Okay I wanna adress this just to avoid any confusion. I think it's pretty clear that I should be given an activity win- I didn't try snag anything so please just let it go.
1. early r4 week i ask him directly for an extension since my last week was pretty fucked up for many reasons, mainly school
2. he gladly accepts saying he won't pull an activity win against a friend
3. someday later i indeed confirm that i can't be playing on the weekend and he is okay with that
4. monday extension starts, as far as i knew he was able to play and we had until wednesday. I ask him to play on wednesday as it is a day where i can adapt my timezone the best towards his needs.
5. he replies saying he couldn't make wednesday, a day I could literally be on at any time.
6. his reply comes at night for me so I wake up and see this and answer immediately. I say that Tuesday is the only shot we have at this and that I want to play. I specify the time I can play on but what happens is that he stops replying.
7. At this point i PM melee mewtwo about the situation. I emphazise on the fact that I do not want to get coinflipped and that I will be trying my best getting the game done but I also understand that extending an extension is not an option.
8. I am getting near deadline on wednesday and I am granted the activity win after it has been crossed.
9. Two days after this happened he VMs me acting like my last VM didn't existed. Being rather inconcrete saying "we should play soon" I reply that I have been given the win and explain the situation. Drama starts.
I wanna point out that no drama exists from both sides. I have been as mature as possible. I tried handling my shitty week by very early asking for extension. This should in no way put me at some activity disadvantage when my opponent accepts. I knew long in advance how my week looked like and I made damn sure that my opponent knew about it.
Also, I didn't really wanna go down this route but look at the VM conversiation and you can clearly see how is trying to be concrete, set up times, extensions, fix it when the other player says he can't make a day. You can also see that one of us likes to tip-toe around actually setting up days/times, answering slower. I'm not a dick, this descision is fully warranted and I have in no way been trying to snake my way getting an activity win. It was just that my opponent couldn't play on the last day of extension, couldn't answer my VM in less that 3 days and totally missed extension deadline. The descision is clear to me, I don't see any drama or any inconsistencies and there is no reason for my win to be reverted.
sorry for the shitty typing, i was posting from my phone.
