A BW2 UU RMT by LucaroarkZ

What's up everyone! So, as most of you know, Skill Link Cinccino was released with Black 2 and White 2. Since its shit movepool contains basically three good moves, all of which are multi-hit moves, Cinccino has been buffed tremendously. So, I got an idea: Use it somewhere higher than NU! Like... UU!

This is the team that resulted from that idea, and it has so far been working out really well for me.

Cofagrigus @ Leftovers
Trait: Mummy
EVs: 252 HP / 136 Def / 120 SDef
Bold Nature
- Will-O-Wisp
- Haze
- Shadow Ball
- Pain Split

Cofagrigus is THE Heracross counter. Not Shitclops, not Gligar, it's Cofagrigus. I really don't understand why people still use Dusclops; Dusclops doesn't really do much outside of burn stuff. Cofagrigus's Mummy ability is great to have on something for Heracross, as it gets rid of Moxie or Guts once Heracross uses a contact move on it. It also gets Haze so it can remove stat boosts from set-up sweepers. Part of the reason I believe Cofagrigus is so good is also because it has 95 base Special Attack, meaning Ghost-types such as Chandelure and Mismagius must think twice about switching in on it, while those two both basically switch in on Dusclops for free. In addition, I've found Shadow Ball to help me against Slowbro.

Cinccino @ Life Orb
Trait: Skill Link
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature
- Tail Slap
- Rock Blast
- Bullet Seed
- U-turn

Cinccino is one of my favorite Pokemon; It's just so damn cute! However, before Skill Link was released it was rather useless. The release of Skill Link means Cinccino has changed my competitive views on Cinccino from "Weeeeak, don't use it" to "I need this thing on my team NOW!" I mean, yeah, walled pretty badly by Steel-types, but that's why I have Magneton and Mienshao. Wake-Up Slap is stupidly weak anyway, while U-turn eases predictions with "what is the opponent going to switch to". Other than that, Cinccino's only options are Tail Slap for STAB, Rock Blast for doing more damage to Pokemon such as Zapdos and Chandelure, and Bullet Seed to hit Swampert and Rhyperior.

snorlax_by_kaitlynclinkscales-d4b666l.png

Snorlax @ Leftovers
Trait: Thick Fat
EVs: 80 HP / 252 Atk / 176 SDef
Adamant Nature
- Return
- Earthquake
- Pursuit
- Crunch

I have only ever really considered using two things to switch in on Chandelure: Snorlax and Porygon2. I tried Porygon2 once and I found that it wasn't doing much, while at the same time I've been consistently underwhelmed by RestTalk Snorlax. So, for this reason I decided to use an offensive Snorlax so I can smack Chandelure with a Pursuit as it flees in fear. This is helped by Thick Fat and its immunity to Shadow Ball. I use Return for STAB because my team doesn't really need things to be paralyzed by Body Slam. Earthquake covers Pokemon that resist its STAB, for example Rhyperior and Bisharp. Pursuit lets me trap the aforementioned Chandelure, as well as Pokemon such as Mismagius (and Azelf to a lesser extent). Fire Punch only really hits Bronzong, while Earthquake hits other Steels harder, so I went for Crunch for hitting Cofagrigus (on the switch-in of course, can't stay in or I'd be getting hit by Will-O-Wisp) and lolClaydol.

Magneton @ Choice Specs
Trait: Magnet Pull
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Modest Nature
- Thunderbolt
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Volt Switch
- Flash Cannon

Now, I understand that Magneton is RU because its Steel-trapping capabilities are not as necessary in UU as they are in OU, while OU has Magnezone to accomplish that job. However, Magneton can trap Empoleon and hit it with a super effective Thunderbolt, which helps make Cinccino's life much easier. Outside of that, though, the Steel-trapping aspect of Magneton is not particularly useful. Registeel isn't even 4HKOed if I recall correctly (Registeel isn't very common anyway), Bronzong will be obliterating it with Earthquake, and there just aren't very many Steel-types running around in UU when compared to OU. Still, Choice Specs Magneton's Thunderbolt hits ridiculously hard against anything that doesn't resist it, and if you think you can simply switch in Flygon or something to block Thunderbolt or Volt Switch, think again - You're getting hit with a Hidden Power Ice instead. Flash Cannon hits... Uhh, I guess Rhyperior? I really don't go for Flash Cannon much.

Mienshao @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Regenerator
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SAtk / 252 Spd
Naive Nature
- Hi Jump Kick
- Stone Edge
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- U-turn

Scarf Mienshao is a beast in UU. It outspeeds the entire tier and even quite a few opposing Scarfed Pokemon, and is at the same time one of the few Pokemon that can reliably revenge kill Dragon Dance Scrafty. Heracross gets Moxie now, but Mienshao gets Regenerator and U-turn. You can interpret that as "I love using U-turn" (I do, though). Even without a power boost, Hi Jump Kick hits like a truck against anything that doesn't resist it, while Stone Edge hits Pokemon such as Zapdos that do resist it. Stone Edge also hits Chandelure. Hidden Power Ice is only really useful for Gligar, but that's a pretty big deal to me because Gligar can wall Cinccino pretty well.

