[OVERVIEW]

  • Togekiss’ ability Serene Grace and access to moves such as Air Slash, Thunder Wave, Roost, Charm, Nasty Plot, Encore, Substitute, and Fire Blast allows it to win a wide variety of matchups with low opportunity cost for changing sets.
  • Togekiss can run its trademark Choice Scarf set to try and flinch faster Pokemon like Naganadel, Mega Charizard and Zeraora until they faint, or OHKO pokemon like Grenjnja and Ferrothorn with a good range of coverage moves like Dazzling Gleam and Fire Blast, even if they don’t help many matchups.
  • Togekiss’ real power however comes from its sets that abuse Z Status moves, such as Electrium Z Thunder Wave and Fairium Z Charm as they can let Togekiss use its wide movepool and high bulk to minimize risk and ensure most matchups.
  • Togekiss is able to survive many powerful attacks from powerful Pokemon with good investment, such as Choice Specs Greninja Ice Beam, uninvested +2 Mega Gardevoir after Z Thunder Wave, Jolly Choice Scarf Kartana, Mega Charizard X, Genesect, and uninvested Tapu Lele. Surviving these hits is important for Togekiss as it allows it to bully them with Thunder Wave, Air Slash, Roost, Charm, or Substitute
  • Its weakness to common Steel-, Rock-, and Electric-types such as Zeraora, Magnezone, Terrakion, and Magearna can hold it back significantly, as these are common picks into teams that use Togekiss, making it sometimes hard to send out.

Moves
========

  • Air Slash is the most obvious choice of move for Togekiss, as it’s a decently strong STAB move that with Serene Grace has a 60% Chance to flinch. This allows it to hit the majority of the metagame for decent damage, such as Mega Gyarados.
  • Thunder Wave allows Togekiss to essentially double its speed, while adding the chance for full paralysis on top of the flinch chance from Air Slash Mention who you outspeed thanks to twave
  • Z Thunder Wave raises Togekiss’ special defense by one stage, allowing it to survive hits from Pokemon such as Choice Specs Greninja, Choice Scarf Porygon-Z, and I invested Mega Gardevoir on later turns after using Roost.
  • Roost allows Togekiss to create an HP buffer that allows it to survive attacks if the opponent is able to move, and removing the Flying Type allows Togekiss to eat hits from Ice-, Rock-, and Electric-type moves as if they were neutral. This allows the user to mitigate risk by a significant amount in many matchups, such as against Choice Specs Greninja, uninvested Mega Gardevoir, and uninvested Tapu Lele. Examples of moves Roost allows Togekiss to take neutral damage from would be Stone Edge from Golem, Bolt Strike from Victini, and Choice Specs Greninja Ice Beam
  • Nasty Plot allows Togekiss to break through walls such as Mega Slowbro, Umbreon, Kyurem, and Deoxys-Speed.
  • Charm lets it beat Groundium Golem, Donphan, Mega Gyarados, and Physical Dragonite more reliably.
  • Substitute can be combined with Air Slash and Thunder Wave to further protect Togekiss from being attacked. This can help against uninvested Tapu Lele and Mega Gardevoir
  • Encore can force opponents to continue using setup moves, allowing Togekiss to slowly chip away at the enemies HP with safety. This lets it lock Pokemon such as Mega Gardevoir, Mega Charizard X, and Zygarde into moves such as Calm Mind, Dragon Dance, and Substitute, respectively.
Set Details
========

  • 208 HP EVs and 72 Special Defense EVs with a Calm Nature allows Togekiss to survive many strong hits such as uninvested Tapu Lele, uninvested Mega Gardevoir, and Choice Specs Greninja, and use Z-Thunder Wave.
  • The HP also allows Togekiss to deal with Physical attackers like Mega Gyarados with ease.
  • Using Landing Air Slash on a paralyzed Pokemon gives the opponent 30% chance to move each turn. This allows Togekiss to flinch many opponents from 100-0 without needing Roost or Nasty Plot.
  • Electrium Z allows Togekiss to use Z-Thunder Wave to boost its Special Defense by 1 Stage. This helps against Choice Scarf Porygon Z, Greninja, uninvested Tapu Lele, and uninvested Mega Gardevoir
  • 228 Speed EVs allows Togekiss to outspeed max speed Deoxys Speed after paralysis from Thunder Wave.
  • Serene Grace boosts the chance of Air Slash flinching to 60% which helps against Tapu Lele, Mega Gardevoir, Tapu Fini, and Primarina.
Usage Tips
========

