Funny that we thought the same on these. I was thinking about subbing the Pledge effects but Duo beat it to me, but as they say, great minds think alike.

:ss/caterpie: :ss/metapod: :ss/butterfree:
:ss/weedle: :ss/kakuna: :ss/beedrill:
:ss/pidgey: :ss/pidgeotto: :ss/pidgeot:

Next after the Kanto starters in the NatDex, are the Caterpie, Weedle, and Pidgey lines! Submissions are now open! Take note that Butterfree’s replacement needs a Gmax form and a new Gmax move, while Beedrill’s and Pidgeot’s replacements need new Megas.

I’ll submit myself! By the way change to the height and weight: you could use any method of measurement!

Pokemon: Naiany

Weight: 45 pounds
Height: 3 feet
Gender Ratio: 7/1
Egg Groups: Bug/Field
Other Forms: Gigantamax Mothrax
Competitive Scene: Mothrax could prove itself as a nice special wallbreaker due to its good Special Attack and its nice Speed tier, but it is held back by its weakness to Stealth Rock and its meddling bulk. The most likely set Mothrax would run would be the same set Volcarona currently utilizes: HDB with Quiver Dance, Flamethrower, Bug Buzz, and Psychic.

Pokemon: Mothrax-Gmax
Sprite: A red moth with wings (yellow surrounded by orange)
Signature Move: G-Max Burning Light: The user shines a bright burning light that blinds the target. If this move is used successfully, the target is either burned or confused, and the target is trapped for five turns.
Description: Gigantamax Mothrax is based on the popular fact that moths are attracted to bright light. Since we are in an Anything Goes format since we are remaking the Pokédex, Mothrax-Gmax is probably going to be a huge threat, since being trapped and at the same time, being inflicted with status could be dangerous.

Pokémon: Aurougle
Sprite: A small bird with shining gold-like skin with fan-like wings
Typing: Steel/Flying

Sprite: Same as Auroquila but a bigger beak and wider wings
Typing: Steel/Flying
Stats: 81/102/71/51/72/102
Abilities: Big Pecks, Early Bird, Sheer Force
Removed Moves: Heat Wave, Ominous Wind, Laser Focus
Added Moves: Flash Cannon, Iron Head, Swords Dance
Pokédex Entry: There are many legends surrounding Aurosaetos being a heroic Pokémon where it saves meek Pokémon from their prey.
Weight: 134 pounds
Height: 6 feet
Gender Ratio: 7/1
Egg Group: Field/Flying
Competitive Scene: Aurosaetos is going to prove itself as a powerful wallbreaker in this meta because of its good Speed tier, decent bulk, an offensive typing in Flying, and a defensive typing in Steel, which allows it to force out Pokémon like Lobstruce. It also makes for a fast sweeper due to Swords Dance.

Pokemon: Mega Aurosaetos
Typing: Steel/Flying
Stats: 81/142/81/51/82/142
Abilities: Huge Power
Competitive Scene: Mega Aurosaetos is going to prove itself as a very huge offensive threat in this metagame because as of now, it currently has one of the highest Speed stats, and with its monstrous Attack stat and decent bulk, it’s going to function as a nice all-rounded revenge killer and cleaner.

Pokedex Entry: Fla
Weight: 12 pounds
Height: 1'9"
Gender Ratio: 50/50
Egg Groups: Bug/Amorphous
Description: Floating by sheer willpower that flaps its wings, this thing looks almost empty in its stare.
Competitive: The only thing that will keep this thing from low tiers is probably its ability to set terrain. It's not bad at it, although needing boots sucks even with recover. Not that 55/60/75 defenses with a bug typing can really get recovery going. It's all about QD Stored Power, since this thing lacks good coverage with no fighting or fire moves to bust open steel types. Even then, it's slow meaning it might just terrain and pivot out. Look, it's an early game bug, making them amazing is never easy.

