So it all started with a friendly match vs K-12,and i was impressed on how weird and effective his team was xD...but the main pokemon that caught my eye was the Deoxys-D....i didnt expect it to work so good so imma say that i kinda copy it xD

386_d.gif

Deoxys-D @ Rocky Helmet Trait: Pressure
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Recover
- Taunt
- Spikes
- Stealth Rock
The main pokemon on my team.this is my hazard setter(pretty obvious lol) and it does great :D...i really like it since it can take physical attackers like if they where nothing...taunt dnite and so on and get up recoil damage on my opponent with the rocky helment...and just recover off the damage :D

248.gif

Tyranitar (F) @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Sand Stream
EVs: 192 Atk / 64 SAtk / 252 Spd
Naive Nature (+Spd, -SDef)
- Fire Blast
- Ice Beam
- Crunch
- Superpower
this Ttar is the most exotic thing on my team and it does great...i recommend it to everyone and maybe i might even post it on the [GT] thingy or damn i forgot how u call it xD..but oh well it does great...it outspeeds terrakion and other of tyranitars common threats and hit them hit the apropiate move..i dumped everything on speed..the 64 evs the mixed attacker one uses to OHKO gliscor with ice beam and the rest was dumped up on attack...(it has like 90%+ to 2KO CM Reuniclus)and naive nature just so nothing that is important is lowered :D

645.gif

Landorus (M) @ Expert Belt
Trait: Sand Force
EVs: 228 Atk / 28 SAtk / 252 Spd
Naive Nature (+Spd, -SDef)
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge
- U-turn
- Hidden Power [Ice]

well with landorus no one really expects it to me expert belt and my ttar scarf so its kind of a mind game right there lol...dont really have to explain much this set but it hits many things that might cause problems on my team :D

479-w.gif

Rotom-W @ Leftovers
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SAtk / 4 SDef
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Pain Split
- Hydro Pump
- Volt Switch
- Will-O-Wisp
it adds really useful resistances to my team that without it,water types WILL cause trouble to my team...added max hp since i really dont think imma need the speed investment...if someone could give me a bulkier spread that hits hard i would be more than happy :D

579.gif

Reuniclus (F) @ Life Orb
Trait: Magic Guard
EVs: 192 HP / 64 Def / 252 SAtk
Quiet Nature (+SAtk, -Spd)
- Trick Room
- Psychic
- Focus Blast
- Shadow Ball
after hazards support it can be a great late game sweeper in my opinion..and helps my team overcome faster opponents thanks to trick room..and hazards dont bother it since magic guard...its a really good overall poke and i think people should use it more often(sub hydreigon does wonders too! js...)

212.gif

Scizor (F) @ Choice Band
Trait: Technician
EVs: 212 HP / 252 Atk / 44 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Bullet Punch
- U-turn
- Superpower
- Pursuit
scizor adds key resistances to my team that would otherwise cause me alot of trouble..and also helps me deal with faster annoying ass pokemon such as terrakion that otherwise might cause me trouble as the battle goes on....the evs i gave it are meant to outspeed defensive politoed(177 speed) and the rest was dumped up on HP to maintain its bulk :D (334 HP) and helps me scout with u turn...and i think thats it lol

im looking forward for your opinions about my team and hope they will come in handy..and sorry for the RMT its my first RMT and also im not good at explaining so if it bothers you im sorry xD....but oh well the main weaknesses i have seen is volcarona(hp ice one after a quiver) and gengar (even though i can deal with it)...thanks for reading this and i hope i can have a great time on the smogon community and contribute to the community atleast with something lol

Awh, i hope this ttar doesnt get popular and well known as i am one of the few who uses something very close to this. i just have earthquake>superpower on my ttar for jirachi.

I love it when people try to ohko my ttar with their +2 gliscor but end up raging about how i am a noob for using scarf on a ttar with ice beam.
And i prefer pursuit>crunch because with a scarf you are guaranteed to ohko many prominent threats if they are weakened enough via hazards( like around 50-60% hp).

Hello. This is a pretty good team.

There is one major change that I would recommend. I suggest replacing reuniclus with gyarados or heatran. Reuniclus is yet another psychic type, and with deoxys-d, he compounds your weakness to volcarona, scrafty, and other nasty dark or bug pokemon. Considering the fact that there are better options for your team, as landorus is pretty much all the clean-up that sandstorm teams need, and you also have scarftar, I suggest replacing him with something more beneficial to your team. Gyarados is a great volcarona check, and can work off of many powerful attacking options so he doesn't instantly fall victim to sub disable gengar. If you are really, really worried about him, you can use the moxie sweeper set.

130.gif

Gyarados
252 Atk, 252 Speed | Adamant | Life Orb / Leftovers | Moxie
~Waterfall
~Stone Edge
~Earthquake
~Dragon Dance

Waterfall is obligatory STAB, and is great in tandem with dragon dance. Stone Edge provides even better coverage against volcarona, and can be used against gengar in a pinch. Earthquake is recommended in the third slot for completing the EdgeQuake combo as well as hitting steel and electric types super effectively. Dragon Dance is for boosting and sweeping. This particular set is also a decent stall breaker due to the fact that he can boost his attack just by killing one of their pokemon, meaning if they only have one dedicated wall to gyarados, you can weaken it enough to where the opposing team will not be able to stop gyarados because they cannot inflict enough damage fast enough to kill him.

