Winners
Mina.png

Name: Mina
Effect: Your Pokemon are immune to the secondary effects of moves. Your Pokemon can't have their Speed lowered by opposing Pokemon.
Description: Mina's ace is a Ribombee with the ability Shield Dust which is famous for its access to Sticky Web (she doesn't use it since its her ace, but Ribombee does get it). Shield Dust is a cool but underrated ability that is stuck on weak pokemon. Covert Cloak is cool but its hard to justify it over things like Leftovers or HDB. Trainers have generally weaker effects, allowing Mina to shine as the perfect place for a more effective Shield Dust outlet.
1746553255704.png

“Hard-Working Anarchist”
Name: Dustin (aka Masahiko)
Effect: Your Pokémon’s Steel-type moves deals 1.3x damage if you moved last.
Description: Dustin is a trainer that indirectly or directly controls the Mecha-Tyranitar (aka MT) in the Big Monster series. MT itself have the Steel-type and Analytic, hence the effect.
Competitive Potential: Steel moves in general doesn’t have a lot of oomph on them despite many Steel-type Pokémon being slow, so this effect will help slow Steel-type Pokémon to gain extra firepower on their Steel-type STAB, although it can also work as Steel-type coverage vs Fairy-type and Ice-type for your other Pokémon.
Biggest Benefactors: Any slow Steel-type Pokémon, slow Pokémon with at least one usable Steel-type moves.
1746442589901.png

Name: Youngster Joey
Effect: Quick Attack gains 20bp, Tackle gains 80bp, Tail Whip switches out the user.
Description: Buffs the preferred moves of his top percentage Rattata. Tackle is the most nieche change here but it allows mons like cinderace a nieche strong neutral option. Quick Attack gives mons like Cinderace and Weavile powerful priority under Tera and can allow BL mons like Blaziken and Iron Boulder to reach viability with less weakness to opposing priority. Tail Whip can turn Clodsire and Umbreon into bulky pivots that can support physical attackers and specifically aid Umbreon with Wish passing, while allowing offensive mons like Samurott and Azumaril to gain pivoting for utility and momentum.

There was a four way tie for first so I broke it via random number generator
Congratulations to the winners
4 : ErrorMon's Youngster
4 : Samtendo09's Dustin
4 : PalpitoadChamp's Mina
4 : flareth13's Lacey
3 : Noglastica's Bugsy
3 : PalpitoadChamp's Hex Maniac
3 : ErrorMon's Whitney
2 : PalpitoadChamp's Katy
1 : Noglastica's Jasmine
1 : Noglastica's Pryce

aaron.png

Trainer: Aaron
Effect: Users Honey has the effect of heavy duty boots and cannot be removed / tricked
Justification: Bug types are basically forced to use heavy duty boots 90% of the time, and also hate knock for this same reason. This allows bug types who are more defensive to remove the constraints of being knocked off to focus on their defensive ability.

Aaron is a bug type elite four member who has the famously hard to find heracross and somewhat hard to find honey pokemon, vespiquen, who both have honey relations.

lacey.png

Name: Lacey (resub)
Effect: All friendly Fairy and Ground type moves ignore abilities.
Description: Lacey is the Fairy-type E4 member of Blueberry Academy. Her ace is a Tera Fairy Excadrill with Mold Breaker, so it made sense for her trainer effect to reference Mold Breaker in some way.

lorelei-gen3.png

Name: Lorelei
Effect: Your Pokemon take 0.75x damage from Water-type moves. Your Pokemon can't be infatuated or taunted.
Description: Lorelei in FRLG has her Lapras that has Water Absorb as her final Pokemon. She also has two Pokemon on her team which both have Oblivious. So I smashed the two ideas together while also toning down the effects to not make it unbearable.

kahili.png

Name: Kahili
Effect: Your ball and bomb moves have 1.3x power.
Description: she golf.

Name: Grimsley
Effect: Your Pokémon's moves' secondary effect chance is doubled. (Serene Grace)
Description: He canonically has a ruinous gambling addiction, and everyone knows that the more you gamble the luckier you get!

1747085021979.png

Name: Rika
Effect: The first time you send a Pokémon into battle, it immediately uses Attract.
Description: When I first encountered Rika, it was love at first sight. This submission aims to replicate that. I lobve her,

1747091729438.png

Name: Shauntal
Effect: The first Pokemon that switches in uses Imprison, once per Pokemon.
Description: Shauntal is a Ghost-type user and writer who writes biographies, so I thought Imprison would be an interesting description as she probably writes something that curses the opponent.