  • Always use Z-Thunder Wave turn 1 when gaining +1 special defense will not cause you to lose, for example, against Greninja, or the opponent is an Electric- or Ground-type like Golem or Zeraora. dude. Get rid of this. You're saying that you should use Twave against Electric and Ground Types. It doesn't work. Or, at least reword it.
  • Nasty Plot should be used against walls like Mega Sableye and Mega Slowbro as soon and as often as possible, as Togekiss needs to end games fast due to its poor matchups against PP Stallers.
  • Roost should be used to heal up after hits such as Ice Beam to remove the weakness and to ensure safety in case you get unlucky, for example against Choice Specs Greninja, as this can mitigate the risk of losing on turns Air Slash does not flinch.
  • Use Air Slash on turns that it does not need to use Charm, Roost, Nasty Plot, Substitute, or Encore to decrease the risk of losing, as Electrium Z Togekiss is designed to be as risk averse and safe as possible.
  • Keep in mind that the opponent has a 70% chance to not attack each turn if Air Slash lands.
  • Substitute can be used against Pokemon who tend to use moves like Calm Mind, such as Magearna, Tapu Lele, and Mega Gardevoir, as it can create a barrier that allows Togekiss to survive a powerful attack in case it doesn't flinch.
  • Against Magearna specifically, use Z-Thunder Wave turn 1, then use Substitute, then Air Slash away. Use Substitute when they break your 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Substitutes, as Togekiss can live a +2 or below Fleur Cannon after a Roost at +1 Special Defense, then use Substitute again. Make sure you have a Substitute up at almost all times, to prevent the opposing Magearna from using Pain Split.
  • Encore can help the matchup against Mega Gardevoir, Mega Charizard X, and Zygarde by locking them into Calm Mind, Dragon Dance, or Substitute respectively, this also helps against Pokemon such as Stored Power Necrozma, Mega Slowbro, Clefable, and Tapunium Z Tapu Fini.
  • Charm can allow Togekiss to give it a buffer against Groundium Golem, Donphan, Mega Charizard X, and Mega Gyarados by reducing the number of flinches needed.
  • Use Togekiss if your opponent doesn’t have any Steel-, Electric- or fast Ground-types like Magnezone, Zeraora, or Choice Band Garchomp, or any pokemon who win via being faster like Smeargle, Vivillon, or Jumpluff.
  • Don’t use Togekiss if it is an obvious pick for your opponent to use an Electric- or Fast Ground-type such as Zeraora or Choice Band Garchomp. Toge should beat groundium/Scarf easily
Team Options
========

  • Pokemon that can efficiently dispatch Steel-, Electric-, and Rock-types like Golem, Zeraora, and Magnezone are helpful as teammates for Togekiss, such as Golem, Donphan, or Garchomp. In return, Togekiss can beat Water- and Grass-types like Primarina and Mega Venusaur for them.
  • Pokemon such as Kyurem and Dragonite that benefit from Togekiss dispatching uninvested Mega Gardevoir, Mega Gyarados, and Greninja are good teammates, especially if they can match up well versus the Steel-, Electric-, and Rock-types that hold Togekiss back such as Rockium Golem, Zeraora, and Celesteela.
  • Pokemon that can deal with Toxic stallers like Blissey and Chansey, Ferrothorn for example, are good teammates for Togekiss.
  • Teammates that can deal with fast Poison-types like Naganadel and Substitute Mega Gengar make great teammates, for example Specially Defensive Flame Charge Mega Charizard X.

Moves

  • Air Slash is the primary move that Choice Scarf Togekiss uses, so much so that the other moves are filler, with the exception of Fire Blast. It hits Naganadel, Tapu Lele, Mega Charizard, Mega Gardevoir, Mega Gyarados, and most of the metagame for at least decent damage, allowing it to potentially win a poor matchup with a string of flinches.
  • Fire Blast allows Togekiss to beat some Steel-types like Mega Scizor and Ferrothorn.
  • Dazzling Gleam is a STAB move that can hit some Pokemon for a good amount of damage, such as Greninja, Garchomp, Haxorus, Non Metal Burst Mega Sableye, and Mega Altaria.
  • Trick can mess with Pokemon such as Porygon2 and Type Null by forcing them to lose their Eviolite and locking them into the first move they used.
Set Details
========

  • Serene Grace doubles the chance of secondary effects, giving Air Slash a 60% chance to flinch.
  • 252 Speed EVs with a Timid Nature allows Togekiss to have the maximum speed possible
  • 252 Special Attack EVs lets it do as much damage as possible.
  • 4 Special defense EVs are leftover and don’t do anything.
  • A Choice Scarf boosts Togekiss’ speed so that it can outspeed as many Pokemon as possible. This allows it to outspeed everything up to max speed Zeraora.
Usage Tips
========

  • Use Air Slash against opponents that it is neutral or super-effective against, unless Fire Blast or Dazzling Gleam would OHKO, for example, against Ferrothorn or Greninja. Use Air Slash against Pokemon that you cannot OHKO with a coverage move and will win without getting flinched, such as Mega Tyranitar, Golem, and Magnezone, as a small chance of winning is better than no chance of winning.
  • You can use Trick against Pokemon with a Berry, Leftovers, or Eviolite, or some other item that isn’t a Z Crystal or Mega Stone if Air Slash doesn’t win, this would include Pokemon such as Berry or Leftovers Stored Power Necrozma, Pokemon utilizing the FEAR strategy, Porygon2, and Type Null.
  • It’s a good idea to use Togekiss when your opponent has a way to beat both other Pokemon on your team, or if they use a lot of Pokemon that do not resist Air Slash.
Team Options
========

