The Quality Control (QC) Team
The Quality Control team is responsible to ensure every OU analysis is up to the high standards Smogon expects for its content. These analyses are being viewed by thousands of individuals across the world, so a high standard of quality is necessary.

If the QC team does not think your analysis is up to on-site standards, they have the right to reassign or reject it. Make sure you familiarize yourself with C&C standards if you wish to prevent this from being the case.

How to Join:
We are currently looking for new QC members! If you are interested in becoming SV OU QC, you can get involved by posting unofficial amchecks (amateur checks) where you can make suggestions and comments on an analysis in the same way a QC member would! We will aim to give feedback to all amcheckers and invite some of you to join the team as well after good checks. No prior QC experience is needed to post amchecks, so if you want to contribute, go for it!

If you have high quality amchecks, we will then invite you to join the Trial QC team! Your checks will then be able to count as official QC checks, with mods reviewing your checks before posting to provide in-depth feedback. After a few trial checks, you’ll become a full team member!

If you have any questions about the QC team or the joining process, please reach out to one of the forum mods.

Dreadfury is our newest moderator to help with our shift to post-Home C&C following his hard work taking a lead role in developing and maintaining sample sets, as well as being proactive in discussions about the section in general. Congrats!
 
DKM, hamiltonion and lydian are stepping down from the QC team, thank you for your contributions!

As a quick update, we plan to restart analyses again shortly for the DLC2 metagame, which will give us the opportunity to write about OU without work becoming outdated by further shifts and DLCs. However, we have lost a lot of QC members recently, so we want to expand the team before we begin our DLC2 work.

We are looking for OU Trial QC members! The trial QC system will work almost the same as full QC, where new members will be invited into our channels and have a larger role in set development, as well as being able to help with QC checks when we open. When analysis writing starts up, trial QC members will be able to post checks once approved by the mod team, who will provide feedback and support to get people ready to fully join the team! We know that OU C&C has been closed for a while, so we wanted to run a trial system to benefit people who are experienced and knowledgable with the OU metagame but less familiar with analysis work. The process is designed for anyone with an interest in C&C, so even if you don’t have experience, that shouldn’t be a barrier!

We will then review all responses in the coming days. Make sure you are in the OU discord if you’re interested so we can give you the necessary roles and answer any questions!

If you are more interested in writing than QC work, don’t worry—we will open soon! I am really excited to get things moving officially now we are in a more stable time.