1747092209590.png

Name: Bruno
Effect: Rock-type party members take 1/2 damage from Fighting-type moves.
Description: Tough man Kanto E4 member, known for having an Onix or 2 in his appearances, and they also learn Harden. Rocks so hard that fists cannot break them. A simple buff for a struggling type.

1747102808998.png

Name: Karen
Effect: Knock off does 1.3x damage even when the target is not holding an item. Taunt is also increased by 1 turn.
Description: "Held Item. No Held Item. That is only the selfish perception of people. Truly skilled Trainers should always click knock off no matter the situation." please vote karen i have a huge crush on her

1747103042693.png

Name: Aaron (Bugsy resub)
Effect: Bug types on your team are immune to stealth rock damage. Bug moves deal an additional 1.1x damage boost
Description: Lets you free up item slot on bug types and gives him a place on uturn teams.

1747114961541.png

Name: Hassel
Effect: Pokemon who Tera Dragon have 1.2x SPDEF.
Description: Hassel is a Dragon specialist in the terastalize generation. Ironically enough, this is more intended to be used by non dragons as most dragon types in the tier would rather use another Tera even with the buff. However, defensive mons like Gliscor and Dondozo might now consider it as a defensive type to patch up their weaknesses, particularly to Wellspring in Gliscor's case, and become a more bulky wall in the process. The defensive buff also makes it an effective option on some set-up sweepers.

1747115412984.png

Name: Karen
Effect: Pokémon ranked in RUBL or lower gain a 1.1x boost to all stats.
Description: You should know the quote, now lower tier mons just missing that little push can be actually viable. Specifically, I imagine that Weezing Galar, Manaphy, and Slither Wing would be the biggest beneficiaries of such a boost.

1747118531789.png

Name: Glacia
Effect: Non Ice types on your team gain 1.2x defense during snow.
Description: Counterpart to Steven which emphasises more hybrid forms of weather teams like Screens Offense and Glowking pivoting rather than a full Snow team. Allows non kyurem ice types to either be actually viable in terms of defensive utility and more likely facilitates offensive ice mons like Cetitan and Weavile. Also could be used to Tera Ice something running boots for recovery.

300px-Diamond_Pearl_Lucian.png

Name: Lucian
Effect: Your Psychic-type Pokemon take 0.9x less damage and deal 1.1x more damage if they move after the opponent.
Description: Lucian's main, Bronzong, is naturally slow and tanky, and in the anime, he typically allows the opponent to attack first. Bronzong tanks the attacks and then responds with Gyro Ball, a move that's stronger the slower you are compared to your opponent. He comes across as a patient, analytic type who waits for the perfect moment to strike. His support effect most directly benefits slower Psychic types like the Slowfam, but can also help other Psychic types that get outsped.

XY_Siebold.png

Name: Siebold
Effect: Your team's Water-type attacks deal 1.1x damage. Aura and pulse type moves deal 1.2x damage.
Description: Siebold's main in the anime is a Blastoise with a mega stone, which gets the ability Mega Launcher upon mega evolving. While his strongest Pokemon in the games is Barbaracle, his lead is Clawitzer, who is his main in the manga as well as Pokemon Masters. It also has the ability Mega Launcher.

grimsley.png

Name: Grimsley
Effect: Your moves with 90 BP or lower as well as an increased critical hit ratio have 1.3x power.
Description: Grimsley is a gambler and boy I love gambling. Grimsley also uses Night Slash as the Dark stab move for several of his key Pokemon, incentivizing the use of less common moves. The BP restriction is to prevent Wogerpon from getting a completely free 1.3x boost on Ivy Cudgel.

caitlin.png

Name: Caitlin
Effect: Your Psychic-type moves have 1.2x power. On the first turn of battle, reveal the opposing Pokemon's item.
Description: Caitlin is the Psychic elite four member who's ace is Gothitelle with the ability Frisk. The secondary effect is much more niche, but provides a nice bit of scouting to start off the game, while the primary effect can boost dangerous threats such as Iron Crown and Slowking-Galar.

