The one who rages (inspired by a totw submission nickname) (Annihilape)

[SET]
Utility (Annihilape) @ Safety Goggles / Focus Sash
Ability: Defiant
Level: 50
Tera Type: Fire
EVs: 188 HP / 100 Atk / 220 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Close Combat
- Rage Fist
- Coaching / Taunt
- Final Gambit

[SET COMMENTS]
- This Annihilape set aims to disrupt opponents with Final Gambit or Taunt, while deterring Intimidate users due to its Defiant ability and strong attacks.
- Final Gambit allows Annihilape to take a 1:1 trade with Dragonite on turn 1, denying it the ability to set Tailwind or get out of control with Scale Shot speed boosts. It also allows it to OHKO bulky Ursaluna-Bloodmoon, which survive a neutral Close Combat. Taunt is often used with Safety Goggles, allowing Annihilape to completely ignore Amoonguss and shut it down with Taunt if necessary. This also works to prevent the redirection of Final Gambit or Taunt into something like a Trick Room setter.
- Both items allow for a versatile Annihilape with both supporting utility and offensive pressure, while being able to switch moves. Safety Goggles is more common on teams that lack counterplay against Amoonguss, while Focus Sash provides more all-around benefit, allowing Annihilape to survive an Acrobatics from Sneasler or an Expanding Force from Indeedee-M.
- Tera Fire allows Annihilape to have a much better matchup against Gholdengo and Ninetales-A, which can both hit it for a lot of damage with Shadow Ball/Make it Rain and Blizzard respectively, or, when partnered together, use Icy Wind + Shadow Ball to OHKO Annihilape without Tera Fire. It also allows Annihilape to stay on the field much more safely against Rillaboom.
- Annihilape has just enough HP investment to OHKO the common Leftovers Ursaluna-B with Final Gambit from full health, as well as Porygon2, Archaludon, and Dondozo (if the Dondozo is slightly chipped). Its Speed investment allows it to outspeed max Speed Jolly Rillaboom, as well as all Gholdengo, with the rest of the evs put into Attack.
- While this Annihilape set is more flexible than the Choice Scarf set due to being able to use its supporting moves without getting locked into those, it loses its advantage in some matchups due to being outsped by both Basculegion sets in rain, as well as Typhlosion-H and Dragapult. In return, it can improve its matchup against Amoonguss by using Safety Goggles, or against Sneasler with Focus Sash.

(Do the same thing again if there are multiple sets)

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]

Teambuilding
============
- Synergy: Broadly, describe what types of Pokémon, moves, or strategies work best with this set. If the set is offensive, what teammates can support it by providing speed control, redirection, or wallbreaking support? Are there any type synergies this Pokemon likes, or playstyles. If theres more than 2 sets, generally put specific partners in the set comments section, but you can also put it here but specify (Ex. For Choice Banded Dragonite its good on ___ teams, while Assault Vest sets are better with ___)
- Specific Partners: List specific Pokémon or archetypes that synergize well with this Pokémon, covering weaknesses or helping it accomplish its role more efficiently.
- Weakness Coverage: Identify the main weaknesses of the set and suggest partners that can mitigate these issues, like covering specific matchups or typing weaknesses.

Strategy Comments
============
- Main Role: Explain the Pokémon’s main role (sweeper, support, etc.) and how it achieves its function. Describe the situations where this Pokémon shines and how to get into those positions.
- Playstyle: Offer advice on how to use the Pokémon throughout the battle, such as whether it’s better early or late game, and how to adjust play style depending on matchups. Explain the differences in playstyle between sets if applicable.
- Counters & Checks: List the major threats or counters and suggest some ways to handle or mitigate these threats. Either its literal Pokemon counters, or playstyle stuff like switching out, using other team members to handle them, or waiting until the counter has been weakened.