  • Pokemon that can beat Rock-, Steel-, Poison-, and Electric-types such as Magnezone, add examples of Rock and Poison types are good teammates for Togekiss. Ground-types cover all of these tremendously, so teammates like Zygarde-Complete, Donphan, and Golem are great. Togekiss can beat most Water- and Grass-types like Mega Venusaur, Primarina, and Ferrothorn for these Ground-type teammates.
  • Strong wall breaking Pokemon such as Incineroar, Mega Gardevoir, and either Mega Charizard can beat beefy Pokemon that take too many turns for Togekiss to kill such as Celesteela and PP Stall Deoxys-S.

Moves

  • Air Slash is the standard move, as it is a relatively strong STAB move that can flinch slower opponents such as Golem, Donphan, and Primarina.
  • Charm is used to reduce the opponent's attack by two stages, and when powered up by Fairium Z, it also raises Togekiss' defense by one stage. • Roost is used to heal Togekiss, which in conjunction with Charm drastically increases Togekiss' longevity. This is useful against Pokemon who can survive many Air Slashes such as Mega Charizard X and Mega Gyarados.
  • Nasty Plot can be used to boost Special Attack, which can help against defensive Pokemon such as Mega Slowbro, Mega Sableye, and Necrozma.
  • Thunder Wave can be used to increase the chance of your opponent losing a turn, and also allows Togekiss to beat Mega Charizard Y much more easily, by negating the chance of an Air Slash flinch from Charizard Y.
Set Details
========
  • 248 HP and 116 Defense EVs allows Togekiss to take a Flare Blitz from Mega Charizard X, and then take another one after a Z Charm.
  • 248 HP and 144 SpD allows Togekiss to survive a Timid Porygon-Z Z-Hyper Beam most of the time, and moves like Charizard Y Blast Burn all of the time.
  • Fairium Z is used so that Togekiss can use Z-Charm.
  • Serene Grace doubles the chance of Air Slash to flinch.
Usage Tips
========
  • Against physical attackers such as?, use Z-Charm turn 1. Use Charm afterwards whenever necessary to reduce damage taken to allow for more turns to be used using Air Slash. Use Roost to recover HP against Pokemon like Golem, Mega Gyarados, and Mega Charizard X. Use Air Slash, Thunder Wave, or Nasty Plot in between Charms and Roost against most opponents, as doing more damage allows Togekiss to rely less on not getting hit by a critical hit.
  • Send Togekiss in against Physical attackers such as Golem, Donphan, Mega Gyarados, Mega Lopunny, and Mega Charizard.
  • Avoid using Togekiss against teams that utilize a lot of special attackers or Electric-types, such as? as it tends to lose against these Pokemon.
Team Options
========
  • Fairium Z Togekiss pairs well with Bug- and Grass-Types, such as Scizor, Volcarona, and Mega Venusaur, as Togekiss can dispatch the majority of Rock- and Fire-types for them. These Bug- and Grass-types in return can beat Electric- and Ice-types such as Zeraora and Kyurem, both of which can be very threatening to Togekiss, as they can easily OHKO.
  • Togekiss benefits from teammates that can deal with special attackers like Mega Gardevoir, Tapu Lele, and Magnezone, such as Magnezone, Chansey, Magearna, or Clefable Clef loses to all 3, as it takes care of primarily physical attackers such as Golem, Mega Charizard X, and physically attacking Dragonite.
  • Magearna is an especially notable partner, as it loves Togekiss' ability to deal with the Mega Charizards. In return, Magearna can beat Tapu Lele and Mega Gardevoir for Togekiss.
[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

  • Togekiss can use Firium Z to beat Aegislash and Magearna, but loses out on the ability to use Z Thunder Wave or Z Charm, which relegates it to a lure.
  • Togekiss can use Grassium Z to lure Ground Types such as Golem and Mega Swampert, however, this doesn’t have the ability to use Z Thunder Wave, which causes it to lose out on numerous matchups, while still notably being able to deal with Mega Gyarados.
Checks and Counters
===================

**Rock-, Steel-, and Electric-types**: Rock-, Steel-, and Electric-type Pokemon, such as Zeraora, Magnezone, Gigalith, and Aegislash resist Air Slash, which can allow them to survive a large number of Air Slashes, allowing them to potentially OHKO with powerful Z Moves.

**Super Effective Nukes**: Super effective nukes such as Choice Specs or Poisonium Z Naganadel and Icium Z Weavile can OHKO Togekiss. Choice Scarf can potentially win against faster frailer attackers, and great luck can help you deal with slower bulkier ones.

**Specially Defensive Pokemon**: Pokemon such as Chansey and Kyurem can beat Togekiss by being so bulky that even a string of Air Slash flinches doesn’t mean a win, as they can retaliate with strong moves and potentially OHKO, mitigating the usefulness of a flinch.

