Toxicroak @ Leftovers
Ability: Dry Skin
Tera Type: Dark
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Close Combat
- Gunk Shot
- Sucker Punch
With a powerful ability in Dry Skin, a great STAB combination on offense and defense, and a good Attack stat, this poisonous frog is one of NU's most threatening sweepers and cleaners! Sucker Punch helps make up for Toxicroak's middling Speed stat, allowing it to chip down faster foes such as Cinccino, Munkidori, and Galarian Articuno while being its strongest option against the likes of Galarian Slowbro and Basculegion. Tera Dark further boosts the power of Sucker Punch, allowing Toxicroak to OHKO threats such as Kilowattrel, Bronzong, and Toxtricity after a Swords Dance while also helping it be completely immune to Psychic-type attacks from the likes of Munkidori and Uxie. Since Toxicroak loves having Water-types such as Vaporeon and Milotic on the battlefield to set up on, partners such as Paldean Tauros-F, Inteleon, and Chandelure that bring these Water-types in make excellent partners. Toxicroak's relative fragility can often make it difficult to set up safely, so pivots such as Incineroar, Mienshao, and Milotic that can bring it in safely, especially against Water-types, are excellent teammates to have.
