Hey guys, Wheezer here. So the idea of this team I made is to use Mega-Charizard-X, Azumarill, and Diggersby to break down the opponents team using 2 of the 3 pokes and have the last one sweep (In most cases, its either Charizard or Diggersby that's sweeping). My good friend Fr33dom has had a lot of success with the team . He has recently laddered to 1500 with a 24-4 Win Loss ratio on Showdown. This team is very effective if used correctly and can be really hard to stop. EDIT: I actually just broke 1706 with this team, my first time being in the top 500

I decided to start with Mega-Charizard X because it is such a great sweeper and once its checks and counters are weakened, nothing can stop it.

Next, I added Diggersby because it works so well with Charizard. Diggersby takes care of stuff Charizard likes gone such as Heatran, and Charizard can get rid of pokes that Diggersby appreciates off the field like Skarmory.

Now here, I wanted to add a poke that was able to reliably set up rocks, and Skarmory best fit that description. Also, with Landorus-Therian, Pinsir, and Sand Offense being so popular, I thought Skarmory would be good for dealing with those.

At this point my team was realy weak to scarf Rotom-Wash and Keldeo, so I added Latias because it could also get rid of rocks that Charizard does not like switching in on. I chose Latias over Latios because it has better bulk and I felt it would fit the team better.

I felt like Sylveon would be a good addition to the team here because it was a pretty good cleric and would help keep poison and paralysis off of Charizard while also getting rid of burns on Diggersby. I chose Sylveon over Clefable because the team did not have a special wall and IMO Sylveon is a better Cleric then Clefable.

I had a hard time deciding what to use as the final poke, but in the end I chose Azumarill, because I felt it would be the best for dealing with pokes that still threatened the team.
~The Team at a Glance~
Charizard @ Charizardite X
Ability: Blaze
EVs: 144 HP / 252 Atk / 112 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Dragon Claw
- Flare Blitz (as suggested by SomeKidFromJohto and Ahabb)
- Roost
IMO, bulky ddance zard is the best sweeper in the current meta. Although, it does have trouble with pokes such as Heatran, Tyranitar, Azumarill, Quagsire, and Landorus-Therian (which are really common nowadays). However, once these pokes are killed or weakened, Charizard can easily sweep at +1. If you see 2 or more of these pokes on the opponent's team, I recommend sweeping with Diggersby instead.
Diggersby @ Life Orb
Ability: Huge Power
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- Earthquake
- Return
- Quick Attack
Diggersby can be extremely threatening once it reaches +2. Even Gliscor can be OHKO'ed with a Return from Diggersby at +2 (assuming its not running max defense). The only Pokes that truly wall Diggersby at +2 are Skarmory and Gengar, which Charizard can handle quite easily. Diggersby cannot touch Gengar at all, so make sure it is taken care of before you set up with Diggersby.
Azumarill @ Assault Vest (As suggested by sebbydaman and Enki)
Ability: Huge Power
EVs: HP 240 / 252 Atk / 16 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Play Rough
- Waterfall
- Aqua Jet
- Knock Off
Azumarill is extremely powerful, and 2HKO's most mons in OU. There is not much that can switch in on Azumarill, except for Ferrothorn, which is afraid of Superpower. Charizard can easily take care of Ferrothorn with Flare Blitz, but does not like switching in with rocks up. Assault Vest is important on Azumarill for handling pokes that the team has trouble with otherwise.
Skarmory @ Leftovers
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 232 HP / 252 Def / 24 SpD
Impish Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Roost
- Brave Bird
- Whirlwind
Skarmory walls much of the meta, and can be very tough to take down. It can easily get up rocks when it comes in on a poke that it forces out, or if rocks are already up, it can just Whirlwind and get damage off. It walls stuff like Tyranitar, Excadrill, and Pinsir which the team is otherwise weak to. Latias is the defogger on the team rather than Skarmory because I feel that both rocks and Defog on Skarmory put to much pressure on it.
Latias (F) @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Defog
- Healing Wish (As suggested by sebbydaman and Enki)
- Draco Meteor
- Psyshock
Latias is very good IMO, and is great for switching into Keldeo and Rotom-Wash which the team has problems with. Latias can hit very hard with Draco Meteor, and it can OHKO a lot of glass cannons. Healing Wish can come in very clutch at times, especially if Sylveon goes down early. Latias is a very reliable defogger and fits the team very well.
Sylveon @ Leftovers
Ability: Pixilate
EVs: 252 HP / 216 Def / 36 SpD / 4 Spe
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Hyper Voice
- Protect
- Wish
- Heal Bell
Sylveon is the last member of the team, and I find it to be a great Cleric. Thanks to its Defensive investment, Sylveon can counter Mons such as Medicham, Lati@s, and Dragonite. Charizard, Azumarill, and Diggersby all appreciate a good cleric to keep burns, paralysis, and poison off of them. It can also pass wishes off to another poke on the team when Sylveon forces the opponent to swithc out.

Gengar can be very problematic to the team, and is best handled with Charizard. Charizard can OHKO Gengar with dragon claw, and take a shadow ball somewhat well. If its stallbreaker gar then Sylveon or Azumarill can handle it.

Espeon is a big threat in a Baton pass chain, and is really tough to handle. The best thing to do is to get a SD or two up with Diggersby and don't let Espeon get a sub up.

Mega Aggron can be a pain to deal with, especially when it has a phazing move. Firing off Flare Blitzed with Charizard is the best Answer to it.