Togekiss can use Grassium Z to lure Ground Types such as Golem and Mega Swampert, however, this doesn’t have the ability to use Z Thunder Wave, which causes it to lose out on numerous matchups, while still notably being able to deal with Mega Gyarados.

Checks and Counters
===================

Choice Scarf can potentially win against frailer attackers, and great luck can help you deal with bulkier ones.

**Specially Defensive Pokemon**: Pokemon such as Chansey and Kyurem can beat Togekiss by being so bulky that even a string of Air Slash flinches doesn’t mean a win, as they can easily shrug off the damage with some form of recovery and retaliate with strong moves and potentially OHKO defeat Togekiss Chansey ain't OHKOing, mitigating the usefulness of a flinch.

yeah bc you don't need to specify attacks from Pokemon you beat if you will also beat every other non-cteam option a Pokemon has at their disposal
Only if you lose to a certain variant of a Pokemon should it be specified.

[OVERVIEW]

Togekiss’ Togekiss's ability Serene Grace and access to moves such as Air Slash, Thunder Wave, Roost, Charm, Nasty Plot, Encore, Substitute, and Fire Blast allows allow it to win a wide variety of matchups with low opportunity cost for changing sets. Togekiss can run its trademark Choice Scarf set to try and flinch to take faster Pokemon like Naganadel, Mega Charizard, (AC) and Zeraora through flinches until they faint (RC) or OHKO Pokemon like Grenjnja and Ferrothorn with a good range of coverage moves like Dazzling Gleam and Fire Blast, even if they don’t help many matchups. Togekiss’s real power, (AC) however, (AC) comes from its sets that abuse Z Status utilize Z-status moves, such as Electrium Z + Thunder Wave and Fairium Z + Charm, (AC) as they can let Togekiss use its wide movepool and high bulk to minimize risk and ensure secure most matchups. Togekiss is able to survive many attacks from powerful Pokemon with good investment, such as Choice Specs Greninja's Ice Beam, uninvested +2 Mega Gardevoir after Z-Thunder (AH) Wave, Jolly Choice Scarf Kartana, Mega Charizard X, Genesect, and uninvested Tapu Lele. (add attacks to the Pokemon in that list, "surviving these hits" what hits) Surviving these hits is important for Togekiss, (AC) as it allows it to bully them with Thunder Wave, Air Slash, Roost, Charm, or Substitute. However, its weakness to common Steel-, Rock-, and Electric-types such as Zeraora, Magnezone, Terrakion, and Magearna, Terrakion, and Zeraora can hold it back significantly, as these are common picks into against teams that use Togekiss, making it sometimes hard to send out.

Moves
========

Air Slash is the most obvious choice of move for Togekiss, as it’s a decently strong STAB move that, (AC) with Serene Grace, (AC) has a 60% flinch chance to flinch. This allows it to hit the majority of the metagame for decent damage, such as Mega Gyarados. (that's pretty specific, any reason why that one stands out? if not better to just remove it tbh) Thunder Wave allows Togekiss to essentially double its Speed, outspending max speed outrunning fully invested (repetition of speed) Deoxys-Speed, (AH) while adding the chance for full paralysis on top of the flinch chance from Air Slash. (AP) Z-Thunder (AH) Wave raises Togekiss’s Special Defense by one stage, allowing it to survive hits from Pokemon such as Choice Specs Greninja, Choice Scarf Porygon-Z, and uninvested Mega Gardevoir. Roost allows Togekiss to create an HP buffer that allows it to survive attacks if the opponent is able to move, allowing the user to mitigate risk by a significant amount in many matchups, such as against uninvested Mega Gardevoir (RC) and uninvested Tapu Lele, and removing the Flying Type the removal of its Flying typing allows Togekiss to eat hits from Ice-, Rock-, and Electric-type moves as if they were neutral, allowing Togekiss to take neutral damage from would be attacks like Stone Edge from Golem, Bolt Strike from Victini, and Choice Specs Greninja Ice Beam. Nasty Plot allows Togekiss to break through walls such as Mega Slowbro, Umbreon, Kyurem, and Deoxys-Speed. Alternatively, Charm lets it beat Groundium Z Golem, Donphan, Mega Gyarados, and physical Dragonite more reliably. Substitute can be combined with Air Slash and Thunder Wave to further protect Togekiss from being attacked. This can help against uninvested Tapu Lele and Mega Gardevoir. (AP) Lastly, Encore can force opponents opposing Pokemon to continue using setup moves, allowing Togekiss to slowly chip away at the enemies their HP with safety. This lets it lock Pokemon such as Mega Gardevoir, Mega Charizard X, and Zygarde into moves such as Calm Mind, Dragon Dance, and Substitute, respectively.

