The Qontinent [OU]

Hey guys, it's been about a month since my last RMT, so I thought I'd post my newest team I've been using.

Heatran (M) @ Choice Specs
Trait: Flash Fire
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Spd / 252 SAtk
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Magma Storm
- Overheat
- Hidden Power [Grass]
- Stealth Rock
Like my last team, I use a SpecTran lead. Total monster. Overheat is my main attack as it OHKOs Metagross, Hippopowdon, Machamp and pretty much everything slower and not weak to Fire. Magma Storm is for fragile leads that I suspect to be holding a Sash. HP Grass is for Swamperts and sometimes Vaporeon.

Empoleon (M) @ Petaya Berry
Trait: Torrent
EVs: 12 HP / 244 Spd / 252 SAtk
Modest Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Agility
- Substitute
- Surf
- Ice Beam
Yeayea lategame sweeper... I never used Empoleon until now and so far it's been wonderful. With the STAB+Petaya+Torrent, Surf is pretty powerful. I am kinda stumped on a last move, Grass Knot helps with Vaporeon and Gyarados, but it makes it hard to kill Dragons and Grass types. HELP!!

SuicunePlush3.jpg

Suicune @ Life Orb
Trait: Pressure
EVs: 252 Spec Atk / 252 Spd / 4 HP
Timid Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Calm Mind
- Hydro Pump
- Ice Beam
- Hidden Power [Electric]
Offensive cune is a monster. It's not hard at all to set up when you have 2 Pokes 4x weak to Ice. I set up Calm Mind on the switch and it can usually take down 1-2 Pokemon. I use Hydro Pump instead of Surf for the power. Even if I miss, Suicune has enough bulk not to get KOd.
gengarplush.jpg

Gengar (M) @ Life Orb
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 4 Def / 252 Spd / 252 SAtk
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Substitute
- Pain Split
- Shadow Ball
- Focus Blast
SubSplit Gengar... AWESOME!! Gengar is pretty much unstoppable when a sub is up and with Pain Split I can heal and do about 45% to Blissey. Shadow Ball/Focus Blast is perfect coverage. Not much else I can add.

Flygon (M) @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Outrage
- Earthquake
- U-turn
- Thunderpunch
Revenge killer obviously. Flygon does a great job at attracting Ice attacks which help Empoleon and Suicune set up. STAB Outrage and Earthquake are deadly. U-Turn is nice for scouting out at the begining, Thunderpunch so I can kill Gyarados and some other Water types like Starmie.

pokemon-plush-jumbo-pillow-dragonite-big-large-new-rare_280542613559.jpg

Dragonite (M) @ Life Orb
Trait: Inner Focus
EVs: 116 Atk / 232 Spd / 160 SAtk
Hasty Nature (+Spd, -Def)
- Draco Meteor
- Superpower
- ExtremeSpeed
- Flamethrower
MixNite.<3 Awesome wall breaker. The Speed EVs let me outspeed nonscarf Heatran and kill it with Superpower. Flygon+Dragonite make an excellent revenge duo. I can U-Turn out to Dragonite and use Extreme Speed as long as they're not using an Ice attack.http://faqsmedia.ign.com/faqs/image/ani245.gif

And that's my new team. Comment, rate whatever.
Thanks for reading.

I recommend putting in SR somewhere in your team, most likely Heatran because they guarantee some crucial OHKOs/2HKOs for Gengar and Dragonite. Also you won't be to revenge Gyarados so well with Flygon without SR seeing as Stone Edge does around 50% to bulky dos and 60% on Offensive Dos. I recommend Tpunch unless you don't mind making your Dragonite lose another 25% to SR coming in to Extremespeed it.

@omgitscal I put SR on Heatran but I never use it... oh well, it's good to have.

@BluePikachu2 Yeah it is Modest, not sure why I put Adamant. :\

Hello.

My first suggestion is going to be stick with Leftovers over Life Orb on Suicune. Suicune is currently the ''glue'' of your team, checking threats like Heatran and DD Gyarados... so you don't definitely don't want him to go down too fast as LO can wear it down quite easily. Leftovers on the other hand gives you much more survivability so that Suicune can actually stick around. Also, I would like to reccomend Surf > Hydro Pump. Surf is amuch more reliable move thanks to it's superior accuracy and PP, but if you don't mind the downsides of Hydro Pump then it's still a viable option.

Your team has most threats covered, there a few difficulties that I can see happening around your team. Offensive Suicune, LO Suicune and bulky waters in general can be a bit problematic. Now, at a glance, your team would appreciate Toxic Spikes support very much. With that being said, I'd like you to try out a mid-game Spiker Roserade. This variant of Roserade can easily come in on most Water- types and special attackers and set-up or hit them hard with STAB Grass-. Roserade can easily come in on a LO Hydro Pump from Starmie, followed by Ice Beam and hit back really hard. Your own offensive Suicune, Sub Petaya Empoleon and SubSplit Gengar love having Toxic Spikes on the field because it wears down their counters (Blissey and bulky Water- types) and Gengar can somewhat spin-block. The set is: Toxic Spikes | HP Fire | Rest | Leaf Storm, Leftovers, Calm nature and 252 HP / 4 SpAtk / 252 SpDef. Give it a test to see if it works out for your team.

As for minor changes, if you find it annoying to be locked into SR on Heatran, give LO + a Modest nature a shot. You still OHKO Machamp and still hit hard like before but you can switch between moves and be set-up on much less. Try out Fire Blast / Stone Edge over Thunder Punch on Flygon. Suicune already counters DD Gyarados (especially if you go for Leftovers) and Starmie (which you claim T-Punch is for) is hit for the same amount of damage by EQ with STAB included. Fire Blast hits Skarmory and Forretress helping you against stall while Stone Edge allows you to pick off weakened Dragonite, Gyarados and Zapdos without locking your self into an Outrage.

Hope this helps and good luck!
