@Jibaku was posting some calcs for defensive Ho-Oh, so he and I decided to soft reset for Impish and Careful natures respectively and we got both within hours of each other. This must be some good omen!
This is untrained (only leveled up enough to learn Recover). However, Jibaku has suggested a pretty nice EV spread for this Careful Ho-Oh: 252 HP / 192 Def / 60 SpD / 4 Spe. This allows Ho-Oh to survive a Kyogre Origin Pulse IN THE RAIN and two Kangaskhan Double-Edges when it gets Intimidated (hint: sounds like a job for Salamence or Landorus-T
