Tier descriptions

On each tier page there should be a brief description of what the tier is. This way it will help people who are new to competitive battling understand what the tiers are. Yes I know common sense should kick in when you read the name but some people require a little more than a name to fully understand. Plus it'll help with people who don't understand why a super-strong Pokemon is UU or NU instead of OU. I've seen a few posts where people ask why a Pokemon isn't OU and they don't quite get that OU doesn't equal Most Powerful Pokemon Ever.

I'm pretty sure people can very easily figure out on their own what Overused, Underused, and Neverused are meant to imply.

Sadly, a lot of people are incapable of this - they see Charizard in NU and are like "NOEZ CHARIZARD IS STRONG WHY NOT OU?" and shit like that.

This might be a good idea, and it doesn't seem like it would take a lot of effort.

A few sentences that state OU, UU and NU are all based on usage, while BL is a banlist for UU and Uber a banlist for OU should be enough for people too realize that tiers are not based on BSTs (which a lot of people assume is directly linked to usability).

Uber said:
These Pokemon are considered too powerful for the Standard Metagame.

OU said:
These Pokemon make up the Standard Metagame. Placement in this tier is usually based on usage stats where each Pokemon appears on one in twenty teams. (correct me if I am wrong)

BL said:
These Pokemon form the banlist of UU. Typically these Pokemon are not used enough in the Standard Metagame, but are too strong for UU.

UU said:
These are Pokemon that do not meet OU usage requirements, but independently form their own balanced Metagame.

Is that something close to what the topic is looking for?

Unfortunately it seems this can't be changed with normal SCMS editing, which means most likely some coding would be involved. I'm not sure how major it would be (probably fairly simple I would guess, but can't be sure), but it's not something that any badged user can just do.

The thing is, no one reads all of the articles on the page (I have to say very little do otherwise they wouldn't think of it that way). They SHOULD read it, but no one does.

This wouldn't be too hard of a change anyway, it's just time issues on the admins to get this done.

@ Junk - That's great. All someone has to do is copy and paste those to their respective Tier pages. This way new players have virtually no excuse for not having basic knowledge of the tiers. Because it'll be in the articles (which they should read) and the very pages they're searching for Pokemon on.

@ Erazor - That Charizard comment is exactly what I'm talking about, thank you.