GMax Monarchon
Signature: G-Max Willsapper - Drains life from the target and lowers target SpAtk while dealing damage. The draining effect mirrors Strength Sap but from the target's SpAtk

Height: 1'9"
Gender Ratio: 50/50
Egg Groups: Bug/Monster
Description: Big and shockingly adaptive. This thing twitches worse than the cicadas you see on the street in summer.
Competitive: I mean it's no Pincurchin, but it does little more than zap things. I guess you could play flinch master with Zing Zap and it still has Drill Run to get a surprisingly useful Ground coverage to hit a large swath of the types resistant to Electric/Bug stab. Ice or Fire Fang also potentially help. Beyond that, it's the Electric terrain counterpart to Monarchon.... But why not consider going Mega?

Mega Shockada
Sprite
: The cicada twitches rapidly and its fangs drip electric rabies!
Stat Increases: 0/55/10/-20/10/40
Ability: Tough Claws
Competitive: Well, you probably know the plan! Switch in, Mega up and Zing Zap as much and as often as you can before terrible bulk does you in.

(Insert random bird or weather related alliteration)
Pokemon: Dopplegg
Sprite: A small bird with a black body and tiny wings, it’s whole face except for its tiny beak is covered by half of an eggshell that is patterned and colored like the Doppler radar.
Typing: Flying/Normal
Stats: 40/35/40/45/45/46
Abilities: Weatherman (When this Pokemon enters the battle, it sets a random weather condition), Overcoat (HA)
Removed Moves: Mud Slap, Toxic
Added Moves: Weather Ball, Thundershock, Thunderwave, Hyper Voice
Pokedex Entry: It is very easy to locate this Pokemon, as wherever it goes, small freak storms of various kinds soon follow. It is theorized that Dopplegg’s shell causes these rapid changes in weather.
Weight: 2.3 kg
Height: 1’00’’ ft
Gender Ratio: 1:1
Egg Groups: Flying
Description: I’ll provide a quick explanation on the idea behind this line since Dopplegg isn’t really intended to be a competitive juggernaut. The line is based on a Hatchling, a Red-Winged Blackbird, and a sort of mishmash between the RWB and birds of preg such as kites. Inspiration Also comes from the idea of a weatherman, specifically the assertion that weatherman aren’t really that good at successfully predictingthe weather. This is the reason for the Doppler radar patterns and their ability (which I’m not sure is legal since it’s not an exact clone of an ability but the mashup of a few together).
Evolution: Doppleck
Pokemon: Doppleck
Sprite: A larger bird based on the Red-Winged Blackbird. It’s body remains mostly black, and the feathers on its lower body and tail flow farther down, somewhat resembling a long raincoat. The top parts of the wings now feature the Doppler pattern
Typing: Flying/Electric
Stats: 63/50/55/60/60/61
Abilities: Weatherman (When this Pokemon enters the battle, it sets a random weather condition), Overcoat (HA)
Removed Moves: Mud Slap, Toxic
Added Moves: Weather Ball, Thundershock, Thunderwave, Hyper Voice, Discharge, Thunderbolt
Pokedex Entry: Although they have absolutely know control over the weather that soon follows wherever they travel, Doppleck always acts as if they knew exactly what was coming.
Weight: 29.6 kg
Height: 3’05’’ ft
Gender Ratio: 1:1
Egg Groups: Flying
Description: Still dookie in competitive.
Evolution: Dopplavian
Pokemon: Doppleck
Sprite: An even larger bird now also based partially on a bird of prey. The wings, now much larger share similar doppler patterning, but the throat and chest is now a red that somewhat resembles a tie. On its head is a plume like that of a quail that dips down the side of the head and curves toward the beak, somewhat resembling a mic. The body is still primarily black.
Typing: Flying/Electric
Stats: 83/65/75/85/90/81
Abilities: Weatherman (When this Pokemon enters the battle, it sets a random weather condition), Overcoat (HA)
Removed Moves: Mud Slap, Toxic
Added Moves: Weather Ball, Thundershock, Thunderwave, Hyper Voice, Discharge, Thunderbolt, Nasty Plot, Icy Wind, Water Pulse, Scorching Sands
Pokedex Entry: Now having come to terms with the fact that they have no prayer at controlling their powers, Dopplavian train in each of the weather conditions, becoming masters for every situation in which their unique abilities may land them.
Weight: 37.6 kg
Height: 4’10’’ ft
Gender Ratio: 1:1
Egg Groups: Flying
Description: Although definitely not a viable Pokemon for the higher tiers, this Pokemon would hopefully find a niche in a lower tier, where it can utilize its access to Defog, U-Turn, and Thunder Wave to function as a hazard remover and spread status or maybe function as an offensive mob that can utilize its solid coverage and access to Nasty Plot. It’s real competitive use however lies in the abilities of its Mega form.
Evolution: Mega Dopplavian
Pokemon: Doppleck
Sprite: Dark lightning clouds encircle the wings and 4 spheres, one for each kind of weather surround the body. The plume, wings, and tail are now slightly larger and longer.
Typing: Flying/Electric
Stats: 83/80(+15)/90(+15)/135(+50)/110(+20)/81
Abilities: Storm Chaser (This Pokémon’s speed is doubles when a weather condition is active)
Removed Moves: Same as Dopplavian
Added Moves: Same as Dopplavian
Pokedex Entry: Mega evolution gives Dopplavian the final tools to finally master the unpredictability of their weather. They feed off the storms storing the power to increase speed, strength, and defense.
Weight: 40.8 kg
Height: 4’10’’ ft
Gender Ratio: 1:1
Egg Groups: Flying
Description: Mega Dopplavian is meant to function as a late game cleaner or midgame breaker that utilizes the Waetherman ability to gain a 2x speed boost upon Mega Evolution. There’s really only one Chance to do this per game however, and it’s very much an all or nothing Pokemon.
Evolution: None