Set Details
========

208 HP EVs and 72 Special Defense EVs with a Calm nature allows allow Togekiss to survive many strong hits from uninvested Tapu Lele, uninvested Mega Gardevoir, and Choice Specs Greninja, giving it the opprotunity opportunity to use Z-Thunder Wave. The HP EVs also allows allow Togekiss to deal with physical attackers like Mega Gyarados with ease. Landing Air Slash on a paralyzed Pokemon gives the opponent foe 30% chance to move each turn. This allows Togekiss to flinch take many opponents from 100-0 entirely through flinches without needing Roost or Nasty Plot. Electrium Z allows Togekiss to use Z-Thunder Wave to boost its Special Defense by 1 Stage. This helps against Choice Scarf Porygon-Z, (AH) Choice Specs Greninja, uninvested Tapu Lele, and uninvested Mega Gardevoir. (AP) 228 Speed EVs allows allow Togekiss to outspeed maximum Speed Deoxys-Speed (AH) after paralysis from Thunder Wave. Serene Grace boosts the chance of Air Slash flinching to 60%, (AC) which helps against Tapu Lele, Mega Gardevoir, Tapu Fini, and Primarina.

Usage Tips
========

Always use Z-Thunder Wave turn 1 when gaining +1 Special Defense will not cause you to lose; (SC) for example, Greninja is a matchup where you use Z-Thunder Wave turn 1, whereas Golem is not. (surely you also have an example that's not immune to TWave) Nasty Plot should be used against walls like Mega Sableye and Mega Slowbro as soon and as often as possible, as Togekiss needs to end games fast due to its poor matchups against PP stallers. Roost should be used to heal up after hits such as Ice Beam to remove the weakness and to ensure safety in case you get unlucky, for example such as against Choice Specs Greninja, as this can mitigate the risk of losing on turns Air Slash does not land a flinch. Use Air Slash on turns that it Togekiss does not need to use Charm, Roost, Nasty Plot, Substitute, or Encore one of its status moves to decrease the risk of losing, as Electrium Z Togekiss is designed to be as risk averse and safe as possible. Keep in mind that the opponent foe has a 70% chance to not attack each turn if Air Slash lands. Substitute can be used against Pokemon who that tend to use moves like Calm Mind, such as Magearna, Tapu Lele, and Mega Gardevoir, as it can create a barrier that allows Togekiss to survive a powerful attack in case it doesn't land a flinch. Against Magearna specifically, use Z-Thunder Wave turn 1, then use Substitute, then spam Air Slash away. Use Substitute again when they break your 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Substitutes it breaks Togekiss's Substitute, as Togekiss can live take a +2 or below Fleur Cannon after a Roost at +1 Special Defense, then use Substitute again. Make sure you have a Substitute up at almost all times, to prevent the opposing Magearna from using Pain Split. Encore can help the matchup against Mega Gardevoir, Mega Charizard X, and Zygarde by locking them into Calm Mind, Dragon Dance, or Substitute respectively, this their setup moves, and also helps against Pokemon such as Stored Power Necrozma, Mega Slowbro, Clefable, and Tapunium Z Tapu Fini. Charm can allow Togekiss to give it Togekiss a buffer against Groundium Z Golem, Donphan, Mega Charizard X, and Mega Gyarados by reducing the number of flinches needed. Use Togekiss if your opponent doesn’t have any Steel-, Electric-, (AC) or fast Ground-types like Magnezone, Zeraora, or Choice Band Garchomp, or any Pokemon who win that wins via being faster like Smeargle, Vivillon, or Jumpluff. Don’t use Togekiss if it is an obvious pick for your opponent to use an Electric-type or fast Ground-type such as Zeraora or Choice Band Garchomp.

Team Options
========

Pokemon that can efficiently dispatch Steel-, Electric-, and Rock-types like Rockium Z Golem, Zeraora, and Magnezone are helpful as teammates for Togekiss, such as Golem, Donphan, or and Garchomp. In return, Togekiss can beat Water- and Grass-types like Primarina and Mega Venusaur for them. Pokemon such as Kyurem and Dragonite that benefit from Togekiss dispatching uninvested Mega Gardevoir, Mega Gyarados, and Greninja are good teammates, especially if they can match up well versus the Steel-, Electric-, and Rock-types that hold Togekiss back such as Golem, Zeraora, and Celesteela. Pokemon that can deal with Toxic stallers like Blissey and Chansey, such as Ferrothorn for example, are good teammates for Togekiss, (comma) as are teammates that can deal with fast Poison-types like Naganadel and Substitute Mega Gengar, (AC) make great teammates, for example such as specially defensive Flame Charge Mega Charizard X.

Moves
========

Air Slash is the primary move that Choice Scarf Togekiss uses, so much so that the other moves are filler, with the exception of Fire Blast. It hits Naganadel, Tapu Lele, Mega Charizard, Mega Gardevoir, Mega Gyarados, and most of the metagame for at least decent damage, allowing it to potentially win a poor matchup with a string of flinches. Fire Blast allows Togekiss to beat some Steel-types like Mega Scizor and Ferrothorn. Dazzling Gleam is a secondary STAB move that can hit Dragon- and Dark-type Pokemon for super effective damage, such as Greninja, Garchomp, Haxorus, non-Metal (AH) Burst Mega Sableye, and Mega Altaria. Trick can mess with Pokemon such as Porygon2 and Type: Null (add colon) by forcing them to lose their Eviolite and locking them into the first move they used.