Roserade_2_by_SailorClef.jpg

Roserade @ Life Orb
Trait: Natural Cure
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature
- Leaf Storm
- Sludge Bomb
- Sleep Powder
- Rest

Offensive Roserade is a beast. It can put things that wanna switch in on it to sleep and hit everything hard with its powerful Leaf Storm, as long as it doesn't resist it. Sludge Bomb is its best option against Flying-types. At the same time, it can use Rest + Natural Cure to stay in the battle longer. I've used Spikes Roserade in UU but I found it underwhelming due to how easy it was to stop it. Spikes Roserade also can't legally use Sleep Powder, which I believe is too good to give up due to its ability to incapacitate a Pokemon for the entire match. Roserade can still function to absorb status thanks to Natural Cure.

----------

Well, that's the team. I hope you enjoyed this RMT and any advice is greatly appreciated.

It is agreat team the only thing I would do is coferigus instead of pain split I would make him learn rest. Just put a lum berry. Also Meinshao get rid of choice scarf for focus sash and make him relearn fake out instesd of hp. Other than that it is a good team. 7.5/10

not sure if srs or trolling

Rest is a no-no on Cofagrigus on this team. I do not have Umbreon, meaning Rest is nowhere near as effective. Mienshao NEEDS the Choice Scarf, besides, Focus Sash is a shitty item. Fake Out is also a shitty move.

If you're using Magneton to try to get Steels out of the way for Cincinno then you should definitely use Eviolite and Magnet Rise. Sure you lose some power, but now Bronzong is total dead weight on your opponents team. Just use Magnet Rise over Flash Cannon (since you don't use it anyway apparently) and watch Bronzong's sit there and do nothing to you with Gyro Ball or Psychic while you chip away at it.

Very cool team, LucaroarkZ. Cinccino & Magneton is certainly an awesome combo. I initially thought that you'd want Magnet Rise to better deal with Bronzong, but Modest Specs Magneton wrecks physically defensive variants so nvm. If you end up trying Magnet Rise, though I suggest coupling it with Metal Sound or Charge Beam @ Eviolite.

You can consider King's Rock on Cinccino, btw. It gives each hit a flinch chance, so all 5 hits in a single turn would amount to a 41% chance of flinch, which is just ballsy. If you're not a fan of LO U-turns, this may be a good option.

Another thing you may not have considered is trying Reckless on your Scarf Mienshao. Unlike LO, Scarfers don't wear down as fast; being a Fighting-type also makes Mienshao resistant to SR, so the residual damage is lessened. Regeneration is still a god-tier ability, but Reckless may provide that 30% power in its HJK to really tear through teams. To illustrate, Regenerator HJK fails to OHKO Flygon (82-97%), whereas Reckless HJK is virtually an OHKO (99-116%). Regenerator HJK does (81-96%) to Raikou whereas Reckless does 97-115% (87.5% chance of OHKO). Now Nidoking can't come in on a HJK, cuz it's 2HKOed; same story for Heracross. With a team with 0 entry hazards, the extra power would come in really handy.

Reckless on Scarf Mienshao is a great idea, yes. Regenerator has helped me out exactly never. I probably won't end up using King's Rock on Cinccino because I feel that with only 95 base Attack, it really needs the Life Orb. I'll probably end up testing Magnet Rise Magneton @ Eviolite as well; Specs Thunderbolt only 2HKOes Bronzong so Magnet Rise would definitely help.

Thanks for the rate!

Hey LucaroarkZ, cool team and props on using Cinccino, since it's definitely one of the most underrated pokemon in the game right now!

Onto the rate, your team has a large weakness to Sharpedo, as nothing on your team can take an attack from him. The best way of handling Sharpedo without changing your team much would be using Offensive Shaymin over Roserade. Shaymin can still put a lot of pressure on the opponent team just like Roserade did, but it's far more bulky, meaning it can act as a check to Sharpedo and other water-type pokemon like Slowbro.

Shaymin@Life Orb | Natural Cure
Timid Nature | 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Seed Flare / Psychic / Earth Power / Rest

Another change I would consider is using Nasty Plot + Trick Room Cofagrigus instead of your current set, as it just slows down the fast, hard hitting pace it has. Trick Room can act as a failsafe whenever some pokemon is giving you troubles, as well as allowing Cofagrigus to sweep teams along Nasty Plot.

Cofagrigus@Leftovers | Mummy
Quiet Nature | 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpA
Nasty Plot / Shadow Ball / Hidden Power Fighting / Trick Room

Hope I helped! :)

You should really replace Rest on Roserade with another coverage move like HP Fire. Rest would be a fine move, but you only really have two pokemon that you can bring in to take hits (Cofag/Snorlax). Using rest essentially forces you to switch out and is a useless moveslot some of the time as Roserade does not have the best defenses.

Your team really isnt reaching its full potential without entry hazard support. With Cincinno and mienshao utilizing u-turn and Magneton using volt switch, you have many opportunities to take the momentum. With hazards, those moves become exponentially better. you can really wear down your opponent and eventually they won't have anything to take hits from Mienshao or Cincinno. I can't really suggest a pokemon for your team that set ups rocks without ruining its synergy.

I suggest you use support omastar over roserade.
Here's the set(cut out of smogon):

Name Item Nature
SupportLeftovers Bold
Moveset EVs 252HP 252Def 4SpD
