whats the point if I can’t catch the pokemon??? The items you get from the raid aren’t even that rare or Good to begin with.

The Urshifu event is so lame

Someone has not followed many SwSh "raid events" I guess, since the previous ones featuring legendaries were the same.
These events are mainly designed to give players a challenge and a reason to play with friends (the mewtwo and zeraora raids in the past were pretty monkaS and kinda required to go there with a plan), though in general the hype has long died down and I don't see them bringing players back to the gen 8 games anyway.

At the very least they could have very high catch rates, or they could program it so you could only catch one.
The problem is that after Mewtwo and Zeraora raids. There has not been more "boss battle" raid. I think they delegated it to always available Max Lair if you want boss battle goodness.
I thought the main problem was that uncatchable events need something else very compelling in order to make them worthwhile. Mewtwo had huge amounts of rare items if you could defeat it, while Zeraora of course was a Mythical and had the whole "we'll distribute the first-ever Shiny Zeraora if this raid gets popular enough". This Urshifu event doesn't seem to have any of that, judging by the rewards.
