Hey y'all, nice to be back posting my awesomeness; I've been slightly and unhealthily hooked on Pokemon Online and thus my string of failing fourth generation teams have taking a bit of a back seat. So as my DS is gathering dust, it's the fifth generation of Pokemon for me and I'd like to share the team that is really dealing out some serious punishment.
So. It's a Dark/Ghost/Psychic team, hence the name that combines all my favourite little tricks that I've picked up in my short battling career. I'm not posting a building process or anything like that because frankly, I can't remember what I started with...
At a glance...
Suicide Lead
Frolass (Frostitute) @ Leftovers
Cursed Body
EV: 252 SPD/140 HP/60 DEF
Timid Nature
-Destiny Bond
-Spikes
-Thunder Wave
-Ice Beam
My baby. She's really got something going here ya' know. The idea is to set up as many layers of Spikes as possible and then taking out whatever else she can with Destiny Bond. That takes a fair bit of prediction, but it usually works out. Occasionally, it won't go to plan like that and I'll maybe have to use Thunder Wave and switch out. This isn't hardship as she'll cripple one and DBRK someone else later. This is usually when I'm up against tanks or Sweepers that are anticipating the Destiny Bond. Ice Beam is thrown into the mix to put Frostitute on the offensive if I'm up against some form of glass cannon, Aerodactyl is a prime example. My EV's fall to boost speed to really get the best out of DB and Spikes and to take enough hits to get up an adequate number of Spikes.
Trick Support
Claydol (Barbie) @ Choice Scarf
Levitate
EV: 252 DEF/252 SP.DEF/4 HP
Bold Nature
-Trick
-Rapid Spin
-Stealth Rock
-Ice Beam
Barbie, named from the fact that Claydol is a doll, is usually my second Pokemon out into the fray. Since Frostitute has usually fainted and used DP the field is empty and a mixed wall is a safe bet. Claydol's EV's are to absorb hits and get as many of its support options out as possible, as well as taking hits that Gengar and Absol can't take. Trick is an obvious one, to hopefully lock a Pokemon onto something useless (stat boosters are usually my favourite) and we can then either Spin or set up a SR. Triple Spikes and Stealth Rock are usual sights without enduring too much hardship. My attack of choice isn't STAB, but Ice has some terrific coverage and Barbie is the only guy I've got who can take an Outrage or two.
More info to come....
