assuming 'unconventional webs' is mine. I'd like to request a bulky offense team built around:

rhydon.gif

Rhydon @ Eviolite
Ability: Lightning Rod
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Earthquake
- Rock Blast
- Megahorn

This shits on balance and other bulky o teams. I've tried to make my own team around it, but it failed hard, I'd like to see if a more experienced player could take this beastly motherfucker to greater heights. Pretty standard single-setup don coverage, smacks everything with the coverage. Jolly because fuck niggas creepin adamant, thinking your lanturns n shit can outpseed me. amazing natural bulk, monstrous three-hundred-fifty-something atk. In general just a mon to shit on slower teams. would prefer it to be built by hollywood or QueenOfLuvdiscs.

Small side note: still no blue named teams. ://///////////

lolbro, I went ahead and made the team for you. I ended up changing Megahorn on Rhydon to Stealth Rock because I didn't end up having it anywhere else when I was finished with the team and didn't really feel like adjusting it. Most of the Megahorn targets lose hard to at least one other member of the team, so I didn't feel too bad about cutting it.

I started out adding Scyther to the team to punish bulky Grass-types trying to beat Rhydon. Knowing I would have to have some kind of hazard support if I was going to use Scyther, I added on Jynx to beat on bulky Water-types and help out a bit against the bulky Fighting-types that can beat Rhydon. I still don't really like Hitmonchan, but I wanted Jynx to have a boyfriend. Also, I don't care for any of our Defoggers on offense and the rest of the spinners clashed with Rhydon. The Speed creeps the stuff that creeps base 70s (Magmortar, Skuntank) and runs enough HP for a Life Orb number. Cacturne offers Spikes support, another way to beat on bulky Water-types in case I want to keep Jynx's sash up while there are hazards, and beats Quagsire and other bulky Grounds. SD Samurott is a Fire resist with priority and gives a way to clean teams once you break a bit with Rhydon and Jynx.
Rhydon @ Eviolite
Ability: Lightning Rod
EVs: 248 Atk / 8 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- Rock Blast
- Swords Dance

Scyther @ Choice Band
Ability: Technician
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- U-turn
- Aerial Ace

EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Lovely Kiss
- Ice Beam
- Psyshock

Hitmonchan @ Life Orb
Ability: Iron Fist
EVs: 32 HP / 252 Atk / 8 SpD / 216 Spe
Adamant Nature

- Mach Punch

Cacturne @ Life Orb
Ability: Water Absorb
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe

Samurott @ Lum Berry
Ability: Torrent
EVs: 80 HP / 252 Atk / 176 Spe

Thank you Hollywood! n_n What do the speed evs on rotter hit?

Hi I'd like a lord Scraggy team, specially defensive BU would be the best, the playstyle doesn't matter but I imagine balance or semistall would work best.

Thank you Hollywood! n_n What do the speed evs on rotter hit?

Outspeed neutral pawniard and torterra and other necessary stuff, only thing you lose is the ability to speed tie, and instead you gain substantial advantage in bulk which is a reliable trait as opposed to max speed which has 50% chance of not being relevant

Grass Knot Liepard seems like a really cool set, baiting Rhydon and a bunch of other cool stuff. Would be fun to see one of you guys core it with something that takes advantage of it luring certain mons (Kanga, Tauros, Archeops, whatever) and build a team around that.

am i allowed to like request spam? I'm not in a mood to build right now, but I want some new teams, mostly around things I can't make work.

Ninetales @ Life Orb
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 40 HP / 252 SpA / 216 Spe
Timid Nature
- Nasty Plot
- Fire Blast
- Energy Ball
- Psyshock

Cool pokemon I feel is underrated in the current metagame, amazing coverage with Fire-Grass-Psychic. Can hit all of it's checks, nothing relevant (who uses gourg-s; swanna; frogadier; adamant smash costa or dodrio?) is outspeed by max speed, so i hit the jump point which also conveniently outspeed base 95's as well. Life Orb allows me to hit harder, Flash Fire because drought is illegal and it helps check fire types, I guess. If Max/Max is what the builder feels like is better, just change it.

