compete to enter the Playoffs phase, a single elimination bracket. The significantly increased amount of ladder activity in the upcoming weeks will bring fast-paced metagame development and new trends in the SV OU tier. This thread will be used to discuss and document these trends and will include replay analyses of interesting games, looks into cycle winners and their brings, and successful teams shared by qualifying players. I'll also be using this space to document the winners of each cycle and for updates on how the tour is going :)

For live updates on how the ladder phase is proceeding, check out the OLT room on Pokemon Showdown!

Visit the OLT subforum for more information on the tournament.

Throughout OLT XIII, figured I'll compile some of the teams that I've seen used by our fellow contenders on the higher ladder. S/O to Jordy, Finch, and EG Jhonx~ for the idea since I've seen their past contributions. I'll be sure to update this post throughout the 4 cycles of OLT. Good luck to all contenders.:blobwizard:

Here are like 600 teams from top ladder only from cycle 1. i only included teams where at least 70% of the teras + movesets + items were revealed in-game. ran them thru a very janky reverse ev calculator to fill out those unknowns using the replays (most are prob wrong). turned out a bit meh but enjoy

e. made ev calculator less shitty + included a row with only the revealed in game facts

A lot of Gambits forgoing Kowtow in favour of Low kick and Iron head both, that's an interesting development. I can't leave home with a Gambit that can't touch any of the birds but it has it's uses definitely

Cyclical, Gambit does the best job of the top 4 mons at checking Cress (besides like encore Dnite), more Gambit = better be able to beat their Gambit with your own

actually insane someone would just leak teams like this like, im trying to keep it a secret so i can ladder in peace by not revealing it and loading too many games with it so i wont get sniped now its all leaked. shameful.

Weird to build and hidereplay each game just for teams to get leaked publicly

Its not about screening 6, no one have problem with that and its an useful information to see ladder trendlines (like WildWave did is a cool thing, for instance).

Leakings sets and spread (even tho some are wrong calced hopefully) isnt rly a cool way to encourage building. I'm ngl if someone wants to post their team, feel free to post it, I personaly don't want people doing it for me
