If you cant do that then read on
If you can then i resent you you bastard
Having read "The Physical Fitness Thread", while eating cake, and not really been able to gauge what they're talking about for the most part (squat thrusts sound like a vicious surgical implant) I decided to make this thread for the more excercise adverse of us. I was gonna put it in the sports arena section but then i thought that would be slightly counter productive..

Im not saying this is the "Fat and Proud" thread, im pretty sure im underweight for a start which i put down to (temporary..) youthfully high metabolism, but to be honest the sum of my weekly excercise is walking around for new places to have cigarette breaks from school and i cant remember the last time I actually ran. Just detail your lifestyle or whatever, free flow baby.

Im pretty sure I live off of Doritos and Waitrose homebrand cloudy lemonade which just isn't condusive to a healthy body, I play sport but mostly not fitness intensive ones - play hockey goalie, you get to lie down for like 95% of the time its wicked - and i can't work, out the amount testosterone in gyms freaks me out and i get awkward.

STRONG WHERE IT REALLY MATTERS YEAH

i approve of this thread. i go through bouts of having good intentions and working out at home a few times a week but after 2-3 months it goes downhill and i end up back where i started

having said that, i've lost almost 3 stone in the last 2 years due to shifting from a 9-5 office job to being a bartender, so my advice to anyone who cant be bothered with exercise but wants to get fitter is: get a job that doesn't have you sitting on your arse all day long!

I eat so much mcdonalds that I might as well just live there. I drink too much beer, which doesn't help the calorie count and I adore nachos. Combine that with the unemployment before my trip and having a house to myself with a big screen HD tv to play xbox on for just a few weeks....

and holy shit I am sloth. I actually look better now (at least in the face region) than when I was 185 lbs. Now I'm 225ish (it fluctuates as much as 10 lbs per day 0_0) and 6'1 still. Not a giant fatass but certainly doughy.

Weirdly, I get more chicks now by an observed margin than I did when I was a national wrestling champ, ripped as hell and basically solid muscle. Go figure.

I have some weights but I am never motivated to lift them- they hurt my neck, which I hurt in a car accident from some fucker plowing into me. I also hurt my back a few years ago, which really fucks me over. Also I have had some lung issues and I have ongoing issues with inflammation...so yeah, working out is a pain, quite literally, in the neck.

by more chicks do you mean you previously didnt have internet escapades with lanturn

Yeah, I sit on my ass all day studying and going on the internet... and I eat desserts all the time. I've only been to the gym once in my life, and that was just because my friend needed someone to go with her and I was the only one around, so I went reluctantly. I'm a fatass at heart-- if the world were just at all, I'd be about 300lbs by now. Luckily, I have an awesome super-fast metabolism ^_^
Won't last forever, but hey, by the time I get fat, I'll be old anyway, at which point it won't really matter :P

morm i hate to break it to you but

  • Underweight = <18.5
  • Normal weight = 18.5–24.9
  • Overweight = 25–29.9
  • Obesity = BMI of 30 or greater
you clock in at 29.7. maybe ease up on the macdonalds huh

According to random calculator I'm finally average at a BMI of 19! Finally hit 150lbs this year (was 120lbs in September which was a BMI of 15), but my doctor tells me I need to hit 175lbs to be average. So I got some ways to go still.

^very this. I had the opposite happen to me--went from managing a Papa Johns to working as a recruiting director 9-5 mostly at a desk, and in the last 8 months I've gained over 30 lbs. Make sure if you follow m0nkfich's advice that you actually get a job that involves movement, as opposed to just being on your feet. This means, for example, being a waiter/waitress instead of a host/hostess, etc. Papa Johns was GREAT for keeping my weight in check because I was moving around alot and getting alot of upper body exercise through dough prep and making the pizzas, as well as carrying them when I was delivering.

But of course, this is the Physically UNFIT thread, so I would assume most of the posters aren't looking for ways to get fit without working out...

On more than an occasion I wanted to go to the GYM, but I'm too damn lazy/busy to do so. I'm overweight, but I don't eat that much, I eat average if not less, it's my metabolism that's basically makes me get fat(ter) so easily.

These days I'm super lazy, maybe because I'm in vacation, but still.

According to this thing, my BMI is around 16.8 (I don't know my exact weight, but it's always around the weight I entered into the calculator thingy).

Apparently, I'm way underweight and need to eat more lol

I'm super underweight. I've done things like eat tons of junk food for a week and see if I gain weight and I gained nothing. I've eaten barely any food for a week, and lost nothing. I need to hit the gym.

5'7'' and 105 lbs. by the way.

I was waiting for this thread.

Took that BMI calculator that Lanturn posted and apparently my BMI is in between 16.8 and 18.0 (5'4" and in between 98 and 105 pounds, since my weight changes a lot).

I find this weirder since practically everything I eat has high fat and/or sugar content...super high metabolism good or bad?

Bad because it doesn't last forever then you get fat.

6 foot and 140 lbs of raw muscle
oh ya
Apparently I'm 95% lean muscle or whatever the fuck which is pretty unhealthy. That was a while ago though when i was like 5'9" and 100lbs
edit: just did a bmi thing
Apparently I'm 19
and I'm 13 percent fat which presumably means I'm 87% lean muscle now
or something
Yeah I'm not looking forward to gaining lots of weight once I turn 30.

5' 5" and 118 pounds. That makes my BMI normal, which surprises me since I eat, like, 10 - 15 times a day.

I have a super fast metabolism, never had to exercise to have a good weight, but lately my appetite took a dive to hell and now I weight 118 as opposed to 126.

So now I'm making a not-so-conscious effort to actually stuff my face with more food and regain some pounds.

fuck y'all fatasses

BMI is inaccurate and outdated.
enlighten me-- what other way?

oh and if i'm posting i may as well 'brag' at having 14.2 bmi but seeing as that's inaccurate and outdated i have nothing to brag about? i'm actually extremely thin if only for my fast metabolism, i actually barely work out and eat loads of junk..

BMI calculators are not even close to being accurate with just your height and weight. Unless you include a measurement of how much of your body weight is composed of fat, it won't be accurate. Somebody can have tons of muscle and a very low concentration of body fat but be considered overweight by a conventional calculator.

Quick tip: Muscle weighs 17.77% more than an equal volume of fat