kahili.png

Name: Kahili
Effect: Your multi-hit moves always hit 1 extra time (2-5 becomes 3-5, up to 3 becomes 1-3, up to 10 becomes 1-10). If used with Loaded Dice, 2-5 hits becomes always 5, up to 3 hits is unchanged, and up to 10 hits becomes 5-10 hits.
Description: Kahili provides a sizable benefit when combined with mons like Dragonite or Kyurem as it causes Loaded Dice to become far more effective while also incentivizing the use of more multi-hit moves as the minimum BP for a 25 bp multi-hit move got boosted from 50 to 75, which is significantly more effective.

rika.png

Name: Rika
Effect: After damaging a target with a damaging move, both Pokemon are immediately hit with a Magnitude of random power.
Description: Upon her Tera-Ground Clodsire using Earthquake the first time, she does warn us to "Watch your step, 'cause things are about to get shaky!" Magnitude is Earthquake's temperamental cousin, and its unpredictability serves as a warning for us to keep us on our guard. Just gonna take the Council's version...
caitlin-masters.png

Name: Caitlin
Effect: If an ally sets up Reflect, Light Screen, Aurora Veil, Safeguard, and Mist, they cannot be removed by the likes of Brick Break or Defog or bypassed by Abilities such as Screen Cleaner & Infiltrator; If an ally is asleep, restores 1/16 of the holder's maximum HP (rounded down, but not less than 1) at the end of each turn.
Description: In Masters, Caitlyn has a Mega Sableye sync pair whose Ability/Passive Skill sets this up. If setting them up is too strong, I'm just going to reinforce them instead. Caitlyn is also known for being sleepy. Sleeping now comes with Leftover-ish recovery.
grimsley-masters.png

Name: Grimsley
Effect: Each time the HP of your Pokemon is reduced below half due to being targeted by a damaging move, your team will immediately use Metronome, even if they are afflicted by Taunt, Torment, Encore, Disable, Cursed Body, Heal Block and Psychic Noise, infatuation, and Imprison, as well as Choice Items. Using this Metronome this way is a separate action to using the move originally selected, similar to Dancer.
* If the HP of your Pokémon drops below half but is about to be restored to above half due to a held item such as Sitrus Berry, the Metronome will only trigger if the HP is still below half after all the strikes and after the activation of the held item.
Description: A beautiful loss is still a loss, and an ugly win is still a win! This gambling addict ups the ante, slipping in more chances for an attack. I see no point for a Serene Grace effect since we have Mina...

Veto Phase
lorelei-gen3.png

Name: Lorelei
Effect: Your Pokemon take half-damage from Water-type moves.

Effect: Your Pokemon recieve 1/2 damage from ball and bomb moves. Your own ball and bomb moves (except for Rock Wrecker, though I doubt it would be an issue if included because of the recharge turn) have 1.3x power.
Description: she golf.
Lorelei: This is going to be vetoed for providing too big of a stop against Water-types. Reduce the damage decrease to 0.75x and it should be fine.
Kahili: This is going to be vetoed in its current state. Drop one of the effects and then this should be fine. If you keep the damage boost, you can make it affect Rock Wrecker as even with the boost, I doubt anyone would run it.

1747084866015.png

Name: Grimsley
Effect: Your Pokémon's moves' secondary effect chance is doubled. (Serene Grace)
Description: He canonically has a ruinous gambling addiction, and everyone knows that the more you gamble the luckier you get!

1747085021979.png

Name: Rika
Effect: The first time you send a Pokémon into battle, it immediately uses Attract.
Description: When I first encountered Rika, it was love at first sight. This submission aims to replicate that. I lobve her,
Grimsley: Doubling all secondary effects is too much of an effect, therefore this will be vetoed. Reduce the secondary effect increase to a flat 10% boost or a 1.3x boost.
Rika: Very funny joke. Vetoed.

1747091729438.png

Name: Shauntal
Effect: The first Pokemon that switches in uses Imprison, once per battle.
Description: Shauntal is a Ghost-type user and writer who writes biographies, so I thought Imprison would be an interesting description as she probably writes something that curses the opponent.
Shauntal: I like the idea, but since trainers are revealed before the battle starts, this is going to be vetoed for being too weak. Make it once per Pokemon and it should be fine.

1747114961541.png

Name: Hassel
Effect: Moves that lower stats sharply only lower stats by one stage, but the user takes double damage until their next turn.
Description: Hassel's ace is a Baxcaliber, so this takes from Glaive Rush. Since Iris already buffs Dragons, this is more of a general buff. Specifically for more hyper offensive teams which can afford to be more easily revenged.

