The Unsung Heroes: A UU RMT

I decided to take my UU team (decent record on shoddy) and revamp it a bit.

Yanmega (M) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Speed Boost
EVs: 6 Def/252 SAtk/252 SDef
Modest nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Protect
- Bug Buzz
- Air Slash
- Hidden Power [Ground]
I've tried a bunch of different leads for this team (moltres, roserade, uxie, mespirit), and so far, Yanmega seems to be the efective. I use him to set up a good lead sweep and help my team out. Protect screws over Ambipom hoping for a Fake out flinch, and also gives me a speed boost to help outspeed most UU leads (save for Roserade). Bug Buzz and Air Slash are for STAB. I originally tried Hypnosis in the last slot, but its pitiful acuracy screwed me over in a lot of circumstances. HP ground works better to suprise the Steelix or Registeel that try to switch into this set.

moltres.png

Moltres @ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 248 HP/148 Def/112 Spd
Bold nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Flamethrower
- Roost
- Substitute
- Toxic
Fills my staller role. Basically start off with a toxic, and then substitute to run down their HP, with occasonal roosts along the way. The stealth rock weakness is annoying, but a roost to start fixes it. Flamethrower is really useful if my opponent is weak to fire or at low hp. This set has some trouble against rest users, but pressure does wonders.

feraligatr.png

Feraligatr (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Torrent
EVs: 6 HP/252 Atk/252 Spd
Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Waterfall
- Ice Punch
- Earthquake
- Dragon Dance/Swords Dance (not sure which yet)
My physical sweeper, and a damn good one at that. Dragon dance/Swords Dance once or twice, than I waterfall my enemies to hell. Ice Punch is really useful for random grass types that try and switch in, and earthquake is useful for poison types and what not. Torrent and Waterfall make for really good sweeping.

mismagius.png

Mismagius (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 48 HP/252 Spd/208 SAtk
Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Calm Mind
- Shadow Ball
- Thunderbolt
- Substitute
My wall breaker. I send him in on something that he scares, than substitute on the switch out. Calm mind when they break my sub, and sweep with shadow ball. Thunderbolt works for normal types that hope to absorb a shadow ball.

donphan.png

Donphan (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP/128 Atk/128 Def
Impish nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Rapid Spin
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge
- Stealth Rock
I originally had Claydol doing this set, but Donphan works so much better when he dropped to UU. Stealth Rock is a given. Rapid spin to sweep away opposing SR. Earthquake is my main STAB move, and Stone Edge is for flying types that try to absorb an earthquake. Not so sure about my EVs yet though, suggestions would be nice.

medicham.png

Medicham (M) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Pure Power
EVs: 6 HP/252 Atk/252 Spd
Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Brick Break
- Psycho Cut
- Ice Punch
- Thunderpunch
The sweeper noone expects. Scarfed Medicham will outspeed 95% of UU, and Pure power brings its attack to sky high levels. Brick Break and Psycho Cut are normal STAB moves. IP and TP are really useful for type coverage. Most people expect a Banded Medicham, but Scarf throws them off.

First off I've got to say, GO RAVENS!! I'm a huge fan as i am from baltimore. Anyway back on topic, your yanmega lead is very susceptible to the oh-so-common arcanine lead. You may think of this as no problem with focus sash, but all lead arcanines come with extreme speed, which will quickly dispatch yanmega after taking a full on flare blitz. Moltres and Feraligatr could make good switch ins, but most like to run HP grass and toxic, which can lay some serious hurting down on the rest of your team. Also, i would recomend maybe including a bit more descriptions, like how the members of your team work together, a little more on their roles, and maybe even a way to deal with common UU threats. I hope I helped, and I'll see you around the shoddy UU!
