Banned deucer.
u guys nintendo announce a newgen console calledthe Switch 2 ,,, it also showed mario kart -9,

what predictions do u have for the switch 2? it can be about games, features, anything,,,,

i think they will have a miiverse revival since ik lots of people want it back

what about u?

i hope devs actually use the expanded power of the switch 2 instead of just being comfy with where things are at

also please please please make a pikmin 5, hell id even be willing to take a pikmin 4 remaster if it had a bunch of bonus content and fixed some of its major issues (sorry oatchi, but ur op af (also fuck auto lock-on, the lock-on in pikmin 3 dx was perfectly good))

Mario Kart 8 again. Another Pokémon game that manages to fail my low expectations. Controller drift after 6 months that Nintendo refuses to fix. Probably some kind of 2.5 D Mario that will get 10/10 reviews despite being exactly the same as its predecessors. No F-Zero games.
have hope u guyz... ik that nintendo has let us down before but have faith i have a great feeling about this console

i agree u guyz, maybe they could make cool new features and more data to hold games in system memory

I think simply making a more powerful Switch while addressing some of the issues of the original (stick drift, hopefully, to name one) is a good move. The Switch is so successful and essentially stands in its own niché, separate from Sony and Microsoft, there is no reason to throw it all away to chase gimmicks.

People are complaining about the name, but I don't see why they would throw away the brand recognition of such a successful product. There is a reason we got so many Game Boys and Nintendo wanted to preserve it as a "third pillar" when the DS came out.

Specifically calling it "Switch 2" guarantees no one will be confused over whether this is a new console or an accessory like the Wii U.

The fact that it is backwards compatible is also a fantastic, consumer friendly move I am always happy to see. It is easier to justify swapping out your game box to the new game box when it can play the library of the older model too.

I am guessing that Switch games released in the future will have Switch 2 enhancements at first, similar to the Game Boy cartridges that gained colour when used on a Game Boy Color, or DS games that could use the camera when played on a DSi.

Perhaps existing Switch games can even make use of the better hardware and improve their performance. Perhaps there will be updates to some games to support that. Assuming Switch games are not locked in some Switch emulation mode that caps performance, of course.

Eventually I expect game releases to transition to Switch 2 exclusive, probably after a year or so.

So overall, I think this is a positive announcement. I am not rushing out to pre-order one or anything, but when it has a few decent exclusives under its belt and provided it doesn't have any RRoD tier disasters, I will probably purchase one somewhere down the line. Maybe after a price drop.

Personally I was fancying the idea of a special, zygarde themed version to commemorate pokemon legends za's release, but that would literally turn it into an xbox...

What Switch 2? As far as I know, it hasn't been changed since the beginning. You can't improve perfection.

what is there to predict tbh. we're gonna get mario and zelda and pokemon and splatoon and other franchises like pikmin and metroid will probably get new games too. honestly the most interesting questions are "how is the next paper mario going to work" and "how is the next smash going to feel if sakurai isn't in the design team"

imagine if they put characters from arcsys games into smash. literally any character from any game with akatsuki in it (preferably uni) is going to be an upscale for my glorious king ORT

now that i'm thinking about it they had persona 4 characters in bbtag. and they also had uni characters in it. and uni has eltnam from melty blood as a guest character. which makes persona canon to fate. and then that means every series in smash is canon to fate already. so that means ort is. pretty strong i think.

thank u zelretch

I think the Switch two will be a slightly better version of Switch 1 but still vastly inferior to the steam deck as a handheld. I think the only reason to buy the Switch twowo will be for Nintendo exclusives which is the only reason to buy a Nintendo council in the first place.