1747118531789.png

Name: Glacia
Effect: Non Ice types on your team gain 1.3x defense during snow, Ice types (excluding Kyurem) heal 1/16th of their health during snow.
Hassel: This is going to be vetoed for being too strong. We were on the fence about this one but we decided that it causes Draco Meteor to become too potent as well as stepping on the niche that Iris has.
Glacia: I mentioned this on Discord but this is going to be vetoed for being too strong. You also aren't allowed to exclude one specific Pokemon like that. Keeping just the first part would still be too strong, but keeping the second effect would probably be too weak. I recommend keeping one of them and changing it some.

300px-Diamond_Pearl_Lucian.png

Name: Lucian
Effect: Your Pokemon take 0.8x less damage and deal 1.1x more damage if they move after the opponent.
His support effect promotes the use of slower Pokemon, especially oriented toward bulky offense Pokemon/teams. While many supports are solely offense oriented, Lucian's provides a mix of offense and defense, requiring strategic teambuilding to use him well.

XY_Siebold.png

Name: Siebold
Effect: Your team's Water-type attacks deal 1.1x damage. Water and Fire type attacks gain +20% chance to burn.
Description: Siebold is a Water-type user and a master chef, so this effect is just him trying to cook the opponent's Pokemon. This means Scald has an even higher chance to burn, and the opponent's physical attackers will need to be more cautious staying in against anything with Water or Fire type attacks. This could make teams that like using these move types more potent, like rain and sun teams.
Lucian: This is going to be vetoed for being really powerful on stall as well as stepping too far on the toes of Dustin. Rework the sub to something else.
Siebold: This is going to be vetoed for providing too big of a benefit for spamming Water and Fire moves. Scald is an incredibly potent move for a reason so being able to slap a mini version of it onto every Water/Fire move is too much. Please rework the effect.

rika.png

Name: Rika
Effect: Your damaging moves ground the target. At the end of the turn, a Magnitude of random power will damage the target at the end of the turn, similar to Future Sight.
Description: Upon her Tera-Ground Clodsire using Earthquake the first time, she does warn us to Watch your step, 'cause things are about to get shaky! Magnitude is Earthquake's lesser cousin, and its unpredictability serves as a warning for us to keep us on our guard.
caitlin-masters.png

Name: Caitlin
Effect: Sets up Reflect and Light Screen the first time you enter the battlefield. Your team's Reflect, Light Screen, Aurora Veil, is extended to eight turns and cannot be broken by moves such as Brick Break or Psychic Fangs.
Description: In Masters, Caitlyn has a Mega Sableye sync pair whose Ability/Passive set this up. Competitively speaking, this helps bolster your defensive backbone in the early game.
grimsley-masters.png

Name: Grimsley
Effect: When you are hit by an attack, you use Metronome. Using a Metronome this way is a separate action to using the move originally selected, similar to Dancer. If you are hit by a multistrike move (such as Population Bomb), only the final hit will trigger the Metronome.
Description: A beautiful loss is still a loss, and an ugly win is still a win! This gambling addict ups the ante, slipping in more chances for an attack. I see no point for a Serene Grace effect since we have Mina...
Rika: Grounding each Pokemon by hitting them as well as Magnitude each turn is too much and this is vetoed. I saw your original version of this and it was much more reasonable. Noglastica came up with a version that would work: After attacking, both Pokemon are hit by Magnitude. This way, it incentivizes building your team around Levitate, Flying-types, and Air Balloon while also making less potent types such as Grass or Bug extra appealing. That is still a really strong effect, but it has a clear downside that can be mitigated by good teambuilding.
Caitlin: Holy vetoed. Free screens at the start of the game is already insanely broken but a free three turn extension on screens makes it even more broken. This would be broken with just the screen extension effect. Rework the sub to something else or scrap the free screens and nerf the extension to an extra 1 or 2 free turns.
Grimsley: We were on the fence about this one but we are going to veto this as the effect is too consistant to activate. Make the effect happen less often and it will be okay.

I changed Lucian's to only affect Psychic types and reduced the damage reduction. Siebold's effect no longer affects Fire type moves and the added burn percentage has been lowered. Is this enough of an adjustment?

Oh no, I'm late, I'm LATE!

Name: Hala
Effect: All Out-Melemele: Whenever a friendly Pokémon is sent out, it's the power of it's next non-priority Fighting-type move becomes 100.
Description: This is the power of the All-Out Pummeling that his Crabrawler uses in the Melemele grand trial!