Ok, i suppose i should clarify what i meant. As you can see the rhydon team i requested was requested yesterday; a sunday. And i requested this on a monday. So unless you count a week sunday-saturday and not monday-sunday. I meant could i request a team on sunday, and then another one monday, which is technically a different week. :////// if not ill just selete the post and request it sunday

Requesting a team around Choice Band Torterra, the thing hits so hard it's ludicrous.

latest

Torterra @ Choice Band
Ability: Overgrow
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Wood Hammer
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge
- Bullet Seed
Hmm...I've used Band Torterra a few times, and while its power certainly is impressive the best Band/Specs users are ones with spammable STABs, and Wood Hammer has lots of Pokémon that resist it while Earthquake has lots of Pokémon immune. Would you be adverse to changing it to a Life Orb set with 3 attacks and Synthesis (same EVs as your set with Synthesis in place of Bullet Seed)? If so I think I can help you.

Almost certain only the appointed builders can give teams, unless they get permission.

518.gif

Musharna @ Leftovers
Ability: Synchronize
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Calm Mind
- Moonlight
- Psyshock
- Baton Pass

Calm Mind + Baton Pass Musharna is one of my old favorites from PU so it would be cool if I could get a team with it. I don't really mind what kind of playstyle it is as long as it has enough ways to take advantage of Musharna passing Calm Mind boosts. Feel free to edit the item or EV spread or whatever you want as long as the Calm Mind + Baton Pass is there.

7 Calendar Days from the previous request.

This is something I'd prefer you PM or VM the user about rather than cluttering up the thread, if you'd like to be considered a builder for the lab you can pm me 3-4 recent teams you've built with thought processes behind each and you'll be considered.

e: on another note, I've decided to make a spreadsheet visible to the public so you can all keep track of where we are on requests, when your last request was, what cores have recently been suggested, and see who is working on your team. Lab builders need to pm me so I can give them editing access. http://spo.ink/teambuildinglab

Could someone build a team based around Coil Rest Arbok and Lure Mega Audino? I've seen people using coil 3 atks but i feel coil rest does better vs slower balanced teams. Audino can lure things that give arbok trouble like quag ,rhydon , weezing etc. Thanks in advance !

gonna request me a normal spam team built around Kangaskhan + Tauros/Zangoose as they can both weaken eachothers checks/counters throughout the game. I'm not fussed what style, but I love to play offense generally. Heck, you can use all three if you want, and feel free to tweak the spreads as you wish.
Sets:
Kangaskhan @ Silk Scarf
Ability: Scrappy
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Fake Out
- Double-Edge
- Sucker Punch
- Earthquake/Aqua Tail

Tauros @ Life Orb
Ability: Sheer Force
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpA / 252 Spe
Naive Nature
- Rock Climb
- Earthquake/Rock Slide
- Fire Blast
- Zen Headbutt

Zangoose @ Toxic Orb
Ability: Toxic Boost
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Facade
- Close Combat
- Knock Off
- Quick Attack

also if brawl decides to take this I wanna see some innovation, but idc too much about who takes this

I'd like a team built around this core:

samurott.gif

Samurott @ Lum Berry
Ability: Torrent
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- Aqua Jet
- Waterfall
- Megahorn

magmortar.gif

Magmortar @ Assault Vest
Ability: Vital Spirit
EVs: 104 HP / 252 SpA / 152 Spe
Modest Nature
- Fire Blast
- Thunderbolt
- Focus Blast
- Flame Charge
tennis actually built a team with these two pokemon a little while ago, the Samurott set is a little different but it probably functions just as well with your set. http://puu.sh/kJmtr.txt

Reminder to everyone: Check the OP to see if a similar team has been posted with your core / pokemon, I'm not having people build completely new teams because you want a mon with one move changed or don't like the current team, if you request a team that is already listed in the OP you'll be blacklisted from requests for 2 weeks.

