Ninetales (M) @ Chesto Berry
Trait: Drought
EVs: 248 HP / 8 SDef / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Flamethrower
- Toxic
- Rest
- Protect

Well, Ninetails. Ninetails, Ninetails, Ninetails. I really hate Ninetails. It a staple on sun teams because of Drought, but it really can't do much else other than set drpught up. I'm running this set to attempt to get some OKHOs with Overheat, but it isn't working very well. It can usually kill Tyranitar, and easily kills Abamasnow, but every time i run into a Politoed, not only do I have to switch out Ninetails, but my next pokemoon, Sawsbuck, is always burned by scald, because the hax goddess hates me, and Venusaur cant fire off a solarbeam without the Sun.

Venusaur (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Chlorophyll
EVs: 36 HP / 252 SAtk / 220 Spd
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Growth
- Energy Ball
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Sludge Bomb

Ninetails may have its faults, but Venusaur makes it all worthwhile. I have swept entire teams with only one growth. Chlorophyll is amazing on it.
These new EVs make it out speed Choice Scarf Garchomp.

Swampert (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Torrent
EVs: 240 HP / 216 Def / 52 SDef
Relaxed Nature (+Def, -Spd)
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- Ice Beam
- Roar

Swampert is the one no one expects. Its bulk is gladly taken on this team, and stealth rocks really help with my sweeping. I really love this pokemon on this team.

Sawsbuck (M) @ Life Orb
Trait: Chlorophyll
EVs: 76 HP / 252 Att / 180 Spe
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Swords Dance
- Horn Leech
- Double Edge
- Jump Kick

This is my physical sweeper... i like it because it benefits from the sun, but i kinda wish both my sweepers weren't grass type. There isnt much else to say...
These new EVs allow it to outspeed Choice Scarf Starmie under the sun.

Rotom-H @ Choice Scarf Trait: Levitate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Overheat
- Thunderbolt
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Trick

This is my choice scarf/revenge killer, although i just realized that i should probably run a choicer that can take out all of the other weather leads... hmm... well ill dont know which pokemon can do this so plz give me some suggestions. the pokemon would have to be a good revenge killer outside of the weather inducers, too.

I changed Chandelure to Rotom-W to give it a better ability to KO weather inducers.

Arcanine_sprite_by_mvidmaster.png

Arcanine (M) @ Choice Band
Trait: Flash Fire
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Flare Blitz
- Crunch
- Close Combat
- Extreme Speed

This is Arcanine. He's kind of just a filler, since i couldn't think of anything else to put in. He hets a big boost to flare blitz in the sun, which makes it ko lots of things, especially with flash fire coming in on a fire attack aimed at venusaur or sawsbuck.
Benlisted told me this set, and I really like it. The Band gives it a bunch of power and makes it fit better on my team than it had.

A fair few bits of advice for you.

Ninetales really doesn't like Choice Specs - as you say it simply isn't powerful enough to grab any important OHKOs with any of its moves barring STAB, which is easily resisted. Moreover, locking yourself in makes you more likely to have to switch out and take SR damage, as well as being maimed by TTar's pursuit. The best Tales sets don't try and cause direct damage too much, they concentrate on dealing with her counters and surviving as long as possible to set Sun as many times as needed.

ChestoRest is undoubtedly the set with best survivability, since it essentially gives you two full heals (albeit being asleep after the second). Sub+HP Fight lets you take down Heatran (and TTar if you also use WoW), two of your biggest counters. Sub+Protect could be used to attempt some Toxic stalling, and Toxic alone serves nicely to incapacitate Politoed and special sweepers. Whichever defensive direction you try (and I really recommend you do) go with Timid and 180 Spe EVs (184 with HP Fight) to let you revenge Excadrill. 248 HP is normally a good idea for max durability whilst not having even HP (for more switches into SR). The rest can go in SpD or SpA depepnding on the set. If not using Chesto berry go with lefties.

Your whole problems with Venusaur would be solved if you swapped SolarBeam for Energy Ball. You don't gain anything by sticking with it - no significant things are OHKOd by SolarBeam and not by Energy Ball, and being able to blast Politoed and similar mons outside of Sun is incredibly valuable to Venusaur, as currently under Rain your Saur is entirely useless, which is never something you want. Now, in order to better sweep (notice how all those Dragons have been walling you with just Fire and Grass hits?) use Sludge Bomb over Sleep Powder. There's no point putting something to sleep when at +2 you can simply OHKO the entire meta but Blissey, Heatran and Chandelure -Sludge Bomb OHKOs Latios, Dragonite, Salamence and similar, who otherwise also wall you. You also don't need to run max speed, look at the speed tiers here and pick something you want to beat.

