Toxicroak (Toxic Stall) [QC (0/3)]

I was just explaining how it would help to deal with chandelure because that was the pokemon you said ( the same applies for Mamoswine unless they work out that they can break the sub with earthquake the hit it with ice shard). There are some others it benefits from outspeeding - jolly gyarados and dragonite and adamant haxorus. Although looking through the speed tiers there is not much else that it needs jolly for, so adamant may actually be the main option.

Just a bump as I see this has fallen to near the bottom of the pile, I put more logs in which I think are quite convincing, but anyway it's ready for QC to have a look at and pass judgement.

The new logs don't help your case, since it was mainly SubPunching that was getting the job done, and we already have a Sub Punch set on-site. The last 2 logs at the bottom of your OP, however, show cases how Toxic-stalling SubPunching Toxicroak may possibly work, so I would suggest other QC members to check those logs out. However, I am not sold yet, since SubPunch Toxicroak seems to get the job done better except for circumstantial cases (for instance, you can merely do heavy damage to Latios / Dragonite with Sucker Punch / Ice Punch rather than spending a turn poisoning it).

I can see how this set would allow it to beat the usual Toxicroak counters, such as Hippowdon, Jellicent, Slowbro, and Gyarados, though. Again, I am not completely sold - need better logs :p

I thought the first log was quite good as it shows Toxicroak beating gyarados, gallade and virizion with toxic, but I see now the two after it were mainly subpunching so I'm sorry. I'll try and get some better ones, but it may not be until Friday at least.
Ice punch is good for dragons like you say, should it be the main slash over protect? It will be much better offensively but it wouldn't be such a good staller. Although from full health it would still beat a poisoned poke with using only sub.

Sorry but this set isn't good enough to be on-site imo. It can get an OO mention but not more than that. And the logs you provided didn't help your cause. Your first opponent kept using Bounce on Toxicroak even after knowing you had Protect and Substitute (and I'm not even commenting Outrage on Gyarados...); your second opponent was a reasonable one but Toxicroak never used Toxic, which means the standard SubPunch set would be better; the third opponent could have swept you immediatly with +6 Toxicroak but, for some reason I'll never understand, used Sucker Punch on Vaporeon, even though he was faster, had surely more powerful moves (basically any STAB was better), and it was obvious Roaring was your only way to avoid the 6-0.

QC REJECTED 1/3

Fair points, about the logs my ranking is low so good battles are hard to come by. I guess i put them up before i analysed the opponents plays enough as I was focusing more on toxicroak. I'm pretty sure sucker punch was a misclick ( I've never battled someone dim witted enough to use sucker punch intentionally in that situation).

Is there any point in me trying to get more logs up if it is going to be rejected anyway? It will save me some time if I don't have to.

Yeah, don't get any more logs, since the situation looks grim. I'm going to say no to this on the basis that I can simply use Politoed, Toxicroak, and Tentacruel on the same team, with Tentacruel providing Toxic Spikes, and Toxicroak using its SubPunch set to stall threats out. On Drizzle teams, Poison-types shouldn't be a problem, either.

QC Rejected 2/3

yeap - this set just seems inferior overall to the SubPunch set on-site.

QC Rejected #3