Set Details
========

Serene Grace doubles the chance of secondary effects, giving gives Air Slash a 60% chance to land a flinch (allowing it to do what in practice?). 252 Speed EVs with a Timid nature allows give Togekiss to have the maximum Speed possible, (comma) while 252 Special Attack EVs lets let it do as much damage as possible. (mention any speed benchmarks / KOs that they secure) 4 Special defense EVs are leftover and don’t do anything notable. A Choice Scarf boosts Togekiss’ speed so that it can outspeed as many Pokemon as possible. This allows it to outspeed everything up to maximum Speed Zeraora.

Usage Tips
========

Use Air Slash against opponents Pokemon that it is neutral or super effective (AH) against, unless Fire Blast or Dazzling Gleam would OHKO them, for example, such as against Ferrothorn or Greninja. In particular, use Air Slash against Pokemon that you Togekiss cannot OHKO with a coverage move and will win without getting flinched lose against barring flinches, such as Mega Tyranitar, Golem, and Magnezone, as a small chance of winning is better than no chance of winning. You can use Trick against Pokemon with a Berry, Leftovers, or Eviolite, or some other item that isn’t a Z-Crystal (AH) or Mega Stone if Air Slash doesn’t win; (SC) this would includes Pokemon such as Berry or Leftovers Stored Power Necrozma, Pokemon utilizing the FEAR strategy, Porygon2, and Type Null. It’s a good idea to use Togekiss when your opponent has a way to beat both other Pokemon on your team (RC) or if they use a lot of Pokemon that do not resist Air Slash.

Team Options
========

Pokemon that can beat Rock-, Steel-, Poison-, and Electric-types such as Magnezone, Naganadel, Mega Gengar, and Golem are good teammates for Togekiss. Ground-types cover all of these tremendously, so teammates like Zygarde-Complete, Donphan, and Golem are great. In return, Togekiss can beat most Water- and Grass-types like Mega Venusaur, Primarina, and Ferrothorn for these Ground-type teammates. Strong wall breaking wallbreaking Pokemon such as Incineroar, Mega Gardevoir, and either Mega Charizard X and Y can beat beefy Pokemon that take too many turns for Togekiss to kill KO such as Celesteela and PP stall Deoxys-S. Choice Scarf Togekiss acts as a good panic button, as it can cheese beat threats to the main core of the team through luck, this which can allow it to support generally strong cores such as Mega Gardevoir and + Heatran or and Mega Altaria and + Heatran.

Moves
========

Air Slash is the standard this set's go-to move, as it is a relatively strong STAB move that can flinch make slower opponents targets such as Golem, Donphan, and Primarina flinch. Charm is used to reduce the opponent's opposing Pokemon's Attack by two stages, and when powered up by Fairium Z, it also raises Togekiss's Defense by one stage. This can help it beat Golem, Donphan, Mega Gyarados, Mega Charizard X, and other physical attackers such as physically attacking Dragonite and Mega Aggron more reliably. Roost is used to heal Togekiss, which in conjunction with Charm drastically increases Togekiss's longevity. This is useful against Pokemon who that can survive many Air Slashes such as Mega Charizard X and Mega Gyarados. Nasty Plot can be used to boost Special Attack, which can help against defensive Pokemon such as Mega Slowbro, Mega Sableye, and Necrozma. Thunder Wave can be used to increase the chance of your opponent the foe losing a turn (RC) and also allows Togekiss to beat Mega Charizard Y much more easily (RC) by negating the chance of an opposing Air Slash flinch from Charizard Y.

Set Details
========

248 HP and 116 The given HP and Defense EVs allows allow Togekiss to take a full-power Flare Blitz from Mega Charizard X (RC) and then take another one after a Z-Charm. (AH) 248 HP and 144 SpD The Special Defense investment allows Togekiss to survive a Timid Porygon-Z's Z-Hyper Beam Normalium Z-boosted Hyper Beam most of the time (RC) and moves like Charizard Y Blast Burn all of the time. Fairium Z is used so that Togekiss can use Z-Charm. Serene Grace doubles the chance of Air Slash to land a flinch.

Usage Tips
========

Against physical attackers such as Mega Charizard X, Golem, Donphan, and Mega Gyarados, use Z-Charm turn 1. Use Charm afterwards whenever necessary to reduce damage taken to allow for free up more turns to be used using Air Slash. Use Roost to recover HP against Pokemon like Golem, Mega Gyarados, and Mega Charizard X. Use Air Slash, Thunder Wave, or Nasty Plot in between Charms and Roost against most opponents foes, as doing more damage allows Togekiss to rely less on not getting hit by a critical hit. Send Togekiss in against physical attackers such as Golem, Donphan, Mega Gyarados, Mega Lopunny, and Mega Charizard. Avoid using Togekiss against teams that utilize a lot of special attackers or Electric-types such as Magearna, Tapu Lele, and Zeraora, as it tends to lose against these Pokemon.

