DW OU is on PS (but no one is on the ladder, we should fix that).

The first thing that stands out is 145 SpA: as much as Chandelure. Let's also look at the Nasty Plot and Volt Absorb. I can see the old NP sets being really awesome, but there is that 101 Speed issue to look at. It gets trolled by Garchomp which is unfortunate, but at least it doesn't have 80 like Chandelure. Salac could remedy this, but the difference between it and something like is Garchomp is that Thundurus takes much more from Stealth Rock. However, SubNP hits a lot harder than the normal Thundurus.

A new thing though is Choice: Specs to nuke, and Scarf to fix that 101 Speed. What do you guys think is the best set coverage-wise? Volt Switch is a boon to VoltTurn, kinda. With Thundurus-T, it can stop itself basically, and there's still Raikou. What else deals with Thundurus-T though? etc. GO NEW LADDER IS UP ON PS!

As we've seen in Standard OU, Latias has enough bulk to come in on everything except Volt Switch (just because of the switch-in, not for the damage itself). Can outspeed Thundurus-T and proceed to hurt it. Latios is a more offensive answer, but work equally fine.
Mamoswine resists bolt-beam and can revenge kill it, but has to be aware of the coverage moves.
A more defensive answer to it is Gastrodon, as few Thundurus carry Grass Knot, giving more importance to Focus Miss and its ability to KO Tyranitar.
The usual non-choiced versions of Thundurus are very similar:
- NP/Agility
- Focus Blast/Grass Knot/Substitute
- Thunder(bolt)
- Hidden Power (ice)

Can't think of other good counters.

CB Cinccino can easily revenge it with Rock Blast :3

DW Ditto can revenge-kill the NP sets as well, and Ditto will probably be quite common at least early on in the meta if not throughout all of it.

With the new tutors Thundurus-T might opt for Superpower over Focus Miss on the NP/Agility sets possibly? The better accuracy alone might draw people to it.

Yeh, superpower needs little investment to smash Tyranitar and Blissey so it could be a superior move over focus miss. But now you're walled by Ferrothorn (although it can be disposed with Tornadus-T Heat Wave)
It's to be noted that, with someone that can sponge ice attacks and maybe lure electric o ground attack (i.e. Tentacruel) the two Therian brothers can form a good volt-turn core with their good speed and raw power.

Thundurus-T (M) @ Life Orb
Trait: Volt Absorb
EVs: 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Thunderbolt
- Focus Blast
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Agility

IMO this is one of the better sets. With the modest nature and life orb, there is really no need for Nasty Plot or specs because it still puts out a ton of damage, meaning stall is hard pressed to find a solid answer to this with focus blast doing 37% - 43% to chansey. On the flip side, this set just decimates offense. If you can manage to set up an agility (which really isn't that hard to do considering decent bulk and good ability) this thing can pretty much OHKO most offensive teams with little repercussions, resisting common priority such as mach punch and bullet punch. With the three moves it has perfect neutral coverage (missing out on shedinja of course) meaning anything that switches in will take a huge hit. (Sorry for the poor post quality btw, I was pretty tired when I wrote this)

This thing needs a ton of team support but the Agility set is extremely dangerous. Try using it on a rain team so that you can utilize Thunder with a Life Orb to make up for the weakness that comes from not having Nasty Plot on the set. Any little bit helps, and Agility lets you outspeed Excadrill in sand, as well as Genesect, Scarf Chandelure and Darkrai *coughcough*

You have to take advantage of the things it has over regular Thundurus, which in this case is its unboosted SpAtk. Agility is the only set Thundurus-T can do better than Thundurus.

Scarf seems to be the one thing Thundurus-T has over its regular form but it actually isn't. Scarf Thundurs-T hits harder but doesn't outspeed threats such as Chlorophyll Modest Venusaur, Adamant Excadrill, and anything else similar. It's really a hard decision; the firepower or ability to outspeed neutral speed weather abusers. Agility is definitely the one set Thundurus-T does better. I think the Nasty Plot set will run a bit differently, more so wall breaking than sweeping.
Volt Absorb Raikou is a good offensive check as well, since it can outspeed with HP Ice and Thundurus can only use Focus Blast as its best move. However, Raikou can't switch in freely because it takes heavy damage from Focus Blast, and Superpower. It's kind of hard to say where Thundurus-T is overall. It's not the hardest thing to deal with, but you can't really switch in freely.