I'm at a bit of a loss with some of these - rules - they're a bit senseless, and even the lead's not using them? Please don't copy paste the post, I've read the rules/format, but ImperialGamer517's Pidey line has Steel/Flying, despite only 2nd types able to be changed, and Pidgey line being Normal/Flying. It could be Normal/Steel using the OP's rules?

I don't really want to invest too much time in this until the exact application of the rules and how tightly we're supposed to follow them, so for the meanwhile, I'll leave placeholder, and follow the Project Lead's example re Typing changes.

Concept - Grass/Flying Mixed Attacker. Either can stay Physical and make use of STAB Skill Link Bullet Seed (which would be unique to it), or go Mega Evolve, spread their tail, summon the Sun, and fire off STAB 1 Turn Solar Beams, while having the STAB to put the hurt on Rain abusers. Grassy Surge is representative of the tail pulling behind it, letting the grass grow. It doesn't get a lot of benefit Grassy Terrain, but can become grounded with less fear of earthquake and gain additional healing from Roost when it does so.

Names are a pun on "Peashooter", "Peacebringer" and "Peacemaker"; Peacemaker is a film about nukes, and multiple turns of STAB Solar Beam firing off 135 SpA potentially can have a lot of fun with that. Peashot I imagine as being far off from a Natu, small green and round, and eventually morphing into a Peacock, who when their tail is on display, acts like a great mirror, focusing it into a golden beam of light.

[Regional Bird 1]; Peashot
Typing; Normal/Flying
Abilities: Tangled Feet / Keen Eye / Skill-link

[Regional Bird 3-Mega]; Mega-Peasmaker
Typing: Grass/Flying

The only change secondary typing rule was only meant for starters. For dual-typing, you can change either type, but not both.

Notifs for this thread never showed up so I never got to submit, darn. Anyways...

Caterpie: B > A
Pidgey: D > C > B > A

EDIT: I really doubt something with base 142 Atk / Speed and Huge Power will be even remotely balanced, or something with similar stats on the special side with STAB Water Boomburst. I didn’t notice we had megas before

Are there stats for the Peashot line? I gotta say the names and concept are amazing though, “Peasmaker” is so good. Also echoing what Duo said, 142 Atk Huge Power with 142 Spd sounds absurdly busted. I know this isn’t an exact parallel, but Mega Medicham being borderline broken with 100 Atk Pure Power and 100 Spd is pretty telling.

Caterpie: B>A