Team Options
========

Fairium Z Togekiss pairs well with Bug- and Grass-types, such as Scizor, Volcarona, and Mega Venusaur, as Togekiss it can dispatch the majority of Rock- and Fire-types for them. These Bug- and Grass-types in return can beat Electric- and Ice-types such as Zeraora and Kyurem, both of which can be very threatening to Togekiss, as they can easily OHKO Togekiss. Togekiss benefits from teammates that can deal with special attackers like Mega Gardevoir, Tapu Lele, and Magnezone, such as your own Magnezone, Chansey, or and Magearna, as it takes care of primarily physical attackers such as Golem, Mega Charizard X, and physically attacking Dragonite for them. Magearna is an especially notable partner, as it loves Togekiss's ability to deal with the Mega Charizards X and Y. In return, Magearna can beat Tapu Lele and Mega Gardevoir for Togekiss.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

Togekiss can use Firium Z to beat Aegislash and Magearna, but it loses out on the ability to use Z-Thunder (AH) Wave or Z-Charm, (AH) which relegates it to a lure. Togekiss can use Grassium Z allows Togekiss to lure Ground-types (AH) such as Golem and Mega Swampert; (SC) however, this doesn’t have gives up the ability to use Z-Thunder (AH) Wave, which causes it to lose out on numerous matchups, while still notably being able to deal with Mega Gyarados. (not sure what this means / how to read this, transition is rly awkward which is throwing me off)

Checks and Counters
===================

**Rock-, Steel-, and Electric-types**: Rock-, Steel-, and Electric-type Pokemon, such as Zeraora, Magnezone, Gigalith, and Aegislash resist Air Slash, which can allow them to survive a large number of Air Slashes, allowing them to and potentially OHKO Togekiss with powerful Z-Moves. (AH)

**Super Effective Nukes**: Strong super effective nukes attackers such as Choice Specs or Poisonium Z Naganadel and Icium Z Weavile can OHKO Togekiss. However, the Choice Scarf set can potentially win against frailer attackers, and great luck can help you deal with bulkier ones.

**Specially Defensive Pokemon**: Pokemon such as Chansey and Kyurem can beat Togekiss by being so bulky that shrug off even a string of Air Slash flinches doesn’t mean a win, as they can shrug off the damage with their great bulk and some form of recovery (RC) and potentially beat Togekiss, mitigating the usefulness of a flinch.

Mgyara is one of the best and most common Pokemon in 1v1, think OU Heatran, quickly beating it is definitely notable.
for Sub kiss v magearna, it is specifically the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd subs that are broken, as the set gets 4 substitutes with odd HP.

also, completed gp 1/2

---
for mgyara would be better to change "such as" to "notably" then
and still make the sub change imo, it's implied/obvious that you can't set up another sub after the 4th one breaks so no need to spell it out like that

Thunder Wave allows Togekiss to essentially double its Speed, outpacing max speed outrunning fully invested Deoxys-S, while adding the chance for full paralysis on top of the flinch chance from Air Slash. Z-Thunder Wave raises Togekiss’s Togekiss's Special Defense by one stage, allowing it to survive hits from Pokemon such as Choice Specs Greninja, Choice Scarf Porygon-Z, and uninvested Mega Gardevoir. Roost allows Togekiss to create an HP buffer that allows it to survive attacks if the opponent is able to move, allowing the user to mitigate risk by a significant amount in many matchups, such as against uninvested Mega Gardevoir and uninvested Tapu Lele, and the removal of its Flying-type Flying typing allows Togekiss to take neutral damage from attacks like Stone Edge from Golem, Bolt Strike from Victini, and Ice Beam from Choice Specs Greninja Ice Beam. Nasty Plot allows Togekiss to break through walls such as Mega Slowbro, Umbreon, Kyurem, and Deoxys-S. 208 HP EVs and 72 Special Defense EVs with a Calm nature allow Togekiss to survive many strong hits from uninvested Tapu Lele, uninvested Mega Gardevoir, and Choice Specs Greninja, giving it the opportunity to use Z-Thunder Wave. Use Air Slash against Pokemon that it is neutral or super-effective super effective against, unless Fire Blast or Dazzling Gleam would OHKO them, such as against Ferrothorn or Greninja. In particular, use Air Slash against Pokemon that you cannot OHKO with a coverage move and will lose against barring flinches, such as Mega Tyranitar, Golem, and Magnezone, as a small chance of winning is better than no chance of winning. You can use Trick against Pokemon with a Berry, Leftovers, Eviolite, or some other item that isn’t isn't a Z-Crystal or Mega Stone if Air Slash doesn’t doesn't win; this includes Pokemon such as Berry or Leftovers Stored Power Necrozma, Pokemon utilizing the FEAR strategy, Porygon2, and Type Null. It’s It's a good idea to use Togekiss when your opponent has a way to beat both other Pokemon on your team or if they use a lot of Pokemon that do not resist Air Slash.