Name: Ritchie
Effect: Friends Til' The End: If a Pokémon would create a Substitute, but has less than 25% HP, it will still make one by spending HP until it has 1% HP left.
Description: Ritche is a member of the Elite Four in Pokémon Puzzle League, so this ability is designed around the game's ability to send garbage blocks at your opponents (Or in this case, Substitutes!)
1747404074278.png

Name: Koga
Effect: Secrets of the Ninja: Toxic damage starts at 2×⌊HPmax16⌋ instead of 1×⌊HPmax16⌋.
Description: This ability improves the power of Toxic, the TM he gave out in Generation 1.

acerola.png

Name: Acerola
Effect: Any time one of your opponent's opposing Pokemon hits one of your non-Terastallized Ghost-type Pokemon, the attacking Pokemon loses HP equal to 1/8th of the damage dealt.
Description: I am very TCG Pocket-pilled right now and this damage moving effect is very loosely similar to what Acerola does in that game. Gholdengo and Pecharunt all make fine use of this, getting some nice extra chip damage across the entire game thanks to their bulk. Offensive stuff like Sash Ceruledge or Dragapult also appreciate the tiny bit of chip.

marshal.png

Name: Marshal
Effect: Your Pokémon's physical attacks ignore the burn attack drop.
Description: Mimics how Marshal (in B2W2) has two mons with Guts, making your physical mons a lot harder to shut down.

will.png

Name: Will
Effect: Future Sight has 1.3x power when used by your Pokemon. If you have a Pokemon with Future Sight and isn't a Psychic-type and is not Terastallized, that Pokemon gains the Psychic-type on switch-in (a la Forest's Curse).
Description: Will has two Xatus, which, in terms of flavor, is the poster child of the move Future Sight. Promotes more offensive move of the move since the extra power makes it easier to bully fat teams with but you are spending your Trainer Support to boost the damage of one move. The type change is mostly a fun add-on since I doubt you're gonna use Golduck or Noctowl or Whiscash.

Veto Update
1747084866015.png

Name: Grimsley
Effect: Your Pokémon's moves' secondary effect chance is doubled. (Serene Grace)
Description: He canonically has a ruinous gambling addiction, and everyone knows that the more you gamble the luckier you get!

1747085021979.png

Name: Rika
Effect: The first time you send a Pokémon into battle, it immediately uses Attract.
Description: When I first encountered Rika, it was love at first sight. This submission aims to replicate that. I lobve her,
these are still vetoed since they haven't been changed

XY_Siebold.png

Name: Siebold
Effect: Your team's Water-type attacks deal 1.1x damage and gain +10% chance to burn.
Description: Siebold is a Water-type user and a master chef, so this effect is just him trying to cook the opponent's Pokemon. This means Scald has an even higher chance to burn, and moves like Flip Turn and Water Ivy Cudgel now have the added effect chance too. This could make teams that like using these move types more potent, like rain teams.
Siebold: This is going to be vetoed as slapping a tiny burn chance on all Water moves is kinda cringe still. Flip Turn with a chance to invalidate any Physical attacker that switches in is lame (Noglastica brought up Wogerpon/Walking Wake Flip Turning/just normally attacking and now any physical checks can't effectively do anything for the rest of the game). Please rework the sub.

rika.png

Name: Rika
Effect: Upon successfully damaging a grounded target(s), a Magnitude of random power will affect the entire battlefield at the end of the turn, similar to Future Sight.
Gonna take in some suggestions from the Council...
caitlin-masters.png

Name: Caitlin
Effect: Sets up Reflect and Light Screen the first turn you enter battle. If an ally is asleep, restores 1/16 of the holder's maximum HP (rounded down, but not less than 1) at the end of each turn.
Description: In Masters, Caitlyn has a Mega Sableye sync pair whose Ability/Passive Skill sets this up. Competitively speaking, this helps bolster your defensive backbone in the early game. Caitlyn is also known for being sleepy. Also comes with Leftover-ish recovery.
Rika: This is still too strong and therefore still vetoed.
Caitlin: Please stop trying to get free screens at the start of the game. Still crazy vetoed. The secondary effect is good enough to run on its own (Rest Ting-Lu and Dondozo are real sets so free Leftovers for them is cool), so you should just keep the second effect and scrap the first.

