~Trick or Treat~ Halloween RMT! (OU)

My favorite time of the year is approaching, and what better way to get into the spirit then to make a team! This will be used to ladder but will be for fun first and foremost. I'm not the most creative of the bunch and am willing to try new members as long as they fit the team as right now i'm limited on types..

Lets lead off with...........

430.jpg

'Diablo' the Honchkrow(M)@Choice Scarf
Nature:Adamant
Ability:Insomnia
Ev's:24HP/252ATK/232SPE
-Night Slash
-Drill Peck
-Superpower
-Pursuit

Leading with Honchkrow? This team is gaining cool points already! Unfortunately i've never used Honchkrow so I'm having trouble using it effectively. I've seen a few mixed LO sets but i dont have the spread for them, so i scarfed them. Pursuit deals with Gengar, Azelf, and Zam. Night Slash and Drill Peck for STAB, and Superpower for coverage. Max ATK, SPE Ev's let me outspeed 216 Timid Starmie, rest in HP.

FYI-The Nickname came from Maleficient's pet Raven from Sleeping Beauty. ^_^

'Doppleganger' the Gengar(F)@Expert Belt
Nature:Hasty
Ability:Levitate
Ev's:64ATK/192SpA/252SPE
-Substitute
-Focus Punch
-Shadow Ball
-Thunderbolt

It's a Halloween team, so Gengar is a must, and hes also really good. Gengar is sadly my only member who can actually pose a threat to Blissey besides Honchkrow and Mismagius if she can set up, so yeah thats kinda sad.....

I never liked Hypnosis' accuracy and with the change to 60% in Platinum it gives me even more of a reason to not use it, so i threw Thunderbolt in there, which is still a very potent move.

'Cerberus' the Houndoom(M)@Leftovers/Salac Berry
Nature:Timid
Ability:Flash Fire
Ev's:40HP/252SpA/216SPE
-Substitute
-Nasty Plot
-Flamethrower
-Dark Pulse/HP {Fighting}

Oh Houndoom, how i loved you so since the 2nd Gen. This Houndoom is built to be a late game sweepwer when the enemy is (hopefully) weakened. Sub Plot up and Sweep with STAB Flamethrower and Dark Pulse. Heatran and TTar still fuck him up real good, so HP Fighting is an option.

Leftovers or Salac? Leaning more towards Lefties for now....If only he got Blaze. (but i guess Flash Fire can make up for that....)

dp-mismagius.png

'Hag of Salem' the Mismagius(F)@Leftovers
Nature:Timid
Ability:Levitate
Ev's:108HP/176SpA/224Spe
-Substitute
-Calm Mind
-Shadow Ball
-Hidden Power {Fighting}

Gengar and Mismagius on the same team? The originality is flowing. -_- Luckily, Mismagius pairs well with Umbreon. If Umbreon can Trap a weak special attacker, Mismagius can set-up on it and sweep the enemy team. Shadow Ball and HP {Fighting} give perfect coverage, and there's not much else to say about her. If Houndoom can't sweep then she does and Vice-Versa.

197umbreon.gif

'ShadowVeil' the Umbreon(M)@Leftovers
Nature:Careful
Ability:Synchronize
Ev's:252HP/208SpD/50Spe
-Mean Look
-Baton Pass
-Yawn
-Taunt

Umbreon has the most deadly combination ever, Mean Look and Baton Pass, and this helps me set up another pokemon easily. Yawn a switch-in, Mean look the switch, (or take the hit as Umbie's Bulky) and Baton Pass to another teammate. This Umbreon is geared to take special hits better, and the SPE Ev's let me taunt Skarmory before he can think of setting up any hazards.

weezing.png

'Gaseous Pumpkin' the Weezing(F)@Black Sludge
Nature:Bold
Ability:Levitate
Ev's:252HP/252DEF/4SpA
-Flamethrower
-Thunderbolt
-Will-o-Wisp/HP {Ground}
-Pain Split

The first and only non Dark/Ghost type, YAY! Weezing's been seeing declining useage for a while now, but it's still a surefire counter to Heracross, SDLuke, and Gyarados. I don't really want to give Heatran a free switch-in to Will-o-Wisp, and am thinking of packing HP {Ground} to kick his ass. Thoughts?

Hope you enjoyed reading this RMT. I need lots of help so any advice is appreciated.

Hehe, considering the theme behind this is a creative party. First off, have you considered using Spiritomb? It kind of has a jack-o-lantern face.
Anyway I've got some comments. Well due to your team's typing it is vulnerable to Dark and Fight type moves. Your Honchkrow and Weezing can handle them just watch out for Guts foes and Rock users. For Weezing you can go for Hidden Power Ground.
If you want to hinder physical foes how about having an Umbreon with Charm? I'd also recommend Light Screen support.

Yeah, of course i thought of Spritomb. xD

It's just that it's too defensive minded, and I cant really drag on the battles because this team needs to kill ASAP. I tried a nasty plot set but it was too weak. Umbreons been working perfectly with Mismagius so i think it'll stay the way it is. I'll give Weezing HP ground.

Have you ever considered making Gengar or Mismagius use a Trick set? I dunno... at first when I read the title of the thread, I was thinking, "Hm... maybe this team will have several Trick users..." but then it didn't. It would fit your theme :P I think your team is fairly creative.

Standard Gengar and Alakazam rip through this team, being able to eat up all the candy of victory before you can scare them. I'm seriously suggesting Spiritomb to take care of Gengar and Alakazam.

Maybe if umbreon had payback you could handle gengar and alakazam. Payback one shots alakazam and almost one hit KOs gengar. Max special defense umbreon is cheap sauce. But I don't know what move you could get rid of, so forget it. Just depend on focus blast missing or predicting to take them on. It looks to me that if the foe has skarm-bliss they are in for a tough time.

IMO one of the coolest trick or treat pokemons is banette. The scarf- crippler makes a fantastic lead: thunderwave, wil-o-wisp and shadow claw demolishes most leads. Another option is crobat: it is faster than both gengar and alakazam and can hit them with ...something, and it is a bat.

Giving gengar hypnosis over thunderbolt will make blissey killing infinately easier. Trust me on this: Mcgar can destroy teams with a quick hypnosis. Assuming it hits, that is... Thank platinum the accuracy of hypnosis is lower.

How can you say that you have troubles with blissey, when you have mismagius? it is a fantastic blissey killer. It's substitutes remain after an ice beam or flamethrower every time.
