Total posts/Social groups

I'm not sure if this is a suggestion so much as a question but here it goes. I have noticed that your "total posts" goes up even if you do not post a thread, but simply comment in one. So my question is, why doesn't your posts go up if you comment in a social group? It seem that there is really no reason to tally up your post if it's not about how many "threads" you have contributed, so the only other reason I can find is to show how active a member is in Smogon. If that's the case, I think that post in social groups should be added to "total post" as well. I myself use social groups more than the threads, but if you looked at my profile and total post, it would seem like I am not that active in Smogon, when in all actuality, considering the amount of time I have been a member, I am extremely active.

It's just a thought.

Thanks and take care,
Lux

How the fuck do you comment on a thread? You either post or you don't.
Calm down. He meant post in a thread, use some common sense. Anyway, I'm going to guess that it can promote postcount++ without having to do it in the main forum, though I myself would think it's a good idea. I can see it being rejected though :/

It's essentially the same reason that visitor messages do not add to your post count. Social groups aren't really subject to strict moderation like the rest of the forum. You could easily inflate your post count by posting nonsense in random social groups.