If you don't think gengar is too troublesome for gyarados, you can use a different set.

56 HP, 248 Atk, 204 Speed | Adamant | Intimidate / Moxie | Leftovers
~Waterfall
~Stone Edge / Earthquake
~Substitute
~Dragon Dance

This is like the first set, except more bulky, as well as using substitute to block nasty status. Waterfall is obligatory STAB. Stone Edge gets great coverage along with waterfall, and is preferred because it provides a second move with which to hit gengar with. Earthquake can be used if you have problems with pokemon such as jirachi. Substitute is used to tank attacks and block status. Dragon Dance is obviously used to set up and sweep. The speed evs allow gyarados to outspeed base 115 pokemon after a dragon dance. Either intimidate or moxie can be used on this set. Intimidate can be used to set up on more stuff, or moxie can be used to sweep better after setting up. (After two dragon dances, he pretty much outspeeds most most the stuff seen in OU, and after a kill, he will probably sweep.) Gyarados is also great against rain teams, due to the fact that not every rain pokemon resists waterfall, which is boosted by the rain.

If gyarados does not interest you and you feel that you can live with another water weakness, heatran can be used instead. The basic specially defensive set with air balloon allows him to wall most every volcarona seen in OU.

Here is the set:

485.gif

248 HP, 252 Sp. Def, 8 Speed | Calm | Air Balloon
~Lava Plume
~Roar
~Protect
~Toxic / Will-O-Wisp

This is the specially defensive set. Lava Plume is obligatory STAB, and the burn chance is very nice. Roar is for phasing purposes, and can be used to constantly impale volcarona on hazards, then you can revenge kill the fire moth with scizor's bullet punch after one or two volcarona switch-ins. It is also great for spreading the damage that stealth rock and three layers of spikes can bring.
Protect is for scouting purposes, allowing you to see what move certain choiced Pokémon choose. It also works great in tandem with toxic. Toxic is for slowly destroying pokemon with poison, and works great if the pokemon has switched in on your hazards a lot. Toxic is also great for stall teams, as most pokemon on stall teams don't enjoy getting badly poisoned. Will-O-Wisp can be used if you don't like lava plume's burn chances, and wish to insta-burn certain threats to your team. If you decide to use this, flamethrower or fire blast can be used over lava plume, as will-o-wisp already burns stuff.

You can choose either of these two pokemon (I would recommend gyarados the most.) in order to combat your volcarona weakness, as well as somewhat replacing reuniclus's role of stall breaker.

If all else fails, you can equip landorus with a choice scarf to revenge kill +1 Volcarona with stone edge, or, if he's weakened enough, earthquake.

Hope this helps and good luck with the team!!

Nice team here. It seems like a pretty effective offensive team, but stuff like volcarona and teams that have a stall archetype are going to give your team a bit of trouble. Volcarona can gain a quiver dance on something like scizor and outrun your entire team after a single boost, destroying most of it pretty easily. The easiest way to fix this would probably just switch landorus' item to a choice scarf. Although tyranitar would also be packing a choice scarf at this point, it really isn't redundant at all. Dual scarfers can check most offensive threats in the tier and will provide you a safety net against boosting sweepers and the like. Even with landorus' item as a choice scarf, your team is still pretty susceptible to entry hazards. At this point, recommend that you run mix mence over your reuniclus. Mixed salamence is excellent in terms of breaking stall cores. The common steel types such as ferrothorn and skarmory stand no chance against it and it has the ability to 2hko blissey. A set of draco meteor / fire blast / roost / brick break, naive nature, life orb, and a spread of 72 atk / 252 spa / 184 spe is the optimal nature on mixmence.

Although you will still have to play pretty carefully, I think that salamence is a good addition to this team over reuniclus. Maybe consider running a swords dance scizor over your current choice banded version. Swords dance scizor will allow for you to weaken up steels such as skarmory allowing for landorus / tyranitar to clean up the opposing team. I'd recommend a set of swords dance / bug bite / bullet punch / superpower, life orb, and either an adamant or jolly nature. I'd also run maximum attack and speed as well. Overall, it's just easier to pressure skarmory and gliscor as well as other members of a defensive team, which is extremely useful as you have a hard time touching it otherwise.

Hi Morgenstern,

This team looks very solid already so it doesn't need many changes. However, you're weak to Volcarona (as you have already noticed), so you could use Terrakion over Landorus, as it stills break defensive cores but it can also check Volcarona if Sandstorm is in play. Here's the set:

Terrakion@Rock Gem | Justified
Jolly Nature | 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Swords Dance / Close Combat / Stone Edge / Substitute

I would also consider using Pursuit over Fire Blast or Crunch on Tyranitar as it allows you to take out Starmie, which means your hazards won't be spun later on the battle.
