So yeah, tried making a sandstorm team and this is what I got :

248.png

Tyranitar @ Smooth Rock
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpD
Impish Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Crunch
- Ice Beam
- Earthquake

Good Ol'Tyrannitar, he acts as the sand setup and as the dragon hunter. And sweeps if he has the chance.

445.png

Garchomp @ Garchompite
Ability: Rough Skin
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Hasty Nature
- Dragon Claw
- Swords Dance
- Flamethrower
- Earthquake
The star of the show ! M-Garchomp here acts as the main sweeper, he can set up on other pokemons thanks to his decent bulk and with the help of Tyrannitars sand, he just wrecks teams if given the chance.

479-wash.png

Rotom-Wash @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Levitate
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Thunder Shock
- Volt Switch
- Will-O-Wisp
- Hydro Pump

He's the scout. Nothing else needed.

472.png

Gliscor @ Toxic Orb
Ability: Poison Heal
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 244 HP / 28 Def / 236 Spe
Impish Nature
- Substitute
- Toxic
- Protect
- Earthquake
Gliscor is kinda the pokemon who works everywhere.. He IS good for sure but he doesn't have an actual purpose in the team excpet pissing off people.

227.png

Skarmory @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP / 232 Def / 24 Spe
Impish Nature
- Roost
- Whirlwind
- Brave Bird
- Defog
Skarmory is the hazard remover and counters a few threats who are trying to set up with whirlwind. He also acts as a physical tank because damn dog look at dat bulk !

448.png

Lucario @ Life Orb
Ability: Justified
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Close Combat
- Iron Tail
- Bullet Punch
- Ice Punch
On this team, Lucario acts as the main counter to many weaknesses my team has and functions as a late game sweeper.

I feel like this team could be better because i've got this huge weakness to ice and special attackers but i have no idea who to put in...
Thanks for your help and advice !

Hello! I like your team, and I have a few suggestions:
  • Just as a note, your topic may be locked if you don't have at least 3 lines of description for each Pokemon. Check here to see the RMT Rules.
  • I'm curious as to why you're using Thunder Shock on Rotom-W? It's completely outclassed by Thunderbolt, so you should probably go for T-Bolt over T-Shock. Also, I think you should go for a more defensive spread (like 252 HP/212 Def/44 Spe) and go for Leftovers over Choice Scarf. Since you noted that Rotom-W is a scout, you want it to stay in as much as possible. Also, Choice Scarf Will O' Wisp is NOT your friend.
  • On Tyranitar, I would look into replacing Earthquake with Fire Blast. This is because, as you noted, you have a huge weakness to Ice and Fire Blast would help counter this.
  • You may want to look into replacing Iron Tail with Extreme Speed on Lucario. Extreme Speed is a great tool for Lucario to revenge-kill and rack up some damage on faster threats or +1 priority users. I would replace Iron Tail only because you have Bullet Punch, Close Combat is Lucario's irreplaceable STAB, and Ice Punch is needed to hit Pokemon like Landorus-I and Gliscor hard.
  • Since you noted that your team has issues with special attackers, maybe switch Skarmory with Excadrill?
    Excadrill @ Assault Vest
    Ability: Sand Force/Sand Rush
    EVs: 120 HP / 136 Atk / 252 SpD
    Adamant Nature
    - Rapid Spin
    - Earthquake
    - Iron Head
    - Rock Slide
This set takes advantage of Excadrill's great bulk and allows it to tank special attackers. Sand Force and Sand Rush are interchangeable, although Sand Force is preferred due to it being like Life Orb without the recoil in sand. Rapid Spin is for hazard control, and is useful because you have your own hazards to be set up and you don't want to Defog them away. Earthquake and Iron Head are great Sand Force-boosted STABs, and Rock Slide is also boosted and a great coverage move.
Good luck! =)

Okay, so this team could use some work. Mega Garchomp is not that good of a physical sweeper because it lacks the speed to pull it off. If you are looking to sweep or clean with Garchomp, you would be better off with a regular Swords Dance Garchomp. However, under sand, Mega Garchomp is a solid wallbreaker who can help break down a lot of Lucario's checks (most notably Landorus-T and Slowbro) for it to sweep. Due to this, I would recommend a full mixed Mega Garchomp set.

Garchomp @ Garchompite
Ability: Rough Skin
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SAtk / 252 Spe
Naughty Nature
- Draco Meteor
- Fire Blast
- Stone Edge
- Earthquake

Do not bother with Flamethrower, Rock Slide, or Dragon Pulse, Garchomp misses out on a lot of power that it needs to break walls (Dragon Pulse doesn't even 2HKO Slowbro after Stealth Rock).

Lucario cleans best if it has access to Swords Dance + Extremespeed (over Iron Tail and Ice Punch on this team), which helps it a lot when sweeping, as Extreme Speed allows it to beat Talonflame, who would normally steamroll right through it. Bullet Punch is still useful for Gengar and Mega Aerodactyl, and extra coverage isn't needed when Garchomp breaks almost all of Lucario's checks.

Lucario @ Life Orb
Ability: Justified
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Close Combat
- Extreme Speed
- Bullet Punch
- Swords Dance

Now this team needs some support so it is not steamrolled by the likes of Keldeo, Azumarill, and the like. Since your team looks like it is meant to be a balanced team, I will intend it to keep it that way. I was going to recommend having the other half of the team go Slowbro + Ferrothorn + Latias to keep it balanced, as this team looks like it is supposed to be, but then your team is ran over by the likes of Mega Gardevoir and Pinsir, and it would really help to have another rater look at this, so I will take a refrain from giving you a full rate for now.