Team Options
========

Pokemon that can beat Rock-, Steel-, Poison-, and Electric-types such as Magnezone, Naganadel, Mega Gengar, and Golem are good teammates for Togekiss. Ground-types cover all of these tremendously, so teammates like Zygarde-C, Donphan, and Golem are great. In return, Togekiss can beat most Water- and Grass-types like Mega Venusaur, Primarina, and Ferrothorn for these Ground-type teammates. Strong wallbreaking Pokemon such as Incineroar, Mega Gardevoir, and Mega Charizard X and Y can beat beefy Pokemon that take too many turns for Togekiss to KO such as Celesteela and PP stall Deoxys-S. Choice Scarf Togekiss acts as a good panic button, as it can beat threats to the main core of the team through luck, this which can allow it to support generally strong cores such as Mega Gardevoir + Heatran and Mega Altaria + Heatran.

Moves
========

Air Slash is this set's go-to move, as it is a relatively strong STAB move that can make slower targets such as Golem, Donphan, and Primarina flinch. Charm is used to reduce the opposing Pokemon's Attack by two stages, and when powered up by Fairium Z, it also raises Togekiss's Defense by one stage. This is useful against Pokemon that can survive many Air Slashes such as Mega Charizard X and Mega Gyarados. Nasty Plot can help against defensive Pokemon such as Mega Slowbro, Mega Sableye, and Necrozma. Thunder Wave can be used to increase the chance of the foe losing a turn, (RC) and also allows Togekiss to beat Mega Charizard Y much more easily by negating the chance of an opposing Air Slash flinch from Charizard Y.

Set Details
========

The given HP and Defense EVs allow Togekiss to take a full-power Flare Blitz from Mega Charizard X and another one after a Z-Charm. The Special Defense investment allows Togekiss to survive a Timid Porygon-Z's Normalium Z-boosted Hyper Beam most of the time and moves like Mega Charizard Y's Blast Burn all of the time. Fairium Z is used so that Togekiss can use Z-Charm. Serene Grace doubles the chance of Air Slash to land a flinch.

Usage Tips
========

Against physical attackers such as Mega Charizard X, Golem, Donphan, and Mega Gyarados, use Z-Charm turn 1. Use Charm afterwards whenever necessary to reduce damage taken to free up more turns to be used using Air Slash. Use Roost to recover HP against Pokemon like Golem, Mega Gyarados, and Mega Charizard X. Use Air Slash, Thunder Wave, or Nasty Plot in between Charms and Roost against most foes, as doing more damage allows Togekiss to rely less on not getting hit by a critical hit. Send Togekiss in against physical attackers such as Golem, Donphan, Mega Gyarados, Mega Lopunny, and Mega Charizard X. Avoid using Togekiss against teams that utilize a lot of special attackers or Electric-types such as Magearna, Tapu Lele, and Zeraora, as it tends to lose against these Pokemon.

Team Options
========

Fairium Z Togekiss pairs well with Bug- and Grass-types, such as Scizor, Volcarona, and Mega Venusaur, as Togekiss it can dispatch the majority of Rock- and Fire-types for them. These Bug- and Grass-types in return can beat Electric- and Ice-types such as Zeraora and Kyurem, both of which can easily OHKO Togekiss. Togekiss benefits from teammates that can deal with special attackers like Mega Gardevoir, Tapu Lele, and Magnezone, such as your own Magnezone, Chansey, and Magearna, as it takes care of primarily physical attackers such as Golem, Mega Charizard X, and physically attacking Dragonite for them. Magearna is an especially notable partner, as it loves Togekiss's ability to deal with Mega Charizard X and Y. In return, Magearna can beat Tapu Lele and Mega Gardevoir for Togekiss.

Other Options
=============

Togekiss can use Firium Z to beat Aegislash and Magearna, but it loses out on the ability to use Z-Thunder Wave or Z-Charm, which relegates it to a lure. Grassium Z allows Togekiss to lure Ground-(AH)types such as Golem and Mega Swampert, and in addition still beat Mega Gyarados; (SC) however, this doesn’t have gives up the ability to use Z-Thunder Wave, which causes it to lose out on numerous matchups.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Rock-, Steel-, and Electric-types**: Rock-, Steel-, and Electric-type Pokemon, such as Zeraora, Magnezone, Gigalith, and Aegislash resist Air Slash, which can allow them to survive a large number of them and potentially OHKO Togekiss with powerful Z-Moves.

**Super Effective Nukes**: Strong super-effective super effective attackers such as Choice Specs or Poisonium Z Naganadel and Icium Z Weavile can OHKO Togekiss. However, the Choice Scarf set can potentially win against frailer attackers, and great luck can help you deal with bulkier ones.

**Specially Defensive Pokemon**: Pokemon such as Chansey and Kyurem can shrug off even a string of Air Slash flinches with their great bulk and some form of recovery and potentially beat Togekiss, mitigating the usefulness of a flinch.