Name: Hala
Effect: All Out-Melemele: Whenever a friendly Pokémon is sent out, it's the power of it's next Fighting-type move becomes 100.
Description: This is the power of the All-Out Pummeling that his Crabrawler uses in the Melemele grand trial!

Name: Ritchie
Effect: Friends Til' The End: If an enemy Pokémon loses more than 80% of their HP in a single attack, each friendly Pokémon creates a Substitute. However, it still must have enough HP to make a Subsitute in the first place.
Description: Ritche is a member of the Elite Four in Pokémon Puzzle League, so this ability is designed around the game's ability to send garbage blocks at your opponents (Or in this case, Substitutes!)
1747404074278.png

Name: Koga
Effect: Secrets of the Ninja: If an enemy Pokémon would be Poisoned, it instead becomes Badly Poisoned.
Description: This ability makes all cases of Poison act like Toxic, the TM he gave out in Generation 1.
Hala: This is vetoed as Mach Punch/Vacuum Wave are way too strong at 100 bp. Make it not affect increased priority moves and it should be fine as it incentivizes Drain Punch/Body Press in a unique way.
Ritchie: This is going to be vetoed for making it far too difficult to revenge kill dangerous threats. If you need to sack a mon in order to switch in an answer, you just kinda loose on the spot as now you get a free Substitute to keep you around.
Koga: This is vetoed for being rather weak and being outclassed by Miriam.

acerola.png

Name: Acerola
Effect: Anytime one of your opponent's opposing Pokemon hits one of your Ghost-type Pokemon, the attacking Pokemon loses HP equal to 1/8th of the damage dealt.
Description: I am very TCG Pocket-pilled right now and this damage moving effect is very loosely similar to what Acerola does in that game. Gholdengo, Pecharunt, and Tera Ghost Ting-Lu all make fine use of this, getting some nice extra chip damage across the entire game thanks to their bulk.

marshal.png

Name: Marshal
Effect: Your Pokémon's physical attacks are only reduced to 0.75x power by burn instead of 0.5x.
Description: Mimics how Marshal (in B2W2) has two mons with Guts, making your physical mons a little harder to shut down but they don't go completely unpunished.

will.png

Name: Will
Effect: Future Sight has 1.3x power when used by your Pokemon. If you have a Pokemon with Future Sight and isn't a Psychic-type and is not Terastallized, that Pokemon gains the Psychic-type on switch-in.
Acerola: This is going to be vetoed for the horror that is Tera Ghost Ting-Lu/Gliscor/insert bulky mon. Tera Ghost is already one of the best Tera types in the format so making it give free chip when you tera your Ting-Lu into a type you already were going to is kinda lame. Make it affect only non-Tera and it should be pretty interesting.
Marshal: While not a straight up veto, this is going to be noted as being very weak. I would recommend making this better as it isn't super notable.
Will: The only problem is where does the additional Psychic-type get added to? Does it replace the secondary type? Become pure Psychic? Get added as a third typing? Other than that, this is fine.

Additional Balance Patch
Noglastica and I have been doing some playtesting and we have come up with a few issues that need to be fixed

cynthia-gen4.png

Your Plate items boost their respective type by 1.4x instead of 1.2x. -> Your Plate items boost their respective type by 1.3x instead of 1.2x.

We have come to the conclusion that Cynthia is way too good. 1.4x is a really potent boost and offers too much benefit for powerful attacks such as Kingambit and Kyurem which already run Black Glasses/Never-Melt Ice as well as making the item extremely splash-able on most offensive threats. Therefore the effect is getting a power nerf. We still have our eyes on this one even after the nerf.

sidney-gen3.png

Your Pokemon bounce back stat-reducing effects as if they had the ability Mirror Armor. -> Your Pokemon bounce back stat-reducing effects as if they had the ability Mirror Armor. Your Dark-type moves have 1.1x power.

Sidney was lacking in a good enough effect to justify over better Trainers, so a minor boon on your Dark moves will hopefully be enough to boost this into relevancy.

lance-gen1.png
roxanne.png

Another thing to note is Lance still gives the tag that your mon has to recharge for a turn, but is able to act, so its just a visual problem that likely can't be fixed. Roxanne currently does not work at all, so hopefully that should get fixed shortly (Larry and other boosting Trainers do work, its just Roxanne. Brycen-Man's accuracy boost has not been tested so it is unknown if that is also not working).