Swampert is an unusual choice but I can actually see him working - nothing runs HP Grass anymore and he deal with TTar, Dragons and Heatran nicely. However just because he kills Dragons doesn't mean you should drop Sludge Bomb from Saur - a bulkymence will still be able to stall out Ice Beam and prevent Swampert from dealing with it, as will Specs Latios or 100% health DNite.

Sawsbuck looks fine, again you don't need max Spe on him (and can run Double-Edge over Return to OHKO Latios with SR damage if you invest the spare EVs in HP. One other consideration if you have troubles with status is Aromatherapy over Swords Dance, letting you heal your team and yourself but obviously not go on more than a clean-up sweep.

Chandelure without Shadow Tag performs awfully when Scarfed, it's just the biggest Pursuit bait ever, and given Sun already hates TTar this isn't a good thing. If you want to keep it I advise a Sub+3 Atks set, letting it nuke whatever tries to come in and Pursuit it or predict its attack, which is always fun. However as your Fight weakness isn't bad at all, I'd actually take your own advice and try out something which can take out the other weather inducers. Rotom-H serves nicely for this duty, having Levitate to take Ground hits, and with Overheat/Thunderbolt/HP Fight he can nicely take on all weather leads but Hippowdon. Specs with Trick may be a good Choice to help you cripple the annoying Blissey, but Scarf could be used if you need the speed, or a Pain Split set is an option for survivability.

Arcanine is an awesome asset to Sun teams, but he's more utility than an outright sweeper. Crunch>Wild Bolt deals with Chandelure who otherwise may pose you problems, and Extremespeed instead works wonders for revenging out of control Genies, Latios and the like. CB is advisable for the awesome power it gives and to reduce the recoil Flare Blitx causes, as is Adamant, since there's rarely an opportuinty to use Morning Sun. However, if you feel he adds little to your team, I'd strongly advise running a Rapid Spinner in this slot, perhaps Hitmontop who maintains a powerful CC as well as the possibility of Mach Punch, since your team is weak to SR.

Good luck and hope this helps.

Hello ioliolk, this team will struggle against other weather teams, especially the one that is the most common, sandstorm. Although you say that your Rotom-H can take out other weather abusers, which is true to some extent, it loses to the most common one, Tyranitar. This means that pokemon such as Excadrill and Landorus can run rampant on this team if they get set up in the right circumstances. I also notice that you lack a dragon resist, meaning that pokemon such as Life Orb Latios and Garchomp are going to terrorize this team, possibly even with the weather in your advantage. The ability for these pokemon to spam powerful moves such as outrage and draco meteor with almost no drawbacks against this team is what makes it so dangerous. My first suggestion would be that you run a Choice Band Dugtrio over your Rotom-H. This will give you a really good advantage versus sand teams, meaning that you can easily shift the offensive momentum in your favor if you play Dugtrio correctly.

Dugtrio @ Choice Band
Jolly 4 HP | 252 Atk | 252 Spe Arena Trap
Earthquake | Night Slash | Aerial Ace | Stone Edge

Next, I am going to suggest a pokemon that will allow you to switch into pesky dragon types such as LO Latios and Garchomp. Bronzong is a nice choice as it allows you to switch into these two with ease as well as have a backup check to pokemon such as Excadrill and Landorus. Although Bronzong is weak to fire, it won't really make much of a difference as it allows you to check pokemon which wouldn't normally run around in the sun. Swampert would be a great pokemon to replace bronzong with as they both check similar things, so it won't be hurting you much.

Bronzong @ Leftovers
Sassy 252 HP | 168 Def | 88 SpD Levitate
Stealth Rocks | Gyro Ball | Earthquake | Hidden Power [Ice]

As for other options, you could try running Volcarona over your Arcanine. It really is an amazing abuser under the sun and common checks such as Azumarill won't be able to take you down with aqua jet providing you run a bulky enough spread.

Overall this team is pretty solid, gl.

Good luck.

The link doesn't work.

I would really suggest you switch over your HP evs in Venusaur to defense, as it makes for more physical bulk, which Venusaur needs as it soaks up fighting hits.

Also whats with double edge on sawsbuck? Return gets you all the KOs you need, without pointless recoil.

First of all, you need a spinner on a Sun team, especially if half of your team is Fire-type. Your opponent need only set up Stealth Rock to ruin your whole day. It can be hard to find a Spinner that fits well on a sun team, but I find Donphan works best for my needs, and can even set up Stealth Rock itself. Hitmontop is also an option, with the benefit of being able to threaten Tyranitar (and Excadrill, if you carry Mach Punch).

If Rapid Spinners aren't your thing, you can always run Espeon or Xatu with Magic Bounce.

Second order of business:
Having HP Fire on Rotom-H is redundant, it already has Overheat. You'd be better off running HP Fighting for Tyranitar. Also, Venusaur would gain the same benefits from Black Sludge as it would from Leftovers, while being able to punish foes who enjoy using Trick (like the afformentioned Rotom).