Ok, I deleted my request for a new team since such team had already been made.
Can I request a team built around another core/pokemon?

I actually ended up building your team anyways since I was making an NU Open team with that core. I'll post it later today.

So starting with the core of Tauros / Kanga, I decided to use Aqua Tail Kanga to lure in Rhydon for Tauros and then just went with the standard spread. I decided to get a bit innovative with the Tauros set and went with a Work Up set that iplaytennislol posted about in the Creative Sets Thread. I then added Swellow in order to revenge faster mons, and be able to clean up late game when Steel / Rock Types are weakened. I went with Dual Attacks and Sleep Talk in order to act like a better check to Vivillon and Lilligant, but you can keep on HP Grass or Heat Wave in the last slot depending on what you feel the team needs. I hate using Kangaskhan without also using Spikes or Toxic Spikes support since it does such a great job of spreading out damage with Fake Out, so I added a Focus Sash Lead Roselia. Max Speed and a Timid Nature in order to get a fast sleep powder, then dual hazards and Sludge Bomb so you can actually hit Xatu. Poison Point is the prefered ability, as Natural Cure doesn't really do anything and getting a poison is nice, but it can backfire if you are trying to put something to sleep and they get poisoned instead. Golurk was added as a Stealth Rocker and a way to actually threaten Rock / Steel types, and it also does a good job with dealing with Skuntank which could be a bit threatening to the rest of the team. Samurott was added on as the last mon to deal damage to teams quickly, as well as break down Physical walls like Weezing.

This team did fairly well in testing, but you have to make sure to keep up offensive pressure at all times, and don't be afraid to over predict. Hope you like the team n_n

the teacher becomes the student oo

anyways, can you build me something cool around SD Jumpluff? its anti-meta as fuck atm and does well against a lot of common balance and offense builds. i'd assume the team would have some form of hazard stack considering how weak jumpluff is even with a boost, although i dont really care whether you make it balance or offense. i haven't been able to make a real consistent team w/ it yet and i thought that the lab builders, or maybe Kiyo himself would be able to bless me with a team straight from pokegods. i assume you know the set but if you really want me to i'll edit it in.

So I was planning on building with Vanilluxe and Liligant at some point anyways so this was kinda a good timing for the requests you guys did. Floatzel pairs extremely well with Vanilluxe and Liligant as they just kind of soften the opponents team for a late game sweep (provided you can hit your attacks). Since the 3 of these pokemon are relatively fast special attackers it makes sense to be able to boost their stats in a cheap and effective way, which is where calm mind pass musharna comes in. The team was already weak as dicks to fighting types such as sawk so I went for colbur berry on musharna over kee berry just for consistency's sake, although you can really run either. to round out some defensive weaknesses I tossed on Rhydon and Hariyama which condense a ton of resists/roles into one and in general tie the team together pretty well.

I ended up going 1-1 with this team in NU open despite being drunk at the time, so I hope that means its ok!? Have fun.

Hey id like to request an offense trick room team based around swords dance mawile
Reminder to everyone: Check the OP to see if a similar team has been posted with your core / pokemon, I'm not having people build completely new teams because you want a mon with one move changed or don't like the current team, if you request a team that is already listed in the OP you'll be blacklisted from requests for 2 weeks.
a team with Trick Room Mawile is already in the OP of this thread (http://puu.sh/kLwTs.txt), so in the future can you please look more closely before posting.
Since you posted before I gave the warning before, you won't be blacklisted but please keep this in mind for the future.

Yo, so ever since hextom got popular, I thought I'd check what mons get hex, and hot dam ninetails does. I want put in a request for a status stack hex team? Sounds rather run if I could play a Balanced with like I guess fwg core with this hex.

While I personally feel that 90% of the teams created here are viable for major tournaments, there have been complaints in the past that these teams may not be of the highest caliber. In order to give some newer users a better outlet to learn the tier we've created a sample teams section which you can now find in the OP. This list will be updated regularly with current metagame teams created by respected community members and tournament players.

Thanks again for being patient while the lab was closed, it's great to see things booming again.
