The Swift Winds

Hi this my first time showing off a team. Its a team strategy you don't see every day and considering its effectiveness it can work for surprise value.

Aerodactyl@FocusSash
Ability: Pressure
Jolly:252atk/252spe
Attacks:
Stealth Rock
Stone edge
Taunt
Earthquake

images

Just a standard aerodactyl lead who is mostly there to set up stealth rock. Taunt is to prevent the opposing team from setting up entry hazards, stone edge for reliable stab and earthquake for steel and electric types.

Whimsicott@leftovers
ability: prankster
Careful:252hp/4def/252spd
Attacks:
Tailwind
leech seed
toxic
cotton guard

images

This whimsicott is intended to take hits and wear down an opponents powerful sweeper with max spd and and one cotton guard whimsicott is a potent wall. I picked leech seed mostly because it lets me recover hp and toxic to get at grass types who are immune to leech seed. Last but not least tailwind will be used when whimsicott is ready to die or the opponent sends out something that can ohko whimsicott so that it allows the rest of my team all four turns of tailwind boost.

Salamence@lumberry
Hasty: 252atk/4satk/252spe
ability: Moxie
Attacks:
Dragon claw
earthquake
dragondance
fire blast

images

Now the main poke for my tailwind boost, salamence with a tailwind gets over 600 speed and can outspeed the majority of sweepers who are generally frail. Now the first thing they want to do is send in a wall like ferrothorn or skarmory or blissey to take my hits and status me but with lum berry i can bypass the status and during that turn dragondance. Dragon claw is used for reliable stab and earthquake to hit most steel types hard. fire blast is used for things like skarmory and ferrothorn who wall my other two moves i chosed fireblast over flamethrower cuz fire blast has a better chance of ohkoing skarmory. After just the one kill I get a moxie boost along with the earlier dragondance means I can outspeed many things with a +1 speed.

Scrafty@leftovers
Careful: 252hp/4atk/252spd
Ability: Shed skin
Attacks:
Bulk up
Drain punch
Toxic
Dragon tail

images

The try and true defense bulk up set for scrafty nothing really to do with this teams main use but can be helpful for trying to slowly wear down on any opponent and dragon tail can help to phase out any up and coming fighting or flying types. Drain punch is for reliable stab that will do more damage with more bulk ups. Toxic just thrown in to give status on something.

Scizor@leftovers
Jolly: 128hp/128spd/252spe
Ability: technician
Attacks:
Swords dance
Agility
Bug Bite
Baton pass
Scizor-2.png

Another team member who can abuse tailwind, scizor with max nature and evs in speed + tailwind has over 500 speed and can outpace the majority of the ou metagame but only for four turns at most. During this time scizor can boost up his stats in both attack and speed but really those are meant to go to other pokemon on my team. Cuz scizor only has to worry about fire types I have that covered since by baton passing I can not only switch out to something that resists fire such as salamence they get an attack and/or speed boost since scizor had the chance to at least boost up one of those stats. The only flaw I can find with this scizor is that its screwed if it goes up against a magnazone, but no team is flawless and hopfully something else might have taken out magnazone before I sent out scizor.

Infernape@Lifeorb
Naive:4atk/252satk/252spe
Ability: Blaze
Attacks:
Nasty plot
Flamethrower
Close combat
Grass knot

images

A nasty plot infernape that can deal lots of damage by abusing tailwind aswell. Close combat and flamethrower are reliable stabs, grass knot for bulk water types such as jellicent and nasty plot will be used for when Im facing a blissey of sorts plus tailwind infernape is the second fastest thing on my team.

So what do you think? I know that there are some glaring weaknesses.
But it is meant to surprise unprepared teams and can be troublesome for some that are prepared. So what do you think? Give me your honest opinions but don’t be rude please I have different teams as well but this one is to take advantage of the fact that it isn’t seen to often.

I seriously don't know why you would put max speed Jolly Scizor + Tailwind + Agility then your only attack is a priority. Isn't that a little redundant? I would put Bug Bite if I were you. Also, the set up move on Salamence is also redundant. You already have Scizor to patch that up. I recommend Fire Blast to you Ape to max out damage and to score important KOes. One last thing, it's Stealth Rock, not rockS

Scizor isn't meant to be an attacker hes supposed to be my stat booster since tailwind last only for 4 four turns I want scizor to atleast get an attack and or speed boost so that I can baton pass it away plus scizors only weakness is fire which both salamence and infernape resist so when I baton pass I baton pass to either one of them.

And salamence with dragondance is a back up in case scizor is killed by something and I don't have life orb or a choice band so salamences moves won't do so much.
