[SET COMMENTS]

Timburr has a solid place in LC thanks to its impressive bulk and high Attack stat. Although it suffers competition from Galarian Farfetch'd as an offensive Fighting-type, it finds itself a nice niche thanks to its superior bulk, allowing it to switch into setup sweepers like Onix and Pawniard. It also has access to a priority move in Mach Punch and recovery through Drain Punch. Timburr is also one of the best entry hazard removers in the tier, as it is able to naturally check common entry hazard setters such as Onix, Ferroseed, and Dwebble while also being able to take out Pawniard with Mach Punch, meaning that Timburr is not afraid of the Defiant boost that Pawniard gains from Defog being used against it. Thunder Punch should be used to predict switches to common Fighting-type checks such as Drifloon, Wingull, and Vullaby, as it is able to OHKO Wingull and heavily damage Drifloon and Vullaby.

Timburr is best suited for bulkier teams, as they appreciate Timburr's ability to defensively check setup sweepers such as Onix and Dwebble as well as its ability to revenge kill faster, weakened threats and provide the team with consistent entry hazard removal. Although Timburr can check most of the tier's Stealth Rock and Spikes setters, it dislikes dealing with common Sticky Web and Toxic Spikes setters such as Cutiefly, Koffing, and Mareanie. As such, Pokemon such as Munchlax and Mudbray, which can remove those threats, make great teammates. Ferroseed has brilliant defensive synergy with Timburr, as it's able to switch in on Cutiefly and Mareanie, set Stealth Rock or Spikes, and remove items with Knock Off, making it more difficult for Timburr's checks to switch in while appreciating Timburr's ability to pressure Pawniard and Munchlax. Spritzee also pairs well with Timburr, as it can comfortably check Vullaby and Galarian Farfetch'd, provide Wish support, and potentially act as a cleric with Aromatherapy while appreciating Timburr's ability to deal with Pawniard and Ferroseed. Checks to Oddish such as Drifloon and Vullaby are appreciated, as it's one of the few Pokemon that naturally resist all of Timburr's attacks.

set's fine

Although it suffers competition from Galarian Farfetch'd as an offensive Fighting-type, it finds itself a nice niche thanks to its superior bulk allowing it to switch into setup sweepers like Onix and Pawniard, priority Mach Punch allowing it to revenge kill faster weakened foes and a reliable recovery in Drain Punch.
wouldn't say drain punch is "reliable"; maybe just call it a form of recovery or something similar. i think this should also be reworded a little before it heads to GP. specifically, i think that you can cut out the entirety of "allowing it to revenge kill faster weakened foes", simply highlighting the movepool differences and the difference in bulk.

Timburr is also one of the best hazard removers in the tier as it is able to naturally check common hazard setters such as Onix, Ferroseed, and Dwebble, while also being able to take out Pawniard with Mach Punch, meaning that it's not afraid of the Defiant Boost.
might be worth specifying that where the defiant boost comes from

Timburr's impressive bulk means that it tends to find easy opportunities to switch in on its checks like Ferroseed, Onix, and Pawniard and it can use Drain Punch to recover any HP that it loses when switching in.
not to be particularly nitpicky but this is the third time you have mentioned that it can switch in on onix in 3 sentences. the first half of this sentence can just be removed and the second half can be worked into a different sentence if necessary

Thunder Punch should be used to predict switches to common fighting resists such as Drifloon, Wingull, and Vullaby as it is able to OHKO them, or put them in range of Mach Punch.
it does not ohko any vullaby and does not ohko any drifloon with any amount of defense investment. reword this one with that in mind (also drifloon is immune to mach and wingull resists it so like probably cut that bit unless you believe it is very important to mention)

Timburr tends to find itself best on bulkier teams as they appreciate Timburr's ability to defensively check setup sweepers such as Onix and Dwebble as well as its ability to revenge kill faster, weakened threats and provide the team with hazard removal.
this is probably more of a gp thing but i think this sentence would read much better if it used less "maybe" words in the beginning: "Timburr is best suited for bulkier teams that appreciate..."

also, this set's biggest appeal is consistent hazard removal in comparison to other hazard removal options. i think this is a fair place to put such a comparison. i think it might also be nice to note that timburr does not clear toxic spikes or sticky webs well, as it does not deal with their main setters (mareanie, koffing & cutiefly, dewpider) as effectively as SR/spikes mons.

Ferroseed has brilliant defensive synergy with Timburr as it's able to switch in on Cutiefly and Mareanie, set Stealth Rock or Spikes and remove items with Knock Off, making it more difficult for Timburr's checks to switch in, while appreciating Timburr's ability to pressure Galarian Farfetch'd, Pawniard and Munchlax.
i don't think farf should be mentioned here, since it has brave bird and kinda dunks timburr even with CC. i hate to add another onix mention but that might be better here (or just pawn and lax).

Spritzee also pairs well with Timburr as it can more comfortably check Vullaby and Galarian Farfetch'd, provide Wish support, and potentially act as a cleric with Aromatherapy while appreciating Timburr's ability to deal with Pawniard and Ferroseed.
-more

Checks to Oddish such as Drifloon and Vullaby are appreciated as it's one of the few Pokemon that naturally resist all of Timburr's attacks.
maybe a mention of pawn, ferro over vullaby b/c vulla can be ohkoed by the uncommon moonblast

after you implement these tag me on discord and i'll 1/2

muy buenos días
  • my only issue with this is the following sentence:
“Although Timburr can check most of the tier’s Stealth Rock and Spikes setters, it dislikes dealing with Sticky Web and Toxic Spikes setters such as Cutiefly, Weezing, and Mareanie so a Toxic Spikes Absorber such as Mareanie or Oddish can pair well with Timburr to compensate for this.”

the threats in this sentence are the pokemon that set webs and tspikes, not the webs and tspikes themselves. The sentence would be more clear as follows:

“Although Timburr can check most of the tier’s Stealth Rock and Spikes setters, it dislikes dealing with common Sticky Web and Toxic Spikes setters such as Cutiefly, Weezing, and Mareanie. As such, Pokemon such as Munchlax and Mudbray, which can remove those threats, make great teammates.”

great stuff, 2/2
