Personal power rankings, ofc I'll rank my team the highest :)

#7

Snowpoint Snoms

My biggest qualms with this team is that there are so many players, but not enough heavy hitters to really make it feasible. You'll have some of the best OU, Mono and OMM talent in Roginald, DugZa, and RICEMAN respectively, but everywhere else I'm left a little confused. I'm not exactly sure where any of the players left will fit. There are some competent builders and versatile players like Mossy, PokeArt, and velvet, which may attribute to their success in the tour. Their team chat definitely looks like one of the most fun environments though.

#6

Skypiea Scrafties

This is another team where I don't really know where some of these players will go. Z Strats and Mac3 are some top players in their respective formats, and Trade should be able to bring the versatility. I don't know much about saba given they played one BLT game, but I'd like to see both player managers play more than one given how costly player managers are. They have plenty of subs, 5, and most seemed like last-minute pick-ups rather than premeditated choices. I think their draft shows: 17 Trade, 14 Mac3 and 13 Z Strats—they went very heavy for 3 fantastic players but didn't really get players much throughout the rest of the draft because they were so low. Now they have 5 3k players.

#5

Cinnabar Cinderace

Solid team, nothing inherently wrong here. There aren't any star players that stand out bar Chazm and Splash. Splash wanted to play on the Draco Droppers so not sure how involved they'll be on the Cinderaces, but I still know they'll get important wins. Plimsoll Punks said they aren't going to have much time to put into this tournament given college, so I'm curious to see if the 8.5k investment was worth it. LolTrollGame had a real solid performance in BLT imo, so I think that'll continue here especially in a meta where premier Doubles players might not be as knowledgeable, given it's LC. Acsel went undefeated in BLT and I fully expect his momentum to continue in this tournament as well.

#4

Verdanturf Town Roselia

Right in the middle of the pack, I have the Roselias. They got a lot of good players for cheap, but in my opinion they have too many people. 7 subs is absurd, but when they're done playing subs they'll have a really solid season imo. Voltix + Roldski will make for an excellent Doubles LC core—possibly the best in the tour. Cata is a great OM player as well, and I think his talent will translate well to the OMMs, whichever they decide to put him in. I also hope PA doesn't play 1 game like in BLT...

#3

Full Moon Frosmoths

They have the best OMM core in the tour in jrdn + Andy, and they have bases covered in the other tiers. Stareal is a great OU pick, while arce9 can perform solidly in RUBL too. The rest I'm not necessarily sold on. I see Lamp and not a racist, but I'm not sure how much value there is in being a "randbats main," especially in Battle Factory. I don't think their Doubles LC and Camo Mono are all that strong, but are def capable.

#2

Heatmor Chicken

This is a great team with not many holes. They have essentially all bases covered, and their players are all solid—even any subs. I don't really see a dedicated OU player bar Bacon, but he's preferring Same Six anyway so maybe ojr will play it. It's hard to really see them losing more than 2 weeks with their lineup, but I suppose everything will fall on their managers. This is definitely a play-offs team.

#1

Absolute Absolposters

TNM, kythr, ewin should already tell you this is a play-offs team. They come in with ToastedBunzzz, who didn't have an all too impressive BLT, but I know they're still solid. Ice said he won't have much time to dedicate to playing, but I'm starting to wonder if that was all cap to get on the Absols. :blobthinking: Even a low effort Ice should be able to contribute nicely to the team. A lot of Absols from TPP I return and people just in the Absol discord, so I think the team chat will be a very pleasant and cooperative environment too. I feel every player on the team has room to contribute, and will definitely be a team to make play-offs.

All just my opinion so please don't take it harshly or quote me if your team does better/worse than I ranked (even tho ik it'll happen). I think 7, 6, and 5 are close and are pretty interchangeable. 1 and 2 are also very close.

Will post my rankings and add thoughts tomorrow when I wake up because funner. I've done extensive research on all players in this tour and rankings are based on projected win rates in securing a win for the week.

7. Snoms
6. Heatmor
5. Draco
4. Absols
3. Cinderace
2. Frosmoths
1. Roselia

Top 3 are somewhat interchangeable but not really tbh. Btw these are all v close by like 1% they basically don't matter because the quality of actual players in the tour is solid af.

Frosty's Most definitely Biased BF team rankings:

Most people will say that rands is rands, and you never know who can win, but i'll have to disagree. Anyone who knows rands knows that its very RNG based, but there's a lot more to it and there is a distinction at how good you can be at it. without further ado im gonna jump straight into the rankings:

N/A - Frosmoths - Definitely biased, but also we have 3 Rands mainers in Elgino, Not A Racist, and I want a lamp, i dont see us having any trouble in gen 7 BF.

7. Roselia - With so many people on their team, i dont doubt that they'll definitely find someone to play gen 7 BF, but i dont see any mainers on their team who have the meta knowledge to go positive in this tour.

6. Draco Droppers - While having Raj.shoot and Gxe, both of who can do very well in Gen 7 BF, i dont see either of them playing BF for the draco droppers, and hence a low ranking. they definitely have the potential to be higher on this list.

5. AbsolPosters - King Leo V is definitely pretty good at BF and if they end up playing in that slot, can surprise their opponents. I dont see anyone else on this team though that could potentially do well in BF.

4. Scrafties - Irpachuza and shion can both perform very well in this slot, and having two good players is definitely better than one.

3. Snoms - Having Both roginald and fragments frees up roginald to go on OU without a fret, and fragments to take up BF, or vice versa where roginald can take over BF and fragments is a very versatile sub who can cover any tier with the right help.

2. cinderace - Nice to see CDE return for tpp2, no doubt they'll do really well.

1. heatmor chickens - Getting RSB for 9k is definitely a steal and all those who know them will agree.

Overall - Most teams have a decent slot, and there are definitely a couple of matchups here that im excited to see, can't wait to start. Good Luck everyone!

I personally think the Roselia's are good. They just need to work more to improve in the teambuilding, predicts, lead, risk-reward, double switches, try not to choke, make aggressive plays, game reading, matchup comprehension, 50/50s, scheduling and general knowledge of pokemon/the tiers though.

252+ Atk Heatmor Fire Lash vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Eviolite Roselia: 290-344 (120.3 - 142.7%) -- guaranteed OHKO. Lets Burn the Roselia's this week with our super effective attacks!
